First Day of Immunotheraphy Treatment Post Cancer

[00:00:00]I'm back again. I'm here at PMOD Infusion Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The same place, the same place that I took the the eight chemo treatment. The purpose of this uh treatment is to uh additional safeguard on the fact that I'm cancer free. So, they got me hooked up uh to this unit. It's not like the original uh uh treatment program I was going through with the chemo. Chemo lasted like from 4 to 5 hours. That's a long long time. And this treatment only lasts about an hour, you know. Then I'll be able to go home, you know. But I'm looking out the window and if you can see >> how how bad the weather is. I'm glad that I came early. They gave me a slot.

[00:00:57]I earned a slot cuz if I would have came at 2:00, I would have been in that that storm and backed up with all that traffic that they have on the expressway and and that would have been like hell and hot water.

[00:01:12]But uh I have like uh six uh infusion uh that I have to go to. That's >> once a month for 6 months. Then I have this part behind me. And then, you know, I'll be going to my primary care position and they'll be checking out and seeing what my PSI uh is going to I hope I said right. PSI, PSA, PSI going to be. And uh I feel like I'm good shape. My my hair on my chin is growing back. you know, my face beginning to to feel out, you know, and uh uh my digestive system is working real real good, you know, and I'm sleeping real good. I'm drinking a whole lot of water, whole lot of liquids, you know, >> I don't have no pain and aches in my body, in my stomach area, and all this is a blessing, you know. So, uh I drove here this morning. My daughter had other businesses to take care of and uh I feel I feel good but I still go to my regular exercise routine. I exercise in the morning and a little bit in the noon time and in the evening and trying to keep my body in in shape. I'm not doing any uh uh the leg exercises that I do don't have an effect on my my stomach area.

[00:02:44]>> The arm exercise I do don't have an effect on my stomach area, you know.

[00:02:49]>> So, uh going forward, I'll pay my uh nutritionist gave me a list of things in my pocket to what to eat, what not to eat, you know, and different programs that they have that uh I could be a part of uh and and uh having a better nutritional program. So all that pork is out the window. All that fast food is out the window. All that sugary sugary stuff is out the window. There a whole lot of stuff is out the window. And uh uh I'm blessed to have a second chance.

[00:03:27]You know what I'm saying? And uh my doctor, as I told you, I think in one of the videos uh when I had my appointment last week, about a week ago, matter of fact, it was a week ago uh that this type of cancer. There's not too many people survive this, you know, >> and uh it's a blessing that >> uh from God that uh I survived this. So, I have to stick with the right regiment, keep my doctor's appointment, and eat the right food, you know, >> and um >> and keep away from negativity. You know what I'm saying? negativity. Like I said, uh my energy level is coming back.

[00:04:13]>> Um my my weight is beginning to come back >> and screwed up.

[00:04:22]>> I just feel good. I I really really feel good.

[00:04:25]>> And I'm like I said, I'm thankful for that. My doctor, my daughter, she stuck and stayed with me through the whole process.

[00:04:33]And I had a couple of friends and family members call, but the ones that I thought that really would call, they I I know what it is. When you go through counsel, people think that they don't know how to talk to you. They don't know how to call you. Say, "Hey, how you doing?" You know, because they look at you in biblical mind saying that they might get c [laughter] they they might get uh contaminated, you know, but all all my weight coming back.

[00:05:06]I feel real good. I move around real good. Uh I drove from um >> Oh, sure. How much?

[00:05:17]>> About an hour and a half to the doctor's office. And hey, I at least I got that behind me, you know. So, what I'm doing now, I'm taking one step at a time. I'm listen to my doctor, the nutritionist, and um get my proper rest before I could shift gears, start shipping gills when that time come back on the farm cuz I there's a whole lot of things that need to be done. I'm not going to rush it, but I'm going to schedule my my time appropriately, you know, and get things organized like it should be, you know.

[00:05:52]So, all I uh like I say, I got I got six treatments. That's one treatment per month. Then I'll be through, you know.
