Bakhoor Bliss | The World’s First Perfume Inspired by Real Emirati Bakhoor Smoke

[00:00:07]Hello everyone. Today it is a new episode talking about a lot of nice things.

[00:00:15]Uh today I already started the bakhoor.

[00:00:18]So, as I told you, we have the charcoal.

[00:00:22]Uh we just uh fired it and then we kept it and and I just added bakhoor majlis for people uh to try it and see how uh it smells. Bakhoor majlis smells really beautiful. I I'm putting it because I was sitting here since around 4 hours and I want my room to be always filled up with bakhoor and nice perfumes.

[00:00:50]Uh so, with bakhoor majlis you will get a lot of florals and musk. Uh so, it's beautiful for the room uh and for the housing. You know, in bakhoor it's not always where you put it in our clothing, we put it for our houses and the bakhoor is for our houses, the oud is for the uh if we're going out or something like that.

[00:01:12]Um Of course, people know the bakhoor and a lot of people know the bakhoor, but uh I want to give uh a really good chance for bakhoor to talk about bakhoor bliss.

[00:01:25]Bakhoor bliss is a perfume where was uh created. Uh I always uh since I was young, I was grown up smelling those uh bakhoor.

[00:01:38]And uh like in in my dreams, I always wanted to recreate the smoke smell. And the smoke smell is it's not smoke, it is the the aroma that is coming, the oil that is mixing, and the oud uh that is mix So, it is a mix of a lot of things in [snorts] this smell. So, when you want to smell the bakhoor, always do like this.

[00:02:05]So, it will it it you will really smell how the aroma is. And I wanted to recreate this beautiful smell.

[00:02:11]And in 2020, I heard about the headspace technology. With our partners, we have worked on um on a fragrance. I wanted to capture this beautiful smell.

[00:02:24]And they told me, "Let us try it." And we put the machine inside. Um and uh you know, the perfumer behind this is is Kevin Mathys.

[00:02:33]Uh you will see him Fragrantica. And we captured the beautiful smell of the smoke. There are a lot of people that are not used to smelling the smoke.

[00:02:42]But when you If you're If you're used to it, uh you will really enjoy it. But if you're not used to it, I always prefer trying Bakhoor Bliss. Uh so, it is is a combination of the bakhoor smell along with uh a lot of natural oud. So, you know, in The Scent Library, especially, we grown up as smelling natural oud. We have a lot of We collect oud from different regions.

[00:03:10]And one major thing that we don't use a lot of synthetic oud. We always use natural oud. What is the difference is one major thing is difference is the pricing. When you use natural oud is a bit expensive. And why I say expensive is not because of just expensive. It is because of how rare it is or the the power or the uh time taken to take this.

[00:03:36]It is really takes years to produce this from the tree to getting the oil to a lot of factors.
