[00:00:18]So, here's what's important to know about filing is you want to do it after you've had a good night's rest and you've you're calm. Um due process is a court proceeding and unlike cases that you might see on TV or criminal cases that go on for 2 years, once you file due process, it starts a very specific timeline, a very quick specific timeline. Um you can look that up in your state under dispute resolution options. So, and we get this when somebody calls myself or one of my partners, um I have the first call tomorrow with the hearing officer, can you jump on?

[00:00:53]No, it's it's I mean, it's way too important for us to and we don't jump on anyway without being prepared.

[00:00:59]Um I have had families that have hired us to uh look through their information, look at their filing, and then we we clean the filing up with them legally so that it can be um able to meet the standard for the the district, county, or city. Um when you file due process, it has to meet certain legal thresholds.

[00:01:18]Most parents file emotionally, which is understandably um what they would do, uh but if it's not um if it doesn't meet the procedural and substantive requirements for filing, the hearing officer um will um acquiesce to the school district attorney and lack of a better word, throw it out.
