Here is how to auto park a Tesla Model Y.
If you're in a parking lot with lots of nice white lines, you're in luck.
Because the Tesla cameras can sense the white lines.
And you'll see that it will suggest a place for you to park.
I am not in self-driving. I'm just have my foot on the gas.
And I'm driving around this parking lot.
So you'll see the Tesla will notice the white lines outside with its cameras and it will suggest places for you to park.
So once you find a place you want to park, you're just going to press the parking space with your finger and the car will do the rest. So I want to park right there. I'll press the parking spot and I'll say start the parking and that's about it.
The car will now maneuver and pretty much park itself.
And you'll see it pulling into the parking space there.
And that's it.
That's how you park it.
At least in a marked parking spot.
Well, it worked on that one.
So now I'm going to pull out of here and do it again.
So in self-driving, it won't notice parking spots.
I don't think.
Hit the brake pedal and just drive around on your own without self-driving and look for a parking spot.
Okay, there is one over there.
That one right there. That's going to be a hard one for it to get because there's a car there and I'm here.
So, let's give it a difficult one.

What's it going to do? It's going to pull out.

All right, let's go back out and try for one more.
So, I stopped it.
It was in self-drive. Stopped it. Now, let's go down here where the golf carts are.
I'm in a golf course, by the way, so that's what I'm doing.
I'm just trying to get this car to figure out how to park it.
And now I know the trick, at least if the parking spots are marked. So, here these golf carts, there's no marked spots I can see.
So, the car is not reading any spots.
And Oh, there's one, I think.
And what's in that spot?
Nothing.
Okay, it's saying yeah, we'll do that one.
And there's golfers over here getting out.
Let's see if it'll do it.
I'll mind you we got cars, we got golfers.
It's driving itself, don't mind me.
Okay.
And it respected the golfers.
That's a pretty hard decision for it.
So it kind of stopped.
No, now it's going for it.
It didn't quite know what those golfers were doing.
But it's in there.
We're between two cars.
Good job on that one.
All right.
That's all done.
Start driving.
It saw the golf cart.
>> Where would you like to go?
>> Okay, let's try it again.
>> I found this on the web.
>> I'm going to stop it.
And there's a spot right there.
Take that one.
That spot is between two cars.
There's the can.
Painless for me.
And there comes a car coming through.
Okay, we're in.
Let's go back out.
So, yeah, it made it in there fine.
So, yeah, we can park well in spots that are marked. What about unmarked? Now, how do we do a parallel park?
