TYRESE HALIBURTON TALKS KNICKS RIVALRY, GAME 7 OF THE FINALS & THE NBA PLAYOFFS! | S8 EP70Added:
Okay, we back at it.
Welcome back to It is What It Is. I'm your host for the week, Arabia Tillery, filling in for Stat Baby this week. And today we are joined by Cam and our special analyst today since Mace is out, Tyrese Hallebertton. How are you?
>> I'm good. I'm good.
>> Reese, what's up, man?
>> What up? What up? Appreciate.
>> First of all, I've been working with this young lady for probably going on two years and this the first time we actually met in person. Look good.
>> Thank you. So do you.
>> I know that, but I'm just saying it's good as good as you look on the screen.
But seriously, thank you and thank you for coming in this week. you do a spectacular job with all NFL with your page and NFL in general. Um, we know it's the playoffs, so we going to see what's going on for basketball right now and it's also draft week, so we got a lot to talk about, man.
>> Definitely.
>> Reese, what's good, man?
>> What's good, bro? Appreciate.
>> Listen, I don't know if people see me on the internet yesterday or anything else, just know I changed my socks, underwear, and t-shirt, man, cuz I was out last night with this, but I haven't been home yet. So, I was at a friend of mine, but I made sure I went to Walgreens and ch Walmart and changed up everything. So, don't be like, Cam is We're good. We're good, man. Reese, what's happening, man?
>> What's good, though? You good?
>> Listen, we about to talk some basketball, some players before Arabia asks us uh the NBA questions. I want to ask you a few a few questions. How do you feel when people be like, "He only be with white girls. He never be with nobody."
>> That don't bother me because you got to you got to think like my fiance, she she's a white girl. You know what I mean? So, uh, she's >> we see you hopping out of like two videos.
>> But the brother here, I'm from Wisconsin. I grew up around all white people, you know what I mean? My girl is from Iowa. She grew around all white people, you know what I mean? So, all like that that video where you see me hop out the car with a bunch of white girls. It's like her sister and all her friends from growing up. So, people killing me. I'm like, these are just our people from growing up.
>> Exactly. Exactly. How did you feel when your father ran down on Giannis?
during the playoffs. How did you feel about that, >> dog? You know, the funny thing is I really didn't know it. I didn't know it was happening until I got to the locker room. I checked my phone, my Twitter's blowing up. text me, "What's good with Pops?" To be honest, I'm like, "What are y'all talking about?" And then I seen the video. I said, "Damn, I was uh you know, I I not that I was disappointed. I just I was mad that that's what they wanted to turn the conversation into." And like he handled it correctly after and every It's water under the bridge now. But at the time, I was I was low-key hot with him for a little minute. Yeah. What was that conversation like after you found out when you went home later or whenever you spoke to him late? What did you say to him? Yeah. When you seen me?
>> I called him. I was getting a massage. I called him. I said, "Hey, bro. What happened?" And he, you know, man, I I don't I I blacked out. I don't even remember. I was on the court celebrating. Next thing you know, vu.
I'm like, man, I'm like now I was lowkey mad. I probably I don't never like get at my pops or yell, you know, respect.
My dad is OG, you know, but I was like, man, I'm just mad that you handled it that way. Whatever. Whatever. We had a lot of conversations after it, but he was very apologetic and you know, we just moved on.
>> No, that's what's up. Your playoff run last year was something epic. Like you said, at least one game you had a gamewinning shot in every series of the playoffs. Um I'm from New York. I'm not My team is the Spurs, but I'm from New York. I'm not going to have high blood pressure, disappointment, so on and so forth being a Nick fan. The Knicks haven't I'm not old enough. I'm old. I I'm not even old enough to see the Knicks one. They haven't won in 53 years. Um, when you hit that shot and you hit them with the Reggie Miller choke >> now. I know you thought you won the game, but your foot was on the line. How long have you been thinking about doing that? Cuz that like I was growing up, I was probably a teenager, maybe junior high school when Reggie Miller actually did that to the Knicks. And when I seen you did do it, I was laughing so hard because New York fans really thought you missed and the ball bounces up and then it goes in. That couldn't have been spurred the moment. You had you had to think in your brain, one of these days, right?
>> I'm going to come in Madison Square Garden, have this opportunity >> to do this and it and it y'all won the game, so it it ended up working out. How long had you been thinking about that, >> dog? You know, I like I grew up, you know, they they I ain't really like obviously that's like before I was born, those like Pacers Nick series and uh you know, they had the 30 for30 on ESPN back in the day, the Reggie Miller, the winning time, right? So, I used to watch that all the time. That's how I got to know who Reggie Miller was. And so, when I got traded to Indiana, that conversation was always there, the com, you know, I'm like the next Reggie to the Pacers, whatever. And so, from there, every time we play the Knicks, I'm like, damn, I'm waiting for the right time. Like, it's going to be the right time eventually. And everybody always like, yo, you got to pull out the choke, whatever. I'm like, but you can't just do that and look thirsty. You know what I mean? Got to be the right. They got to choke a lead and it's got to happen the right time. And that's exactly what happened. So, uh, I was like, I was lowkey mad that I broke it out and it didn't win the game. You know what I mean? Uh, but it's definitely some memorable something we'll remember forever. I I got to give you credit cuz we, uh, we listen to it when we play in New York or we play these teams from these cities. We usually listen to artists from the city, you know what I mean? So, a lot of times in the in the locker room, we listen to listen to a lot, man. That especially I the song that makes me think the most about those series is uh I'm Ready.
>> Oh yeah. I appreciate that.
>> We used to rock that >> I appreciate I put the battery in your back basically to go back. Now I appreciate it. How tough was it right for And I'm sitting there watching your playoff run last season and I'm like y'all can say what you want because sometime you get scrutinized cuz they say he's herky jerky or he's not a traditional point guard or you know you don't play like Chris Paul. You have your own style but it works. How disappointing was it to get to game seven and you you was already injured and people see you play your heart out and then of of course any injury is always disappointing but how disappointing is it to see you game seven championship um one game of win one game away from winning it and then not being able to win it. What's your off season like? And what is that mentality like? And what's the what's their motivation to get back out there winning, but how bad is it?
Does it how depressing is it? Cuz we hear players talk about all the time when they have the injury that you have the um journey to get back. Was it really tough for you over the summer?
>> Yeah, for sure. That summer was hard, bro. Cuz like you said, it's like it's uh it's almost like dealing with like the best way I could compare it with, but it's bigger than that is like somebody's first heartbreak. You know what I mean? Like that's what it was to me cuz everybody talk about how bad was the pain, whatever, whatever. It wasn't about >> I got hurt or like the injury. I knew I was going to get surgery and whatever.
It was just more so about the heartbreak of being in that situation >> somewhere you dream of being at your whole life and it just kind of, you know, get ripped out of your hand so fast. So that summer, I mean, last summer was like, >> I don't want to say it was the worst summer cuz I got engaged and had some good things happen, you know, but like having to go from, you know, almost like being like Superman at the top of the game, like literally, you know, 48 minutes away from being at the top of my sport, like, you know, doing something that could never take away from me. Uh to like I can't even walk, you know what I mean? I can't shower without assistance. I can't uh like get dressed and undressed without help, you know?
Like that's hard. And that's like hard to hard to accept. So it it took a while, but you know, once I got through that and you know, I had a great support. I have a great support system.
My family, everybody took care of me, made sure I was good. Uh but it's still hard, bro. Like even talking about it, uh like I don't I try not to like go back. I don't even really watch the old games like that. Like it like we had a crazy playoff run. It's hard for me to even go back and watch cuz I know how it ends. You feel me? Um but I'm a big believer in everything happens for a reason. I'm a big believer that uh you know what goes around like this this happened to me. But there's a reason for this and you know that's going to empower me to do some more special things in my career. So you know I ain't going to lie brother we what day two of the playoffs today.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know if I've watched a game. You feel me? I came out here I said man I'm going to watch Wrestlemania. I'm going to get away. You know like even this season like I watch our games but it's hard for me to like I love NBA basketball. I probably watch more hoops than most people in the world.
>> But e this year bro is hard cuz it's like >> man I can't even hoop. Like this just pissed me off. like I watch a team play well and I'm like, man, if I was playing, we'd dog them. You know what I mean? Uh, so it it's been hard. But, you know, I I'll get back in high competitive basketball. But, yeah, I can't wait to get back out there, bro.
>> Who's the best guard that you've played against in your career?
>> H, that's tough, bro. There's so many.
There's so many. Like, I I know it's going to sound cra I feel like the point guard position, we like in the best place maybe it's ever been. like we we might be the deepest the position's ever been. So you can go down the line. It's hard for me not to say Steph. Okay.
>> Because I really believe he's the best point guard of our generation. He like you and like when you scout him, you like you other dudes like if we playing like Luca or Shay, I look at them, I'd be like, >> "Damn, y'all got to guard him tonight.
Good luck. I'll be in the gap. Help you." Right? You know what I mean? But Steph is like he off the ball the whole time. So like if if he get if if the whoever guard him gets screened crazy you got to switch and then it's like damn now I got to chase this through you know two three screens it's like it's a long night. So it's hard not to say Steph we obviously lost to Shay in the finals and he's probably going to go back to back MVP so he's probably the other one but yeah man you can go down the line our position is like I think it's as deep as it's ever been.
>> Right. So you say Steph, you say Shay, you say Luca.
>> Do you think you're the best point guard in the East Coast? Oh, for sure.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, for sure. Come on, dog.
>> Yo, bro. I'm just saying.
>> What else we gonna say? Come on, bro.
Bro, I'm just saying because listen, man. Listen. You got to The Knicks win today by 20. You know what time it is.
Jaylen Brunson. There's Jaylen Brunson.
Jaylen Brunson. J all year round. Jay, Shout out to Jaylen Brunson.
Arguably one of the best in the in the whole NBA right now.
New York don't want to hear that anybody's bad than Jay.
>> For sure. They sit. They sit here and say that Jaylen Brunson is better than Shay Gilders. Um, so you're better than Jaylen Brunson.
>> That's what I got to get to come out already. Say that, right? I just think like it's impossible. You can relate.
It's impossible to be to like achieve the most if you don't believe that you're the best. Like there's no way.
And like even I get on the court, it can it don't matter who it is, bro. Like I even we we played the Bucks the past two playoffs, right? To me, Giannis is there's an argument every year he's the best player in the world, right? But like I when I play these games against Milwaukee in the playoffs, I'm like I'm the best player on the floor. I just have to view it that way. And it could be almost a delusional confidence, but that's what allows me to do what I do.
You know what I mean? So, I just feel that way about everybody. Like, like I said, I respect everybody. I think everybody's great, but like of course I step on the floor. I believe I'm the best player on the floor every night.
>> As you should. As you should.
>> Yeah. Speaking of your peers, I mean, you were voted the most overrated player in the NBA by your peers, which is crazy to begin with that they would even have something like that. Did that motivate you to go on the run that you did? Like, what did you think about that?
>> For sure. For sure. I think um for me, like I wasn't a super highly recruited kid or anything. I always have had people talking about me my whole life. Like, I'm used to it, you know?
And I had a I had a tough year for most of the year last year. Like, I struggled early. Uh battled with some injury stuff. So, um, you know, so when this came out, it was it was pretty funny and it came out the right time, too, cuz I'm the type of dude like I see something like that, it's the battery, you know what I mean? It's the battery I need.
So, came out right before the playoffs.
That's what I feel like helped really.
And it wasn't even just me. It was like our team felt like it wasn't just disrespecting me, it was disrespecting our team as a group cuz it was like, damn, y'all calling him overrated and he our leader said we must be weak. You know what I mean? So, I feel like everybody as a group like uh it helped, you know, push our team a lot. Okay.
>> Where do you think um next season Indiana is at? Are you do you think your team is in a rebuilding phase being that you lost a couple key pieces or do you think that you'll be right back where you were at before your injury?
>> Yeah, for sure. I mean, I'm looking at it. I'm ready to I think we going to be one of the best teams in the east compete for a championship to be honest.
Uh I know it might be crazy cuz you know we one of the worst teams in this in the league this year. Uh >> I think Yeah, you might be a little crazy, man.
That might be a little crazy, but I think, you know, we getting um we getting a longer offseason. Guys get to, you know, take care of their bodies, do what they need to do. We're going to get a top pick. You know, hopefully if we get the the pick in the lottery, and I'm coming back, and I, you know, I don't mean to say that in a in a uh an arrogant way at all, but uh you know, I know who I am, and people know who I am, so we'll be ready.
>> That's what's up, man. Let's talk a little basketball. What you got for me already?
>> Well, congratulations on your bag.
>> You got an extension recently. Have you blown it on anything crazy or you being responsible? Um, no. I think I'm I think I'm being pretty responsible, honestly.
Uh, like my first like when I signed my deal, uh, one of my I got I bought a Rolls, a Rolls, a Cullinin, and I'm not even a car guy. You know, when you get money, you're just doing right?
>> I got a Cullin in. And then, man, I got tired of seeing that lease payment come across my my bank statement. So, I I got rid of it like last like like a month ago. I said, man, I'm tired of this.
But, for the most part, I don't think I've done anything crazy. Just try to live correctly. But I don't think I've done anything crazy.
>> Okay, good. Good. Well, congratulations again.
>> Appreciate it. Appreciate it.
>> So, speaking of the Knicks, the Knicks beat the Hawks 113 to 102. Jaylen Brunson had 28 points and Carl Anthony Towns had 25. Was this game important for the Knicks to set the tone to start the playoffs?
>> I don't know how much you watch. You said you ain't been watching this Yo, see, y'all don't know what I have to deal with going dealing with Nick fans.
Yeah, Ken, what I told you? Yeah.
when I told you yo it's the first game calm down sin sin calm the down I'm tell stop calling me s Jaylen brother had 19 in the first quarter that yo relax yo cuz you're going to jinx them the honestly look make a long story short let me answer the question they should have won this game it's good to set the tone at home um they have homec court advantage but anything less than making it to the championship is a disappointing season for the Knicks. I'm just going to say that. I think that winning the games, like I said, is important. But you think about this, they fire their coach, they fire Tibs, and they bring in Mike Brown.
Essentially, you bring in Mike Brown to win you five games. You're a game away from the Eastern Conference championship actually against uh Tyrese and the boys. You you lose that game and then you four games away from winning. They get rid of Tibs cuz the players don't like him. so on and so forth. So, New York, you're expected to go to the championship. Why are you We said this at the beginning of the season. Why are you expected to go to the championship? Tyrese Hallebertton is not playing. J Jason Tatum is out. These are And we don't know. Paul, we don't know what the Paul George plays when he wants to. He's on steroids this year. He's podcasting. Joel Embiid is not consistent. It's so You are supposed to go to the championship this year.
Don't call me game one of the first round of the playoffs. Congratulations, but I think y'all should have won this game. And to be honest, don't this should not go past six. To be honest, this should be a five game series, but don't let it get to seven games. It should not go seven. So, please don't call me talking about Yeah, you see what we did. You did what you were supposed to do. Speaking of that, Tyrese, how do you feel? Who do you think in the East should have won starting at the beginning of the season was your favorites to go to the chip this year in the East being that you aren't playing and there was other injuries?
>> Yeah, I probably would have said coming into the year honestly I probably I probably would have said New York, right? I probably that's what I thought really would be probably the one seed in the East. Um but Detroit had, you know, a crazy crazy run all year. I I saw they lost today. I didn't get to watch the game, but I saw they lost today, too.
Um, but yeah, I probably would have thought New York, but then seeing what Boston's doing and obviously Jason coming back, you know, they'd probably be my pick to come out of the East. Um, you know, looking at it, but I think in the playoffs it's so interesting like your job if you're if you're the road team, your job is just win one. Like just win one. So like you lose the like if you lose the first game, it's kind of like >> they they like you said, they supposed to do that. you go back, watch film, be like, "Okay, when when I'm not in it, but like when you're the road team, your job is just to get one." So, I feel like for Atlanta, you know, you just got to take the film, look at it, whatever, be ready to go game two. But if you're New York, you you get two at the crib. You just thinking, "All right, if we go there, we only need one." Then we come back to the crib, finish it in five. So, uh, I'm curious to see how that series plays out, but I'm, uh, I would probably pick New York to win that series. Yeah.
>> But, see, the whole thing about it is just we we we haven't won it so long.
I'm not saying we cuz, I'm not. The New York hasn't won in so long that we just get excited over too many things. They go to the Eastern Conference Championship, right? They name streets after. It's Jaylen Brunson Avenue. It's called Anthony Town Square. It's uh what's the other Mitchell Robinson Court.
>> OG place.
>> Yeah, OG place. Like yo, it's the Eastern Con. They didn't get to the championship and they naming streets after So when they get hyped like this, it pisses me off because at least, okay, you okay, you don't go to the championship. At least get you don't win the championship. at least get to the championship if you're going to start naming streets after they light up the Empire State Building. Orange and blue should you know what I'm saying?
Yo, it's ridiculous, Pete. And so, congratulations, Nick fans. But like, you did what you supposed to do.
Same I said. Same I said, man.
So, congratulations on the win, but you did what you had to do. Great way to put it, Ree. Let's move on to the next question. Do you think the Knicks are are a team, we see it in the NFL all the time where, you know, November, December football is different when it comes to the playoffs. Is it just a different brand of of of basketball even? Are the Knicks a team where when it comes to the playoff, they turn up and they're different than a regular season team or does the playoffs come and they kind of falter a little bit >> for me?
>> Yes.
>> They're faltering for 53 years.
Who's faltering? Yes. They always falter.
Look, man. Yes. Yes. If they listen, they went to All right, bust it, right?
I'm older. I'm older than anybody. So, I seen all this. Michael Jordan won three championships and then he quit for two years and then he came back and won three championships. During that two years, um 9495 was 94 95, right? They won they won 91 92. Yeah. 94 95. People were so happy that he was gone because they was like, "Yo, it's opportunity for somebody else to win." The Knicks go to the championship.
They play against Houston.
That was your chance. You let Hakee Elijah on bust you in ass and kill y'all man. That was your chance. Yo, what's up? Yo, what's up? Then you go to the championship the year it's a lockout and then you let the Spurs beat y'all.
Listen.
Yes. Yes. They always fought. Now, you can speak from better experience because he actually played. I'm telling you from what I seen, if you never won a championship in 53 years, what do you want people to do? You've been to two championships in 53 years. I I'm I'm not with it.
>> So, the Knicks are the Bills, basically.
Patrick Mahome clears out. It's time for Josh Allen and the Bills to do to do the thing. They go to four Super Bowls in a row. Can't get it done. So basically the Knicks are are >> Knicks ain't never go to no four championships in a row. Ain't never done that, man. What do you think since you've been playing up the Knicks?
>> I can only go off what's like what I what's happened recently.
>> Yeah, I'm talking about since you've been playing.
>> Right. Right. Right. Right. So I I mean I feel like last year where they were as a team, right? They they beat Boston.
Obviously Jason got hurt in was that game four? He got hurt in New York. Uh but what they were doing before was pretty like it was crazy. Like they were winning the series. Uh, I was low-key salty. They were the team to beat Boston. I was like, damn, if anybody beat Boston, I want it to be to be, uh, us. But, uh, I thought last year they they had a good run. They were playing really well. They just, I mean, we were just we played better. But, I think that they, uh, I mean, I thought they were they rose to the occasion. They they played well. Like, I didn't expect that series with Boston. Honestly, I'm not even going to lie, and this is going to be they're going to say I'm hating, but I probably would have going into that series. I was like, Boston going to win in, you know, five or six, you know. I think everybody thought that.
>> Yeah, everybody everybody thought that, right? And and then when when New York stole game one, did they steal game one and two?
>> I don't remember. But they was leading the series even when Jason T >> when Jason got hurt, I think they was they was up 2-1, right? Yeah. So they they went they won both in Boston, right? Like that's again, like I said, you're thinking just get one, but if you get two, it's like damn, that puts the pressure completely on the other team.
So like to look at that series and them leave with two, like man, they they were playing so well. Uh, I think they just I mean we were playing better at the time, but uh No, I don't want to say they they fault. They just they get I thought they rose to the occasion, just not all the way.
>> See, see that that's what I'm talking about. That right there.
>> What?
>> That right there. Mediocracy. You see what I'm saying? They rose to the occasion. What occasion did they rise to, you mean they rose to They They rose to make it to the Eastern Conference Championship. That's what you said. They >> they beat Boston. So So that was what they that's their championship.
>> No, no. I mean >> So what they would occasion that they rise to?
>> Yeah, you I mean what you want me to say?
>> I'm trying trying to be nice.
>> Yeah. What you want me to say?
>> I want you to explain roster.
>> No, but Boston just came off winning the chair. Right.
>> Right. They probably favorite.
>> No, they was favorite. You're absolutely right. And it was a big deal to beat Boston. But if you beat Boston and then they don't beat the Pacers, what occasion is it really? Cuz you're okay.
I'll give you an example, right?
You you know Stefan Marberry?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. So we played against each other in high school. They the number one team in high school. We beat them in the semi-finals.
>> Celebrated the whole Lost the championship cuz we that was our championship beating these They was like 60 something and0 for like years, two, three years, >> but we didn't win. So did we rise to the occasion or was so was was Lincoln which was named school our championship? No, stop settling for mediocracy. That's what we don't do here and that's what I'm not going to allow. We're not going to say you rose to the occasion. You're not going to say you beat the Celtics, which I agree with Reese. Nobody thought you going to win. Nobody. It's outside of New York Knicks fans. They definitely didn't think that. But you can't name streets after and avenues and corners and courtyards and everything else and then don't win the don't even make it to the championship. I'm not going to say that they're the Buffalo Bills cuz to be honest with you, I put the Buffalo Bills ahead of the Knicks because they went to four championship Super Bowls. We can't.
Yeah, let's Yeah.
>> Okay. Yeah.
>> Good luck. Good luck, New York. I want to come back home one of these days possibly. You know, they call Yo, you know, called me to perform at the Garden for um the first game of the playoffs this season.
They had a lot of money, too. It was decent. I said, "I'm not no opening act nigga." Like, yo, call me if y'all make it to the championship. I'm not going and I would love to come back and do this for y'all New York, but I'm not coming back unless it's the championship. You know what happened last year.
Shout out to my Buster Rhys.
Buster Rhys called me up talking about, "Yo, we getting the song together now.
They we could perform it at the Garden when the Knicks go to the chip." I said, "Huh?" He said, "Yeah, we doing the song. we going to go in the studio. So we performed the first game of the championship. I'm like, let me know when they go to the championship. I'm not stopping my what I'm doing. Going to the studio, go lay a verse down, all that. And I and just for this phone call now, they're not going to make it. This is the that New Yorkers do. They jump ahead of the process and then they think that they're going somewhere and then they jinx their own self. Buster, you know exactly what I'm talking about. He knows 100% what I'm talking about.
Mediocracy, Ree, we not going to do it here. And I know you got to be politically correct, but I'm I'mma I'mma be a translator for you. What you really mean? Y'all y'all didn't do anything. Y'all beat Boston. And congratulations. I'm wishing y'all well this year, but my team is the Spurs. We won last night. Go ahead. My bad.
>> Yeah. Well, hopefully the Knicks can get it together. Moving on. The Cavs beat the Raptors 126 to 113. The Cavs were 50% from the three, but the Raptors were 47% from the three. Ken, what do you think about James Harden's first game as a Cavaliier? First playoff game as a Cavaliier. It >> was pretty good. He had 22 points, 33 minutes. Um, look, last year, right, this is these are great questions for Reese, too. Look, last year, right, it's a great thing. This is because Cavaliers, right, last year they won two million games. They came in first place.
They like, "Oh, the Cavs this, the Cavs that, Cavs this." And then they get to the playoffs and they fold, right? You know, I think Donovan Mitchell's is exceptional talent. You got Mobly in the middle. I know Garland was hurt last year which kind of hindered them in and uh and um Spider, which is Mitchell. He was hindered a little bit as well. But so you got this good team and then you got James Harden who has a reputation of not showing up late in the playoffs. You know, round one, uh he always get past the first round, second round, etc. What is this combination going to do? I'm not sure because you got James Harden who uh outside of OKC hasn't been to a championship. He has a bad reputation of losing game six, seven, then going to the strip club right after he loses.
It's documented with Lil Baby and these Shout out to Lil B. That's my But you know, we see this get nine points who's a scoring title leader. Check it. Seems like mentally checked out. And then later that night, that in the club. It's documented, right? Wrong.
I would love to see what happens. I think to me this is probably probably I'm not going to say the best, but the most talented back court right now um in the playoffs on the East Coast at least.
We got to see if they're going to produce in the wins. I think they should beat the Raptors, but I'm not going to put much stock into it because of the reputation James Harden has and because of the Cavs reputation with Donovan Mitchell not necessarily um being 100% when it's time to be 100%. What you think about that, Ree?
>> I like I like their team. I'm I'm excited to see what they do in the playoffs. Like I think um like we beat them in the second round last year. I think that they should win the series against Toronto, right? And that's the what's that? Is that the 3-6 matchup?
>> Yeah.
>> 36.
>> No, no, no. They're >> four five. Four five.
>> And then they'll play the winner of Orlando Detroit.
>> You know, I I ain't going to lie, I can see Cleveland going all the way to the conference finals at least. You know what I mean? I can see that happening.
Uh I think Harden and Donovan pose something that's interesting cuz last year with Darius, you know, injured, uh we really like it was all Donovan for them. Like he really controlled everything for them. I mean, I swear every game he finished every game with like 40 or like he was un like unbelievable. So, I think having James to kind of uh calm everything down when need be, make plays when uh Donovan is out the game or even when he's in the game, you know, be able to play through something else, I think is going to be good. I've uh I've liked watching them since he's got traded there and uh I I could see them go I actually have them going to Easter conference finals, so uh I think it's going to happen. Yeah.
>> Okay. The Raptors have a pretty young core. Do you think sometimes these moments get too big for that these younger teams?
>> Well, I don't even know if it's I wouldn't even say that. I wouldn't even say that at all. I think what Cleveland has like Toronto is all wings, you know what I mean? Scotty Barnes, BI, uh RJ Barrett, uh it's like they're very very wing heavy uh versus Cleveland having two real bigs uh to go against wings is like it's a tough night. And then on top of if you take those wings and be all right, we got to figure out if you Scotty got to guard Mobly, you put Yaka Purle on on uh Jared Allen, like you really got to figure out who's going to guard Donovan and and James. That's those are that's tough matchups for everybody. So, but again, it's one game.
It's one game. Like they're just figuring out, especially when you're a young group, you're just thinking, let's just try to get one and then we can go back to the crib. Toronto winning in Toronto is is uh is not easy because Toronto's a good good little spot. So So I I'm curious how uh the rest of that series plays out.
>> Yeah. Speaking of young teams, the Spurs beat the Portland Trailblazers 111 to 98. Wimby finished with 35 points. Cam, what did you think about this game?
>> No, it's crazy, right? So, I was on the FaceTime with Damen Lillard the other day because Trisha, you know, Trish, who was filming in who's another one of our analysts, she um she's from Portland and um Benvitz, who's a boxer, he has a relationship with um Damen Lillard and uh moral of the story, he was Dave was on the show and he's on FaceTime with Dame and uh they were saying how Trish was saying how Portland's not going to be a playin team next here. And I didn't know about Denny. I'm not going to lie.
I just find out about Denny about two weeks ago. That nigga's good.
>> He's nice.
>> That nigga's nice.
>> I didn't know. You know, when you in Washington, who the knows about anybody on Washington? We We don't know what's going on in Washington. You know what I'm saying? We I don't I only seen Trey Young on the Did he get suited up this year?
>> Anthony Davis is checked out, Say, "Yo, going to send me over there. Just call me next year, I'm not reporting over there. is I look like going that ass though. Yo, am I lying? The Yo, that didn't report this. Yo, >> sorry. Don't do too much. My bad. Don't do much. I forgot. I forgot. I forgot who's up here.
>> Yo, but listen, it's the truth. Y'all you know, the football team, y'all should be, we'll talk about that later. You know damn well y'all basketball team, y'all could play JV.
JV, a great great JV team. might be able to beat the the Washington Wizards.
>> Well, maybe if the NBA's draft process was a little bit more fair, we can get a number one overall pick instead of this lottery situation that happens, which I think is a little bit ridiculous. Maybe we'll have an actual chance at getting some good players and rebuilding an organization. But >> don't look at me like I'm fixing the lottery next year, they said.
>> Okay, good.
>> Oh yeah, Looking at me like I'm Adam Silva. What you want me to do?
That's New York problem. You know, the last time we got a number one pick camp 85 Patrick. Yo, I don't run the lottery, man. I don't run it. I think it's up, too. To totally agree with you. I really do. But we done rebuilt three, four times talking about the Spurs. We done rebuilt a Spurs fan, dog.
>> Probably about 94. Raj, you know who Raj Strickland is?
>> Yeah.
>> So, Ro Strickland is my man.
>> Word. Okay.
>> So, when I played for organization called the Gaos, he was older than me.
He used to come back and, you know, watch us practice and So, when he went to the Spurs, I became a Spurs fan.
And when he left, I stayed. I ain't no brand new Spurs fan I'm Sean Elliot. Just making sure. Shout out to Sean Elliot. Avery Johnson, you Uh, Lloyd Daniels. I'm They try to catch me out here like I'm like I'm on the bandwagon. I've been around, man. But, um, yeah, I think the draft process is messed up, too. Um, you know, even with Dallas getting the number one pick last year, this was looking that looked corrupt.
>> Need the Pacers to get the number one pick this year, man.
>> Yeah, look. It's a It's a heavy draft this year. It's a really really good draft this year. So, >> um, but yeah, we don't know what's going on when it comes to the Wizards. But back to what I was saying, I was on FaceTime.
That's why he know about Denny. That's what I was talking about cuz he's on the Wizards. Um, but I was on the FaceTime with Damian. Shout out to Dame, man. Um, and Tris was saying, "Oh, they not going to be a playing team next year." So when Dame got on the phone, he said, "Yo, we're we're not going to be a playing team, Cam. You bugging." And I'm like, "Dame, let's calm down a little bit now." He said, "You bugging. You think we going to be a playing team?" I said, "Dame, listen, you you know you my nigga." Because Dame Dame's my Like that's my man. I said, "But I remember Dame, I hate to do this to you.
I remember one of your reached when we hit you with the Dave, you reached on him and he threw a be in the back and hit you sideways with the D. I don't know if you remember that. D going to make this face. Yeah, I remember. It's all good. Oh, do you see that? Did you see it?
>> What are you talking about?
>> Wimby came down the court.
>> Oh, I did see this. I did see that.
>> When he came down the court, shook a Dame reached. He threw it behind the back on Dame and threw it sideways because he said basically I was saying all that because Dame said that the Portland Spurs series should be a good series. Talking about the one that's going on there. I said Dame you're not even playing. I'm going to give them a game possibly. I said two. I'll be disgusted if it goes six. But um this is the games. Look, San Antonio in all realness and everything I said was real.
Should win the series in five, six games. Wimby's talking about how he should be MVP. We know he's going to get defensive player of the year. Um, I like his attitude and Spurs to me coming into the season, I'm saying they're a season or two away from making it, but it seems like even though they have a young core that they want it now, I'm still saying OKC should be the favorite. I even like Denver because of the experience. But if we're looking at the way San Antonio's playing, coming in second in the Western Conference, actually coming in second overall, if they're going to win and they think they can win now, now's the time to do it. Let's get Portland out of there and keep it moving. But I do think Portland has a star on their hands with Denny. I didn't know he was that good. I asked, let me ask you this cuz I didn't know before last week and I actually picked Sigon. Who do you like better, Denny or Sigon?
>> Probably Denny.
>> Okay.
>> I like Denny, bro. Denny the same draft class as me. Okay.
>> You know, it's interesting when I when he first got drafted to Washington. Uh they still had Brad >> and it was and Russ and Russ was there >> and you know he he like struggled like at first early but you could tell he was getting a lot better as time was going on. And then you know I think when he got traded that kind of allowed him to spread his wings and really start to hoop. But I probably pick I probably pick Denny between those two.
>> You know I didn't know about Denny. So she said yo you bugging. He's better than Sigon. And when I watched the last three games, I'm like, Trish, I'm giving you your credit on this. I didn't know.
And I'm liking the way Denny looks like he wants he's ready for the moment. And seems like Denny has more in his bag.
Um, Sugon's a real solid player. But Denny's out there on the wing and is reaching. He's teaching. I I really like Denny. But as far as the series concerned, the Spurs did what they supposed to do. Homecourt advantage, number two seed. Um outside of Denny, nobody really played good for um for Portland. Uh they all the starters struggled. We seen Scoot have a decent third quarter, but then in the fourth quarter um the Spurs came back and end up winning the game by what 20 points. I think they was up by 10 at halftime.
Portland cut the one and then Spurs won a run and made it look easy in the fourth quarter. So I expect this series to go maybe five, six. I wouldn't be very happy if it went six.
>> All right, the Nuggets beat the Timberwolves 116 to 105. Jokic had a triple double and Murray had a game high 30 points. Cam, now that the Nuggets are fully healthy, do you think they're a team that's kind of being slept on right now as a threat?
>> Yeah, man. The Joker's my I like I don't I don't know Joker like I know Dame, but to me, the Joker is the best player in the NBA for a long time. Um, what I think that was missing for Denver after they won, you know, I was looking at Denver being one of these possible dynasties after they won their first championship. But I think what's missing for Denver is they coaches soft.
You got rid of Mike Brown. You should have kept that Even I don't care if Joker getting along with him or not.
What's going on that core? I don't be getting when be winning, right?
And I'm just asking. be winning.
You could you could contest to this. You get along. I don't know if you get along with your coach cuz your coach is sensational, too. He's an NBA champion.
It's the superstar and it's the head coach, right? And they're bumping heads. If you're winning, why everybody just can't get along and come to work and go home? Yo, shouldn't got rid of Bruce Brown in the beginning. That's first and foremost. should have paid that cuz he's a key part of that championship that he go missing. We don't know where the he at for >> he was in Indie. He was in Indie.
>> Oh, see we ain't even know.
>> He's Indie. He was in Toronto first, right?
>> We know Indie and then we traded him for Seakum.
>> Yeah, it's a Toron. Yeah, I knew the ended up in Canada. Shout my name in Canada. Not like that. But yeah, he just got missing. But he's part of he was a key part of a championship team.
Um you got the best out of Michael Porter Jr. the time, you know, go. I think that they could win, but I don't know how good and experienced the coach is at winning. I think Mike Brown was excellent. I just think that he rubbed players the wrong way, but I thought if it it equaled out to winning, it was good. But when you got the joke on your team, you always got a chance. I think Jamal Murray is excellent, too. But I don't like Jamal Murray when he plays against um SGA. I don't like none of them from Canada when they play against SGA. Not like that cuz but it looked like SG be like I know y'all I grew up with y'all I've been cutting y'all ass since I was 13. Come on. Stop playing with me cuz Jamal Murray is nice. But when he play against SGA he be looking average.
Look I I'm just saying when it come down to SGA this is what it's going to boil down to. Who's going to stop this man from getting 30? He's only since Michael Jordan averaging 30 points four seasons straight on 50% shooting. You break Will Chamberlain's record, 126 games, 20 points straight. I don't understand why Maybe they can't pronounce his name right. Why he not the face in the NBA or what the problem is?
I don't get it. Who's the face of the NBA? Who we going to have for the NBA?
The is in your face. He's an NBA champion, NBA Finals MVP. What? Like Reese just said, he's probably going to be a two-time league MVP. I don't get it. But as far as Denver's concerned, I think Denver is very slept on as far as coming into the playoffs because it's not a big storyline. But when you got the joke on your team, if Jamar Murray steps up to the occasion, um Aaron Gorton isn't hurt, then you got a good team. And I I think that I I think they have a chance. Even when they played their last two games, I forget the second last game and last game against the Spurs, he was busting Wim ass.
Talking about the Joker, he looked good against Wimby. So I like Denver a lot.
We'll see. What would you think, Reese?
>> Yeah, I think uh I mean the West to me is, you know, the I don't think it's anybody's like OKC is probably the favorite cuz they just repeated or they just came off a chip, but the other two teams are obviously San Antonio and Denver. Like I think that that's very obvious. I think this series between Denver and Minnesota is interesting cuz watching Ant and obviously me and Ant are pretty close. I know him pretty well. Like I'm I'm like his knee like he didn't look like he was necessarily moving 100% and everybody know he not 100% right now. So, that's made this series uh I don't want to say a little less fun for me. Uh but I hope that you know if if he uh maybe hopefully after game one that was just one game, but you could tell that he's probably he's not 100% right now. So, he's giving everything he got, but it's going to be tough for him. But I think the West comes down to between Denver, San Antonio, and OKC because I think any of those three teams can beat each other really, right? And honestly, health is the most important part. Usually, it's the health healthiest team in the end, right? I'm not just saying that cuz I'm the I'm a who got hurt. But I think that that's like very real. So I mean obviously uh the thing about Denver is a lot of those guys have been hurt this year. Jokic missed some missed some time. Aaron Gordon missed some time.
Like they've had guys who have been hurt. San Antonio hasn't really Wimby was hurt a little bit right and then came back got right. Uh Shay's been hurt. Jaylen Williams been out for a lot of the year. Um so I mean you know it's just all a matter of when these teams do play each other you know who who's going to be the healthier team. That's really how I look at it because I I really feel like between those three teams, they could beat anybody on in in any series to be honest.
>> Right.
>> Speaking of injuries, the Lakers beat the Rockets 107 to 98 and KD wasn't playing. He was out with a knee injury.
If the Rockets don't get him back, can they beat the Lakers?
>> I don't know.
No, no, no, Rabia. No, they can't beat the Lakers without Kevin Durant. No, they might not be able to beat the Lakers with Kevin Durant. So, no. And then, you know, you sit there and watch LeBron last game watching this 97 year old man go out there and and just look, man, it's hard. Look, I'm Michael Jordan for my best play ever. But year after year after year, I'm starting not to understand the argument. The that LeBron is doing at his age is just amazing, right? Every year I And I just get mad talking about this cuz you try to get the keys to Anthony Davis.
They like, "Nope, my toenail hurt. I can't play." No, just I understand the injury. I can't. No, my fingernail is off today. I can't play. But Anthony Davis injuries be wild. Can't give him the keys to the joint. Try to give him the keys to the joint. He don't want the keys. I just seen some the other day talking about he don't know if his championship in the bubble is real. Did you see that Pete? You seen that?
You seen that, Ty?
>> Yeah, I seen it. I seen it. I know you can't chime in cuz these your friends and but yo, listen. What do you mean it ain't real, bro? Come take first of all, shout out to Rich Paul. Shout out to Braun. And I know they can't admit to this. Think about the they got to do to get you out New Orleans. Yo, don't play no more fourth quarters. The stop playing in the fourth quarter and they like, "Yo, what you mean you're not playing fourth quarters?" I don't play fourth quarters. it. Trade him to the Lakers. Get to the Lakers. Co happens.
You get a championship. Now you don't know if your championship is real. I can't help if you think it's real.
LeBron said that was the realest championship to him because it was no outside noise. You just focus on basketball, etc., etc. And I get where Anthony Davis is coming from. He's saying, "I want to go on the road and win. I want to see what it's like, etc." But to me, I understand crowd participation means a lot and traveling means a lot. But this boils down to skill. We in the gym, Ain't no noise, no nothing. Is you better than me or you not? It's It's nobody here. What are we going to do? Um, so I get where Anthony Davis is coming from. LeBron had that can't give him the keys to the car now. Okay, cool. You get Luca. You got Austin Reeds here. Okay, cool, I got some I got some nice kids on. I got some I got Luca who's arguably one of the best point guards says Tyrese says myself as well in the NBA leads the league in scoring etc. catches some freak accident where his hamstrings messed up. The next week Austin Reeds goes down. You know they're probably younger than LeBron with combined they ages. If you if you combine both these ages they still what LeBron do?
it. Let me step back to back. Let me take it back six years. Coming out 28 points, 11 rebounds, etc. Got to come back again, play again, and then play again, get another 24 points. Finish with the third se in the Western Conference. Come out again. KD doesn't play. Pussing on puts puts on an exceptional show. Um, and beat and beat Houston. Listen, man. I I LeBron get a lot of criticism from certain people, but stop it, man. What else do you want you want him to do? He's out there literally with his sperm on the floor. Pause.
Crazy.
>> Yo, it's your fam.
>> That's crazy.
>> Yo, right. It is. It is. The sperm is on the court. Pause. That offspring. He passes in the ball to his son on the court. He made the that's playing in the playoffs. This Yo, bro. You got your mom still, your wife, your daughter, and your son on the court playing with you.
Nigga's amazing, my I think the nigga's amazing. So ain't legit. Right or wrong.
>> No. Right.
>> Right. Listen, man.
>> I think I think Bronnie and you know Bronnie gets a lot of old nepotism. sat there. I think he I think he's better than what doing what Yiannis got going on up there in Milwaukee with 90 92 brothers. Yo, how many brothers Jiannis got? Yo, how many brothers? Yo, I don't know if you know Raie, it's like 17 brothers on one team right now.
>> Yes, >> I know. Then every time I look up, it's a new entertain youngest, bro. He's on the show, too.
That's my But I didn't know it's these many antos on the team. So, I think Bronnie is doing uh is doing way better than them. And then when you think about him coming at the 55th pick or 54th pick, everybody who got drafted after him, I did the research on that.
They averaged two points. So, I think this was the right pick. Broy's averaging only three points, but if you go to the 55th, 56 57th pick, I did the homework. They averaging 2.1 points. So it was a great pick and you going to sell tickets and sell jerseys and get a story line all that.
>> Answer your question. Houston can't win without Kevin D. We don't even need to ask cuz if he say something different I know it's rigged. I don't know what he already know. He better not say nothing different. Let's move on to the next game.
>> Yeah. Sounds like we're packing Houston up. So okay.
>> If if KB I'll see if KD come back though. He he warmed up before that game now. That's not He should be back game.
He's Yeah, he's warming up before game one. Um why he didn't play soreness, he says. But I don't think KD's going out like that either. Cuz you got to realize KD, he don't want to hear that from neither because they going to hear like, you know, that's the story line coming in. Who's who's this series more important for LeBron James or Kevin Durant? So KD will be back.
>> Okay. So OKC beat the Suns 119 to 84.
OKC is a heavy favorite and it feels like this one versus eight matchup has an obvious ending. Do you like this as a sevename series or do you wish this was a shorter series because we're just prolonging the inevitable?
>> Listen, when you realize right I didn't think what happened to Devin Booker man.
What? What happened man? You know, I was watching Deon Booker and because Deon Booker about be they talking about this with Kobe and all this like yo, he gonna be like Kobe and this that and third and then KD get there, Bradley Beal get there and I understand you got to dumb your name down when you have superstars and try and play within the system so you can try and win a championship. But them gone. You let the Denny dance on y'all the other day. That's when I really had mad respect for Denny. I was like, "Oh, he dancing on Devon Book and these Dylan Brooks and all this shit." I'm like, "Yo, y'all let Portland beat y'all niggas." And then of course they won the next game and against Golden State. But what happened, man? But Devin Booker, you was going to be one of them man. I don't What happened? It's that Kardashian bro.
>> Might be.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, if you look at the associations, it's not a great track record.
>> Yeah. The Jenners and all that. What you think?
>> Yeah. Yeah. What you think >> about what the series?
>> The series.
>> What I think about the series?
>> Yeah. Or or just your your opinion on Devin Booker in the series honestly. Not not relationship wise, just as a player because to me he was like maybe three years ago he's about to be to me ascending. And not saying he doesn't play well now, but it's like it kind of declined when I watch him. My opinion.
>> I got to go. I mean, I gotta go watch the game and see how they're defend what how they're defending.
>> No, not even not even just Devin Booker the last couple years since KD Bradley Bill been there and left. Do you think he's still playing at the level he was playing at when he's scoring 70 and all this other >> Well, I think like adding when you add KD, add Brad Beal, like the role has to change. You know what I mean? And like any team KD's on, he's number one option for like offensively like he's Kevin Durant, you know? Uh, so I really I ain't really watched Phoenix is here to really speak on on how he's been playing or how they've been playing. Uh, but I bet it's different having to go back into that role, you know, of kind of being, you know, the main offensive option and stuff like that. Um, but no, I mean it's I think I mean I I can't really speak on it to be honest. I ain't really watched them enough to really know what's going on over there. Your your question though about seven or five. That's interesting. People are talking about that like cuz back in the day it used to be five games, right?
>> Yeah. Like first round is five games.
That's interesting. I don't know. I mean, I get it.
>> I get it. But at the same time, like >> there's more more games gives more opportunity for something crazy to happen. You know what I mean? But how many 8-1 upsets has there been since they went to seven games? Probably not.
>> I don't know. I would have to do the homework.
>> There's probably not a lot in general.
You know what I mean? So, >> I get it. I get the sentiment, but at the same time, if you make the 18 game, 1 eight series, five games, you got to make the four five games, which that series is always >> a whole first round.
>> Yeah, that series is always closer, you know. So, I don't know if that's the case. I say just keep it seven, you know. It is what it is.
>> Yeah. Whole is they not no money up. More games is more money.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> So, they they definitely not going back to that. Um, like even today I've even watched the games, you know, today and I'm sitting there like kind of to your point like I got to do this cuz I got to come to work and know what the I'm talking about.
>> But it's like I don't even want to watch the first game. I don't really want to watch it till maybe the second third game >> cuz then we'll see if it's 1-1 at two or like he said pressure with two people losing at uh on the two people two a team winning on the road. Um, but I didn't even put a lot of stock into these games, but I have to watch them cuz it's part of the job. But I don't think get real till about game two or three to be totally honest with you.
>> Magic beat the Pistons 112 to 101. A lot of people weren't sold on the Pistons this year as a one seed. Are those people validated by this first game?
>> You start off today with validated by one game. I think that's so that's so fugazy. That's so lame cuz it's like they're a young group, you know? They pro this is I don't remember who did they lose to last day. They lost to New York. Yeah.
>> So, this is their first time having a playoff series at home. You know what I mean? For majority of that team. It's a new It's a whole new beast of a new pressure like new situation. Never been in it before. I ain't watched the game, so it's hard for me to speak on that 100%. But like you go into that game, it's it's different, you know? It's different than you've ever had to play.
Like I think my first playoff uh game was on the road in Milwaukee. We got blitzed and it was like I don't even I was like man this is crazy. Like we won game two. But then this last year playing first game against Milwaukee at home it was a whole new experience cuz I was like like the the pressure was on us to win versus it being on them, you know, with the roles reversed. So pressure is on Detroit to take care of home court and they didn't do that. So now I'm curious what game two is going to look like cuz if you're Orlando, it's like why not get greedy? You know what I mean? Think if you can win two, like I said, you just got to go get one at the crib and figure it out. So um no, I think it's just new pressures. I'm sure they'll be fine. And they've dealt with obviously Cade got hurt or was out with the uh the blood clot. He's just coming back getting in rhythm and stuff. So uh you know, it's part of it. It's a young group, but I think they'll be fine. You know, I think they it's still still a lot of time left. They still could very very easily take take care of the series. So, uh, curious to see how game two plays out.
>> It's another nigga's New York call me back. Oh, you was talking about K Cunningham should be a finalist for MVP. Look, the got 39. I don't know what else you want.
>> 39 today.
>> He had 39.
>> Oh, never mind on him to get back in rhythm. He in rhythm. He in rhythm.
Okay. 39. Damn. Okay.
>> Yeah, he had 39 today. They lost by 11 points, but he had 39 today. Um, and you know, New York said me, "I told you that number one seed don't mean nothing. See, you all I'm not doing nothing but coming to work, Yo, I don't know what y'all want me to do, bro. What do you want me to do? Act like I don't see what's going on. Act like he's not a finalist for MVP. Act like he's not. Yo, what the Yo, now it's K Cunningham, this K Cunningham you know. Yo, I don't know what y'all want from me, bro. Don't talk about it, have 59. I'm just exaggerating.
59. So what? Don't say nothing. Yo, yo, is wild, my >> Only our culture. They never >> Yo. Yeah, man. Yo, never satisfied, man.
>> But um >> but listen, um look, >> I had Detroit this year because we talk speaking of the Knicks, they average they beat New York three times by average of 25 points this year. And so New York fans don't like it. They don't like they don't like when people come into the garden and do that to them >> And K Cunningham was one of the people who you know it's not like it used to be. It used to be a big deal when you come into the garden cuz it's considered the mecca and you bust their ass you know whether it's Kobe, whether it's LeBron James, whether it's Michael Jordan and Kunningham came in and did some outside of you putting the choke sign up on in the guard.
And then I remember, you know, it's the um in season tournament and um and Trey Young was at half court rolling the dice on them You know, New York fans taking substance that. But that's the you got to do when you go to the guard. That matters.
>> And when K Cunningham come in there, drop 42 on you and point at Spike Lee like this >> it means something. So now they mad at K Cunningham. The whole New York is mad at K Cunningham. So I have to hear this today. Yeah, I told you them they wasn't going to win. I said it's one game. Same thing he just had. I said, "Yo, you're gonna jinx it again. It's one game, but one thing for sure is this, right? Jamal Mosley's job is on the line." And we're talking about the coach for Orlando. And they're talking about if he didn't win the playoff game, he'd be fired the next day. The playin game, pardon me. M um they lost the first one, won the second one. Now they're playing uh one eight seed and now you you get the first game against the number one seed. His job looking safe. I think if he wins the series, don't know if he will. He might be safe till next year. Um and I don't want to see the man lose his job. I think he did a decent job, but I don't know what's going on with him and Venera over there.
Um, seems like they're not on the same page, but they look pretty good the last two games. We'll see what happens. But when you're a number one seed like Detroit, you're expected to win, but it seems like Detroit had problems with Orlando this season anyway. So, we'll see what happens.
>> Okay, >> cool.
>> Well, that's all the time that we have for today.
>> Hold on, man. Thank you. Yo, good looking for coming through, man. We appreciate front of the show. Come back whenever you want, man. Appreciate you.
>> Um, >> wishing wishing you a lot of health and get back on the floor and I can't wait to see you play again. and we'll see. Go to that garden, man. I'm telling you, when you get back to that garden, put on the show, it matters. It matters, bro.
But thank you for stopping by, Risha. I appreciate it, brother.
