[00:00:01]Hello everyone. My name is Samson Tsegaye Megra. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My academical foundation was built at Dera Tulu Preparatory High School, which led me to Bahir Dar University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a very great distinction, cumulative GPA of 3.85.

[00:00:22]Because of my dedication to science and advanced materials, I have been accepted at Uppsala University in Sweden for Master's program in Material Science.

[00:00:33]And I am honored that already received the King Carl Gustaf Scholarship, which only cover my tuition fee. But fully realized this dream and to cover my remaining costs, I am seeking the support of Buna Scholarship.

[00:00:48]I plan to pursue my MSc in Material Science, specifically two-dimensional materials that can be improved the performance of batteries and supercapacitors.

[00:01:00]I have chosen this path because I wanted to put my full efforts into serving my country in green energy technology development.

[00:01:09]I believe in that mastering energy storage technology is a key for our national developments. My goal is to realize that my education serve as a tool for our industrial and energy independence.
