Ancient Maps Reveal Mysterious 'Dog People’ and Black Indians in Brazil

[00:00:00]One thing I'll say is when I look at it a lot of these old maps, they're being pretty consistent. Now this is a map from Brazil in the Library of Congress around 1519. And I showed y'all another one from 1519 that I'll reshow you here in a moment, but let's look at this one.

[00:00:30]First thing I want you to notice is there's monkey animals, right? Birds, and there's people.

[00:00:38]That's going to become important later when I explain how I found this over in Europe with a dog face.

[00:00:47]But coming back to Brazil, this is Brazil. Let's take a look at some of these people.

[00:01:03]That is a Brazilian. A Brazilian Indian.

[00:01:23]Uh a lot of the features very well preserved in in drawing in such a old time. Here's another fellow.

[00:01:33]Feathers, bow and arrows, all that.

[00:01:38]And they also have people over here picking things up with straight hair but a little curl to it. Let's get closer.

[00:01:46]That's how they drew it. As if Same thing here if you pour water on my head.

[00:01:50]Look I need a re-twist real bad so I have this extra growth [music] right here, right? If I was to put water on my little extra growth here, it's going to be You know what? I should just go ahead and show you. Hold [music] on.

[00:02:13]And if you continue to do what you do, I'm going to end up with a similar situation, right? Even just a little bit of possible oil on my face is keeping it in the pattern of a straight pattern.

[00:02:27]And if I do that, it can go back into a coil. Now, Africans can't really do that.

[00:02:33]You see? It's like my hair can morph into any kind of thing I want. I just got to add the right combination of water and uh maybe a little something to hold it if I want to hold it for a long amount of time. Or I can leave it like how it is and let it lock up and I need a re-twist. But these are the Brazilians.

[00:02:51]Okay? Now, these people will try to show you other people >> [music] >> to try to make this up. But let's look at even another map that I showed y'all before.

[00:03:01]Coming from the same place, the same time frame. [music] It's a different map maker or whatever, likely uh cuz it didn't come from the same link, the one I just showed you.

[00:03:14]There's the full map. There's the Brazil area. Let's get in closer and look at how these people are drawn.

[00:03:22]These are the inhabitants. He has the bow and arrow. You can't tell me that's an African that done came over here and all of a sudden is acting like an Indian with bows and arrows.

[00:03:31]And coming in closer, you can see the [music] hair pattern that they drew over there. It's not all just falling down.

[00:03:39]It's coiling around. And you can almost see the nose and you know, certain things that kind of broken off there. I wonder if that's on purpose. But I mean, you know, I get it. Things degrade.

[00:03:50]But this is how they made the people.

[00:03:54]Same thing with his hair, >> [music] >> draped over with a curl pattern to it.

[00:03:59]If you don't think they couldn't make a straight line, you can look at this and see that they knew how to make things go kind of straight. That's some armlets, but they could have just easily went woop woop woop woop, right? No, they said woah like that, right? It's a curl pattern.

[00:04:16]Now moving on to a slightly different map, just to get back onto that one thing that I showed you that's consistent about this thing right here.

[00:04:27]Uh and I you know, the only two beings I really seen was this guy right here.

[00:04:33]A griffin thing right here, but it looks like a statue as like griffin. And then this thing perched [music] right here.

[00:04:41]And I tried to make out what this guy was. I wasn't I'm still not for sure.

[00:04:44]Let me get in closer for you.

[00:04:46]That's him right there.

[00:04:48]You know, at first glance looks melanated. Beard looks a little more like a curly beard than anything. The hair I can't really tell because it's under the hat. Could be curly hair up under that hat, >> [music] >> you know, like a fro up under that hat being poked [music] out. I'm not 100% sure.

[00:05:08]Uh but that's the one being they had.

[00:05:11]And then they had this.

[00:05:16]The face of a dog.

[00:05:20]On a person's back.

[00:05:22]>> [music] >> Now y'all know I just showed something like this on another old map. That's why I said these maps are kind of being consistent. Then the Brazilians look like the Brazilians.

[00:05:34]And these these dog people are also on some of these old ass maps.

[00:05:47]And when I did the little translation on this, people saw that it was the Caucus Mountains. [music] Caucasia or whatever. And then there was Hyrcania. It says, "There are the Caucus Mountains and Hyrcania." Like Caninia, Hyrcania.

[00:06:08]So, this map, which was done I I'm not sure. I got to go back and check the date. That's the date [music] ace whatever, but I But it was done Oh, I'm sorry. 1450.

[00:06:20]So, this was [music] done in 1450 and there was a dog-head person walking around. I can't remember when this one done, but I know when this one was done, but I know it was in the 1500s, [music] early 1500s, probably around like 1520, 1530, 1520 to 1530 cuz I was I found this before I found the other map that I showed you and I know I was going to in a chronological order looking at maps on the Library of Congress.

[00:06:47]So, I mean, you know, hey, make of it what you will.
