I don't I don't know. is now facing a mass calls to be removed from the bench after he apologizes to Cole Allen, the person who tried to, you know, unlaw President Trump, which is definitely, you know, insane.

[00:01:30]Check it out. Allan back in court today and the judge says he's not being treated well. Chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel is in Washington with this story tonight. Good evening, Mike.

[00:01:40]>> Rick, good evening. A federal judge apologized to the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Trump today for the way he's been treated by jail officials since his arrest. Magistrate Judge Zia Farakqui grilled a Washington DC jail official over Cole Allen being held on suicide watch in a padded lighted cell with no ability to make phone calls, read books, without access to religious materials or recreation time. Farqu handled some of the January 6 cases and said about Allen, quote, "He's being treated differently than anyone I've ever observed." In addition to attempted assassination, Allen also faces two firearms related charges. He faces up to life in prison. If >> bro, somebody that just ran up I don't I don't care if it listen even if it say it wasn't the president. Say it was just a regular dinner. If you go and you run up in somewhere with all these weapons, even if it was just one weapon and you just shooting and you going like you about to what? What? Like what are we talking about? [00:03:12]The judge today noted Allen has no criminal history, stressing that he is innocent until proven guilty and therefore should be treated fairly. The evidence released by the government so far has been pretty damning, including this video of Allen running through a security checkpoint before the correspondents dinner shooting.

[00:03:31]Investigators say this video shows Allen casing the hotel a day before the April 25th attack, walking hallways and checking out the hotel gym. While in isolation, Allan has been going through a psychiatric evaluation to see if he is suicidal. A Justice Department prosecutor said Allan told FBI agents he didn't expect to survive.

[00:04:49]>> Said Allan told FBI agents expect to survive the assassination attempt. And in an email, Allan said he wanted to extend his appreciation to many people since he will not likely be able to talk to them again. The judge told Allen he would get him the Bible that he's been requesting. He acknowledged it is a high-profile case, but claims Allen should not be in solitary confinement.

[00:05:12]The judge is demanding an update from the Department of Corrections by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow if Allen will be moved to a more comfortable cell, perhaps with a window. Cole Allen was arrested, charged, and placed in temporary suicide watch in a padded cell. Pretty fair for a guy charged with trying to kill the sitting president.

[00:06:16]But his judge, Zia Farooqi, complained, saying that some Jan Six defendants were treated better. In fact, it was so inhumane to Cole. The judge said, "At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him.

[00:06:31]We're obligated to make sure he's taken care of. Mr. Allen, I'm very troubled by what you've been subjected to. I'm sorry. Whatever you've been through, I apologize." So, the judge apologized not once, not twice, but three times. three times.

[00:06:45]>> And not to a victim, not to the public, not even to the concept of law and order, which by the way has been on life support longer than CNN. Nope. He apologized to the guy with the shotgun and the knives. But this is where we are. A judge saying, "Hey, sorry this whole justice system thing is happening to you. My bad."

[00:07:06]>> Here, I thought judges are supposed to be neutral. That's the whole gig. You wear the robe, you keep your opinions to yourself, and you don't turn the courtroom into a support group for Assassins Anonymous. Allen's lawyers also said officials watching Allen in prison contributed to excessive restrictions on his liberty. Excessive restrictions on liberty. The guy's in jail.

[00:07:38]But but this is the trend where the system has shifted from accountability to acceptance and even encouragement of violence. This is our criminal justice system now. Lefty prosecutors decline cases. Judges minimize consequences. And if you're a victim, good luck. Maybe we'll get to you if you haven't bled to death or limped to a red state. And the media is just as bad. at the LA Times romanticizing the DC shooter, calling his road to violence a journey from young athlete to accused gunman during which he organized Bible discussions as well as the fencing team and the Nerf Club. Wow, sounds like the perfect guy to bring home to your parents right before he blows their heads off for supporting Trump. But these judges are the worst until you hear about the Democrat lawmakers. In New York, they're pushing bills that would let murderers get early parole after they've turned 55 and served 15 years, regardless of their crimes, freeing the worst ghouls like the John Lennon assassin and Son of Sam.

[00:08:42]And it's already happening in California. So, I'm wondering why such sympathy for the devil? Why the love for assassins, thugs, and murderers? It's not like the left is losing power. They won elections in Seattle and New York, and they did so without violence. And when you look at the so-called assassins, they aren't desperate have nots. The latest douchebag was from a good family. The same for the guy who wanted to kill Judge Kavanaaugh. And of course, there's Luigi and the leftists who started the palides fires. These are not people living in squalor. These are people who decided their mission is to take out political opponents. And it's a role that is accepted, even admired by a large faction of the left. You can thank the narrative created by the media and Democrats in which Trump is seen as an existential threat and the only way to stop it is by removing him or anyone in his circle and by any means necessary.
