[00:00:01]Hello everybody and welcome to Cleaning Simulator Ultimate Mess. This is a game by Alice Games and we are going to be cleaning a demo apartment so that we can uh test the game out. So, let's jump in and I can show you around.

[00:00:17]Yeah. So, this is our apartment and we've been told to clean this. Uh so, we got a bedroom in here with some windows.

[00:00:26]We've got ourselves a washing machine, sink, lots and lots of rubbish. So, I think I'm going to start off um by I'm going to grab this washing basket here. So, in this game, everything is grabbable. Um all the sort of containers. You can grab the bin, you can grab the washing basket, that sort of thing. So, I'm going to start off by finding as much washing as I can and tripping over everything here.

[00:00:57]I'm going to go to every room and see if there's any washing in there. And we're going to put the washing machine on first, I think. And then we'll start doing some other bits and pieces.

[00:01:05]There's some clothes in here. How many clothes does it say? Collect, wash, dry, iron, and hang the laundry. 12. Uh, I think we don't quite have 12.

[00:01:17]Am I missing some somewhere?

[00:01:21]Some in here. This looks disgusting.

[00:01:31]Okay, that seems all right. So, let's put them in there. 10 11. So, there's one more piece of clothing. Oh, I see it. I see it. 12 pieces of clothing.

[00:01:46]Uh, can I close that? There we are. Yep, it's ready. Start. Start. Okay, so the washing machine is going. So, we'll let that do its thing. In the meantime, I'm going to just do a bit of picking up.

[00:02:00]Gosh, that's loud, isn't it?

[00:02:04]You're so loud. You make the whole apartment sound loud. I'm going to maybe go in here. Hide. Hide. Hide. Oh, that's where we'll have to hang the washing later, I guess.

[00:02:18]Oh, I don't like that sound at all. Turn it down a bit. Okay, it's it's it's done. Phew. All right, so I can uh collect the washing.

[00:02:28]I got some money for that, I think. Or it cost me money. I can't tell which.

[00:02:31]And we got to put it on this area here.

[00:02:35]That's going to take a little bit of time to dry. So, obviously this is the thing you want to do first cuz it all takes time.

[00:02:44]Okay. So, I'll just um pop this down here, I guess. And then I'm going to go and grab the bin and I'm going to start Oh, actually, I'm going to put that plant back up here. I'm going to grab the bin and start uh getting some of this trash into it. So, you don't have You can pick them up and bring them to the bin or you can just take the bin around with you. I find bringing the bin around with me is probably easier.

[00:03:07]way to do things because there are 120 things to pick up in here. So, and then um I'm just going to take them out to the balcony cuz this bin here is like the main rubbish bin.

[00:03:32]So, that's what we're going to want to area that I want these trash bags to be when we Okay, I think that's the whole balcony cleaned and my washing is dry. Wonderful.

[00:03:56]So then I can iron it in a minute. But I I'm going to get the rest of the apartment a little bit more a little bit more nice first.

[00:04:12]So eventually I'll put the bin down and I'll go and put all those blue bags into the main bin.

[00:04:18]We're on 71 pieces of trash now.

[00:04:24]So satisfying job doing like games like this. I don't know why, but it just is.

[00:04:29]Uh so I want to get the remaining 40 pieces up.

[00:04:34]Then I don't have to worry about uh cleaning trash anymore.

[00:04:44]That's everywhere. Goodness.

[00:04:50]Really? There was like two pieces left to do and h it filled up.

[00:04:55]Although actually tech Oh, right. I can.

[00:04:59]Wow, that was good.

[00:05:03]So, how many Oh, 20 left to go. Okay, so Oh, yeah, there's some here.

[00:05:10]Got dishes. We got various things that need to be uh put in the right place.

[00:05:15]Oh, I missed a carrot there. Oh, I missed all this up here on the surface.

[00:05:33]There'll be a bit of garbage somewhere that I won't have won't have seen. There doesn't look to be any garbage in here.

[00:05:42]Uh like Oh, yeah. There's two pieces here.

[00:05:50]I'll have missed like one surface somewhere or something.

[00:05:54]There'll be some some place where it's hiding.

[00:06:05]But I won't worry too much about it at the moment. I'll maybe go try and find those at the end.

[00:06:10]Um, so going to put the bin back down.

[00:06:17]And then I'm going to put these into the main bin.

[00:06:26]And I figure that the pieces of trash will show themselves over time. Um, not sure.

[00:06:33]That looks like trash there.

[00:06:39]Put these cushions down.

[00:06:46]Book there. That needs to go somewhere.

[00:07:00]So, we're already looking a lot tidier.

[00:07:10]I think with the trash, I'm just going to pop them into the bin.

[00:07:15]Um, leave the bin where it is and then pop them in.

[00:07:19]Okay, so we've got plates to wash.

[00:07:23]Oh, pick that up. Where's that? Oh, that goes over there. Okay. Uh, cool. I'm not sure why they're in the middle of the floor. That looks a bit weird, honestly, in my opinion. But okay.

[00:07:37]the mug there. Does that need washing?

[00:07:38]Maybe.

[00:07:45]Okay. I think next we're going to wash the plates.

[00:07:49]So, with the washing the plates, you can It looks like you can scrub, but you can also just leave it if you don't want to like mess up your hands by scrubbing back and forth, cuz that that can be a bit hard on your hands sometimes.

[00:08:06]Looks like we've got nine. Is it Is it nine plates? I saw. Yeah. This is two of nine.

[00:08:14]There's not too many. It does take a while to do each dish, but there's not too many to do. At least I'll just start off getting the ones in the kitchen done and then maybe I'll move on to something else.

[00:08:27]Clean all the floors with a washer.

[00:08:31]I need to like find the washer.

[00:08:35]I'm not certain.

[00:08:37]This is plate number four. I might do the the dishes in a couple of halves, though, cuz it's a bit boring, isn't it? The dishwashing.

[00:08:50]All right. So, uh I think we got these to put away now. So, let's have a look.

[00:09:00]So, there's still eight in there. Oh, okay. You got to you got to just click them really fast.

[00:09:08]Trash bag. Collect two of I'm still missing three pieces of trash.

[00:09:34]Wonderful. Water the flowers. Use the plunger. Refill the Oh, refill the coffee machine. Okay. So, there's the coffee machine. And there's some beans.

[00:10:44]I like the I like this pure like the pure variety of things you can do in this game. Actually, it's nice. I love that every toilet roll has a little little cubby hole of its own. What's this? Right click for clean.

[00:11:16]Not sure where I'm finding a wiper.

[00:11:22]Where are they meant to go? There and there. So, I'm just going to tidy up a bit. I'm going to do what I can do and then hopefully the place will be tidier and then I'll be able to see things more.

[00:11:34]Oh, you got a little ukulele.

[00:11:39]Um, I know where the ukulele is meant to go.

[00:11:48]Looking around everywhere for like a shadow somewhere that to show me its placement.

[00:12:00]Uh, usually it'd be like on a wall or like propped up against a wall. I would be expecting.

[00:12:07]I'm going to throw it on the bed. Don't let me forget later on. Ukulele needs to go somewhere.

[00:12:14]Yeah, I'm not seeing any. Oh, look at that bedroom ceiling. That's lovely.

[00:12:20]Shame about the rest of the place, really.

[00:12:26]Okay, so that's their chair in the right place.

[00:12:34]So much stuff that I need to clean and I don't have tools. So where are my tools?

[00:12:55]be like a mop somewhere or a sponge somewhere.

[00:13:00]The shower maybe in the sink. Can I open any cupboards or anything?

[00:13:08]Normally in these games you're given these things to start with, like fridge, no sponge by the sink or anything.

[00:13:24]It's being used and cannot be picked up.

[00:13:32]Like, am I being really dumb and I just completely missed the mop or something?

[00:13:35]Let's just check that I can't open the front door. No, I can't.

[00:13:41]Make the most sense for things to be either in the kitchen or the bathroom, right? Cleaning things.

[00:13:51]We have a Oh, tab. We have a shop, a mop, a sponge, all sorts of stuff, a robo cleaner.

[00:14:00]If you have 10,000 spray, detergent, and soap, upgrades to all of my stuff. Ah, okay. Good, good, good, good, good.

[00:14:12]Right. So, I can now get out like a sponge and start sponging down the walls and things.

[00:14:31]So, I would say that once we've done this, the hallway will be completely clean.

[00:14:39]My sponge is dirty and I need to wash it in the bucket. Okay, sponge washed. I imagine that uh there'll be only a certain amount of bucketing we can do before we then need to change the bucket water. So, I've already worked out that that can be tipped over in the shower.

[00:14:58]Don't know what I don't know about this.

[00:15:04]Are these not stains? Are these just Can I buy paint or something?

[00:15:09]Vacuum power wash.

[00:15:16]Worth a try.

[00:15:20]All right, let's try the mop.

[00:15:26]I don't know where a power washer might be needed. It seems like I need to revarnish the the floors and redo some of the walls and stuff as well.

[00:15:42]My mop is dirty. I need to wash it in the bucket.

[00:15:46]That bucket's getting dirtier and dirtier, isn't it?

[00:15:52]Yeah. Clean that floor.

[00:15:56]I want to make it nice though. I want to sponge. I think that might be everything I can sponge. No, it's not though.

[00:16:03]There's like really obvious stains places job preview highlight mode.

[00:16:17]That's almost as if it's saying that there's something still to there's something on the fridge there.

[00:16:28]There's bits to do with the sponge in the kitchen. See?

[00:16:35]Yeah. Not everything that looks like a stain in this is a stain. So, I'm glad that there is a highlight mode.

[00:16:55]I really do feel like I would like to maybe try and upgrade the sponge. I don't have enough to do it though. So, I could get myself some spray which would clean the stains 40% faster.

[00:17:08]Or soap.

[00:17:12]I got Yeah, I could put some soap in the bucket. Actually, that might be a nice thing to do. I doubt I'm going to have enough money to do much else.

[00:17:27]Okay, so I want my hand back.

[00:17:31]This needs to be. So that's why that had a tip on it there.

[00:17:42]So if I put the soap into it, bucket is now buffed with soap. Nice. So then I can clean my mop with it and it'll last longer.

[00:18:01]Oh, that's sponge. Is it? Okay.

[00:18:05]I think the bathroom is very nearly clean now. Just got to do this a wiper.

[00:18:15]Oh, you got all the tools in this. Wow.

[00:18:19]Yeah. Shiny mirror. Shame about the wall above it. I really would like to get some wallpaper and proper house flip this thing, but apparently that's not something I'm allowed to do.

[00:18:36]I don't always want the highlight mode on. It's useful for some of the stains.

[00:18:44]Oh, my mop is I was trying to clean with a dirty mop. That's not going to help.

[00:18:50]I'm happy enough to run back and forth to the bucket rather than trying to carry the bucket around. It's the apartment's small enough, but I imagine if it wasn't Oh, that'll be a wiper, won't it? I bet you, cuz it's a mirror.

[00:19:13]There we are.

[00:19:15]And sponge. Oh, no. Hang on. wiper for that mirror. Ah, wiper for this mirror as well. Then change the sponge and we'll clean these walls off.

[00:19:33]Come on.

[00:19:42]Of course.

[00:19:45]I mean I mean it was It had buffed water, so it was it was a bit better.

[00:19:57]Yeah, it's done. It's good. It has a nice click mechanic for things. I still can't find where the ukulele goes. I think in here, that's the only thing left to do is to find where the ukulele is meant to go. So, I'm going to get my hand back and I'm going to see if I can find it.

[00:20:14]Ah, it was right there. Right. So 14 or 15 things tidied up. Uh I noticed as well top of there. That's always the thing with tidying up. Once you start tidying up, you see all the things that you haven't that you've missed that you've still need to be tidied up.

[00:20:34]Okay. So something about that. Oh, does that need to make is do we have like a do we do we need to vacuum that or something? Yes, we do.

[00:20:58]Thanks. Ah, and it showed up a whole load of stuff that I didn't see before trashwise.

[00:21:11]That's all the trash done. Nice. Okay, we're getting there now.

[00:21:21]Going to need to do some ironing in a minute. Trying to get everything else a bit tidier first. So, let's do some more mopping.

[00:21:28]Couple of big stains here that could do with a not being there.

[00:21:51]There we are. That's helpful. Just to just to see what the bits that I've missed are. All right. So, sponge there.

[00:22:02]Okay. What else we got in here? Clean the floors with a washer.

[00:22:15]Still some bits in the wrong place as well. You know what? I'll get my hand back out and I'm going to just um Oh, I bet. Oh, these are plants need watering, I think. So, that chair needs to go there.

[00:22:37]Hey, that whole area there needs to be vacuumed or pressure washed or something. That's probably the area that needs the Yeah, needs the pressure wash done.

[00:22:50]Let's go and dunk this in the bucket.

[00:22:54]I will have to get rid of that water pretty soon, but we're okay for now.

[00:23:04]Is that all of the mopping done? That's all the mopping done. Yes. So, we've got to clean some dishes. We've got to sort out the laundry and water the flowers.

[00:23:14]Okay. Why don't we start off with watering the flowers? And I think there's a watering can over here.

[00:23:25]It's the world's loudest watering can.

[00:23:31]Definitely could do with maybe sort of um leveling out some of the sound effects a bit.

[00:23:48]Five. I think there was one here was showing up. Yeah, there we are. Right, that's all the watering done. Didn't take too long to do that thankfully cuz that's super loud. If I had a place that was more full of um I Okay.

[00:24:09]All right. So, I think I'm going to try the power washer out here.

[00:24:16]Well, that makes a big difference, doesn't it? Wow.

[00:24:21]I'm actually impressed with the sheer amount of different tasks you can do here. Like they've really thought about it. Looked like a really small space and I was like, I don't know how much there's going to be to do here. But the Yeah, like I say, the thing that's impressing me the most, they got mold on the ceiling and everything. My goodness.

[00:24:39]The thing that's impressed me the most is, like I say, the sheer amount of different things to do.

[00:24:45]All right, so we're back to washing dishes again. We've got another five to do.

[00:24:53]And then we've just got to iron and hang the laundry.

[00:25:15]And then I think we're done.

[00:25:19]This might not be the longest demo in the world, but like I say, I'm really happy. I might put this up as a little bonusy one maybe one day, but um yeah, I'm I'm like really happy with the sheer amount of stuff that you're able to do in this. I'll do one more dish and then we'll have a look at uh doing the ironing.

[00:25:53]So, we tidied everything. We've done everything. Put everything where it needs to go. All right, let's do a bit of ironing.

[00:26:12]Click to start ironing. Wow, this is like an oldfashioned steam press kind of iron.

[00:26:28]I feel like I've just gone back to the industrial revolution or something.

[00:26:43]you done? Oh, yes. It's nice. Oh, it's got it own little rack there. So, I'll be able to maybe maybe pick them back up into the laundry basket when I'm done and hang them up.

[00:26:59]This one does seem to need you to move it whereas the plates didn't.

[00:27:05]Still got two dishes to do. Anyone else hate dishes?

[00:27:09]I think they've done a really good job of uh of simulating how tiresome dishes are to do.

[00:27:53]Yeah, moving it faster makes it happen faster, unlike the dishes. Oh, that's interesting.

[00:28:17]I'm going to alternate between dishes and ironing cuz they're both as bad as each other.

[00:28:32]Okay, you know what? Now, now I've now I've got one plate left to do. Let's just finish it. Let's just do the job.

[00:28:59]So, I've got I think two more things. I think we've done four. Yeah, this is number five.

[00:29:06]And now I'm learning I'm learning how to iron fast now.

[00:29:13]I just move the If you move it fast, you can iron super fast. So, now can I just pick these up into the basket?

[00:29:22]They should be They should be like ironed clothes now. And should I be able to then just put them on here?

[00:29:28]Yes, only ironed clothes can be hung here. That's fine. And then let's take the other half and then we can iron them. And now I know how to iron fast.

[00:29:39]That'll be a lot easier.

[00:29:44]Doesn't this look so much nicer? But like I say, the the one thing that I'm not so keen on is the fact that you can't uh that you've got walls and things that are just not uh wellmaintained.

[00:29:57]um that detracts in my opinion from the unless you do have some kind of painting or something that you can do afterwards.

[00:30:06]In my opinion, that detracts from the satisfaction of the cleaning job.

[00:30:10]I know that's kind of a bit more like realistic in real life. You know, people have things that are needed to be needing to be sorted, but still.

[00:30:23]I wonder if if at the end it might Also, who irons on like a pure wooden ironing board? What a weird looking ironing board that is.

[00:30:49]Okay, then we're going to pick them up, put them in, and then I think that should then be the end of the demo.

[00:30:54]That's taken us about half an hour to do.

[00:31:00]There we are. So, thanks for trying the demo. If you had fun, don't forget to wish list the full game on Steam. Um, yeah, I would definitely have preferred um maybe some of the other locations that they're going to put in for the main game will look a little bit more polished at the end.

[00:31:17]Because like I say, the last thing I want to do in a game where I'm cleaning and tidying is to clean and tidy it and then still see scuffs on the ceiling, sorry, scuffs on the wall and like mildew on the ceiling and then scuffs on the wood floor and things like that. It It just doesn't make it feel nice to me.

[00:31:38]So, I think it would be a lot more satisfying maybe in a location that was a little bit uh more well decorated. But what I did very much enjoy about the game was the fact that you had so many different tools. You had wipers and pressure washers and vacuum and plunger miniame and loads of things in the shop. Looks like there's a robot vacuum that can help you out and things like that eventually once you've earn enough money. Lots and lots of upgrades.
