Anyway, I did correct myself. I added correction and I did it put that comment down further. I said, "Reductionist face would be a more appropriate name." But initially, I said imbecile face, but I changed it and apologized that I wasn't as accurate.
So, now all these other remarks that people are making. So, his fan club turned up. Well, three of his fan club. He goes, "I didn't expect you to be on the same level as Bart in terms of maturity. You have proven me wrong."
He just called us all [ __ ] faggotons.

You actually had a go at our whole community. That includes me, Bart, and many other people.

So, you'll find a lot of other sort of remarks here.
Oh, how did that go into two places?
Anyway, it's the same it's the same remark. So, I will go through it and say to try and explain to these young people the difference between you know, the way these hormones work in the body works in varied ways. It's a complex um tapestry as the bald man would say. It's a complex tapestry. Um depending on because it's a complex system of complex interacting pathways interplaying on one another.
And hormones can do all sorts of things.
They're not bad or good. They're just basically signaling. Um and they're responding to inputs in the system and they're signaling appropriately.
So, you know, if you do a lot of exercise sometimes, you might have a um cortisol signal to tell the body, you know, you need to get this sort of stuff going, you know, you need a bit of extra energy, release a bit of free fatty acids, release a bit. It's not stressful. It's just telling the body to do it.
If you're in a catabolic state like somebody who's on a like a a a the goonerized diet like a you know, like the What do they call fruitarians? Like a fruitarian. A fruitarian can be in the same sort of situation initially before the because he they run out of nutrients, the hormones all tank eventually. But initially, you'll see an elevated cortisol. Why? Because it's actually telling them that the body, "We need energy to keep you alive."
And so, you know, they they need that cuz they're breaking down tissue. But in a case of an athlete who's doing exercise and just needs a bit more glucose to tell the you know, the system that you know, ramp up gluco you know, gluconeogenesis.
Do the signaling that you need through with glucagon as well.
That's not stressful. That's just giving you the extra energy you need. You know?
So, getting it releases free fatty acids.
It takes the glycerol backbone, which it also gets released, and it uses it for the production of glycogen and glucose.
For key key parts, but it's still in the peripheral tissue. It uses um fats, free fatty acids, and uh it you know, translocates the the receptor. So, the insulin receptor.
So, you know, it's people call it peripheral resistance. It's not peripheral resistance. It's just the body preventing you from getting into hypoglycemia. You're running on fat. You don't need sugar to for the peripheral tissue. You need it for the red blood cells. You need it for some of it for the brain. You still get a lot of ketones and all that.
But you do not need it for all this peripheral tissue because the fat's actually covering it.
So the body knows how to regulate these things, what's level of signaling and how much of the every of everything to basically put out there into the system for the body. It's not stupid.
You know?
And no hormones are bad. They're just doing their job. Diets can actually have poor outcomes or positive outcomes. You know? So let's stop demonizing hormones.
So then I go, so both those hormones can be associated with different physiological states, both elevated or low. And it's reductionist to think that they are bad.
What I just said. They are just signaling in the body for varied reasons.
I'm not going to go to details. Maybe in future. If anybody wants to go on check sports physiology um handbooks or other physiology books if they want to get a quicker up run, you know, up to date on some of this sort of stuff, they can.
That's their business.
I basically focus on, you know, debunking reductionist thinking. And that's why I show you the inverse relationships and focus on showing you that. I'm not here to do a whole lot of training courses in physiology.
You know, you can go There are people that do that that go into the nth degree details. The majority of my subscribers are people who who are not physiologists. Or there might be some, but you know, and sometimes this helps in making a plain English as the previous video sort of illustrated that you can learn a lot from plain English descriptive language. It demystifies a lot of things and processes. But anyway, let's get into it. Intense training person can have normal estrogen levels.
But in the case of underfed athlete or or even I should have also said even an athlete that has dropped, you know, um has still slightly elevated um levels of insulin in their system and they're they're using all those sort of uh what do they call those?
Sugary drinks and sugary um sort of medicine like a tubes, these plastic tubes. They suck some glucose out of it and stuff like that. And they may not have enough getting enough in.
And that, you know, can tank your estrogen levels. You know, that's uh these sort of things. Um But it's not a stressful it's not a stressful thing. It's just basically that you know, the body can't just make things out of nothing in that sense.
And it's just responding. It's sort of a it's sort of an indicative response to say well that this person's just in a sort of a a bonked sort of condition. You know, when you're bonking as they call it in the you really your energy levels just drop dramatically and you're having problems with with energy this is. You know? So it can actually affect these things because if you're if you're in ketosis, your estrogen would be much higher. You wouldn't have this problem. So it's sort of a it's probably what happens in a sort of a bonking experience and and sort of that low grade where you can't tap in and get enough um you know, free fat free fatty acids. Obviously somebody who's an athlete can oxidize the oxidation rate is much higher for them than the regular person.
Um But generally speaking some athletes can suffer this as well because of especially the ones that are consuming a lot of carbs in that regard.
Uh there's quite a few of them because it's sort of encouraged out there. It's just part of the the thing that they promote.
And probably he thinks that it's a good thing to have low estrogen.
You know? A lot of these reductionist you know, people think that that is normal and a good thing. So I don't know. I haven't I haven't spoken to him so I don't know.
It it's way more complex than you all think.
Now I give a final enlightenment, final point of enlightenment from Uncle Harry.
Now let's get to the heart of this. I should have done this video a long time ago. But anyway, Beta oxidation does not directly need any T3. Now there may be T3 in the system involved in other biological processes in that. But directly to get at beta oxidation to get fat in to the Krebs cycle as as a set of co-A, you do not need T3. But T3 acts as a key hormone regulator and modulator of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. So for pyruvate dehydrogenase complex to work, which is a complex of enzymes, for these things to work and to be regulated, to function so you can get pyruvate into the Krebs cycle, you know, as a set [clears throat] of co-A, you need T3.
So if you need T3 in a low fat diet and you don't need T3 in a high fat diet, well, wouldn't it be ridiculous if the body started pumping out a whole lot for no good reason?
That would be called hyperthyroidism.
The body isn't stupid. So carbs carbs need it to get into the Krebs cycle, but fat doesn't. So you need So the needs are different and that is why we have reverse T3 hormone.
Got it, clowns?
Otherwise our genes would have never come up with a mechanism to achieve hormone homeostasis in the body.
So depending on the type, fat sugar, of meta metabolism um that the body is involved in, pretty much you're going to have different hormonal requirements, clowns.
It's simple as that.
Two.
Beta oxidation requires not needs, not maybe, not, you know, an afterthought, requires high levels of estrogen and prolactin compared to glycolysis.
Estrogen directly promotes fatty acid oxidation enzymes.
Got it, clowns?
Let me just highlight that.
Is that obvious?
It's fundamental to fat oxidation.
Got it?
So if I see a person who's low carb and they got their estrogen is tanked, I'm going to go, okay, they're under eating and they're too they're too lean or too thin, you know, and they're under eating. They're they're basically behaving like the, you know, in a fasting mimicking state and they're a bit like in a state where, you know, they um like a fruitarian. And I'll say, "What are you doing? Eat some more food."
Anyway.
So while prolactin plays a key role in in a key role, see little kids?
Little infants.
Reductionist infants.
While prolactin plays a key role in enhancing fatty acid oxidation during high energy demand states, so in lower demanding, so if you're a a carnivore and you're couch potato, your prolactin levels are going to be lower.
But somebody think Shawn Baker or any other or other low carb athletes, their levels are going to be higher.
Why? Because they need to enhance fatty acid oxidation because they're doing physically a lot of work. Got it?
So when people go out there and actually have a go at people like Shawn Baker, people like other low carb that your prolactin levels are high, they're supposed to be.
It's a plays a key role in enhancing enhancing I should have put that in capitals. Anyway, enhancing fatty acid metabolism. Got it, clowns?
It That's how it is. So the hormone signaling is different between a low fat acid and any low carb diet.
And childish ignorant reductionist nonsense just makes you look stupid.
So my initial wording calling you an imbecile face was correct because you're a a reductionist.
I just decided to be a nice uncle and to be a bit less you know what you modern people call you know too mean. Well, I'll respond to you I don't mean this.

This information can be found on PubMed comprehensive sports physiology books that go into details. Obviously you have to have a non-reductionist brain to be able to get to be able to connect the dots and make sense of everything.
Um find all publications I tend to be better because in current work education everything is being dumbed down.
Unfortunately it is and more recent stuff doesn't really go into explaining all the hormonal intricacies. It's too complex for the kiddies. We can't make it too complex you know we have to dumb it down because oh that's right we're also pushing the narrative aren't we?

The hormonal requirements for those are different.

So you can't compare our community with your blood markers. Your blood markers if they look like ours I'd be concerned if you're on a low fat diet and your blood markers look like mine because they're going to say what the hell's going on in your body.
But because you don't understand this and most research that's done out there is done on sad dieters people that have got the varied degrees of random cycle activation.
That's the sort of blood marker averages that we're using out there. They're not appropriate either for people on a low fat diet or on a low carb diet. They are not appropriate and we need to stop this bloody nonsense because it's ridiculous.
You know it's absolutely ridiculous that it persists.
It's you know reductionism is confusing a lot of people out there.
Now I understand that some people are just ignorant. But if you're ignorant and we're pushing back people like me Bart are pushing back why aren't you basically then approaching us and saying why?

Now you know how the physiology works when you're fed up fat metabolism works completely different more or less than sugar metabolism.
And anybody claiming differently when it's quite clear in the physiology people like Steve Finney and Jeff Volek uh these are all keto doctors and and academics that did on did work on sports physiology. You look up Steve Steve Finney and Jeff Volek their books are quite comprehensive.
You know and you've basically got you've basically got also a lot of a lot of ridiculous.

I mean now their acolytes are even worse as Bart has discovered they're even way off the reservation on reductionist complete nonsense that they're coming up with that even contradicting the old Ray Peat himself he must be turning in his grave. His acolytes have turned on him as well. It's not only that they're reductionist and even more worse than him um in some regards it's it's amusing at one level disturbing on another other because these people are getting traction for some reason you know we say controversial things apparently and the algorithm promotes these these people and unfortunately there's a lot of people that are falling victims to this pseudo science that is being promoted by these people.
Just is what it is can't do much about it.
