Everything else on this board is second best.
>> Cadillac.
>> Some work around the house.
>> No, we work all over.
>> Full time.
>> No, we had about five jobs last month.
>> Yeah.
>> Powder actuated guns justifies itself.
>> Like gunpowder.
>> Yeah. The DX460 is fully automatic, concrete, steel to steel.
>> Yeah. It don't matter.
>> Handles recoil better than the Simpson or the P3500. You understand what I mean by recoil?
>> Oh, absolutely.
>> I wish. That's right. [laughter] >> 27 [snorts] caliber. Huh?
>> That's enough. Any more than that, you'd add to the recoil.
>> 22 drop plenty of days, man.
>> Like a pinball. Whip [laughter] your ass up. Break a bone.
>> Look how you looking. Uh well uh um uh well um >> 669 plus tax.
>> Cash Money Records for the 99.

>> Truth is, if they're still using cell phones in this day and age and if Maron Stanfield's on a cell, he'll be mine, too.
>> Cool. Lester Smooth. Oh, Lester.
>> Not as proud to be chasing those bark stails.
>> Not as fierce as we thought. For months now, there hasn't been a body we can go to him.
>> We thought >> this unit needs good hard targets at least. And we got subpoenas to go out this week as well. Asset investigations.
>> Okay.
>> On Marlo Stanfield.
>> Yeah. Come come talk to me real quick.
>> All this is from the Barksdale money trail and the B&B office downtown. The truth is those guys have money going everywhere. Political donations, consulting fees.
>> Mhm. You want to do this now? I wanted to do this a year ago.
>> And your lieutenant's going to okay this kind of paper?
>> Who's the lieutenant? Has a fearless heart.
>> Who's the lieutenant?
>> Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Right there. My pup. [laughter] >> Let me get them up out of there. I've >> been clipping them for two days.
>> Why are they in my pot? Cuz I'm doing real work.
>> Working my nerves is what you've been doing, >> man. Where the rest of the crew at?
Where the Avengers at? Four weeks before the Baltimore City primary, you hand me a stack of drug money subpoenas that hit a dozen key political figures.
>> There's an election. Who's running?
[laughter] >> Who running?
>> 25 26% of the vote cuz most of that's out of Royce's base.
>> 25% is a big number for grade.
>> Big number.
>> What does one pies on to another day of the white mayor is over in this town?
>> Excuse me, your evidence.
>> Is he about to change that? And I don't want to be lying to a room full of wrinkle ass voters cuz you wanted to talk shop all the damn morning.
>> Seniors, huh? They vote. Tom >> got to run. Sorry. Corrected court report [clears throat] and a requisition to city purchase in Fort Lock.
>> All right. Who this >> now? Caroline says it stays hot in the wire room. Oh, never seen a beach house so fine. Makes me think about retirement and I only got nine years on.

>> Thank you, sir. Just a moment, man. Seen Hoskins. Lieutenant went upstairs already. Step through, please. Madam President, >> why she didn't say nothing though?
>> President is hot as balls.
>> You die for a chance to help broad.
>> Wow.
>> You don't think that makes you a nothing?
>> It's just an expression, man.
>> Well, some stuff you need not say, though.
>> Been on this detail how long?
>> 8 months.
>> 8 months with Clarence Royce. Are you ready to take a bullet for the mayor of Baltimore?
>> Nah.
>> Tenant, sir, is the truck okay or do we want to call one? how the truck works.
>> He said he needed just 10 minutes.
>> Maybe tomorrow.
>> You saw the way that she looked at him.
Something going on. Got to be going on.
Or maybe it's just a look. Maybe it's just a a look. Never mind me. But she gave him that look though.
>> They're going to get the whole night to smack me with the crime rate.
>> I told the Sunpaper we're open to any format, which we'll be for another couple of days or so. The witch sty will say you f you. F you. F you.
>> I'm here today to ask for the chance to stand with you.
>> They ain't paying you no attention.
>> Thank you for your time.
>> They're not paying you no attention.
>> Questions.
>> Maybe you can't relate to them. Maybe you're chasing the wrong >> Yes, ma'am.
>> Is it the salad spur steak for lunch today or is they doing tacos? [laughter] >> Probably tacos. I'm going go with tacos >> because it's developments like this one.
Planned residential towers with wateride retail space and restaurants that grow Baltimore's tax space and help re >> All right. So, it looking like old Cali has an uphill climb cuz you see boy the mayor right here has cameras around him.
He's speaking in front of them uh building new uh developments or whatnot.
And Cali is at a nursing home. Not that their votes don't matter, but they often they're falling asleep and they're thinking about tacos or Salisbury steak.
>> Our city, I want to thank Ed Bowers for his commitment.
[applause] Ed, Mr. Mayor, I want to thank you for making this next stage of redevelopment for Baltimore's harbor a reality. You talk about vision and commitment, Mayor Clarence Royce.
[applause] Why they always do that? That fake uh smile and wave.
>> That pandemic ain't producing.
>> Hey, what up?
>> What you got? Nah, it's just a story about AJ from North Wolf. This corn is dead, man. You still working?
>> Yeah, cuz we was going to go under the road and catch some fresh birds.
>> I don't know. Let me see if I can bounce. Hold on.
>> Hold on. I recognize that cat. That [ __ ] that stuff is dead from somewhere. H I can't think of. Of course, he's grown now at this point, but I remember him far from from somewhere or something else. So, if y'all know uh where y'all recognize this cat from right here, y'all drop it in the comments below.
>> Um, I want to know if I could leave early cuz me and the fellas went to go down to MR for some back to school stuff. Hey, if it wasn't for social promotion, your ass is still being prek.
Mother, >> let this man go. Him and his earring.

>> All right, he looking up.
>> You hear me? Youngs don't got a scrap of work ethic nowaday man. If it wasn't for his pops, I wouldn't even bother.
>> Who's his pops?
>> Make sure you come early tomorrow cuz it ain't always gonna be this slow.
>> [ __ ] It looking dry. It looking extra dry right now. White bread.
>> Something going on with his medium. Not watching ponies. I think he can do a lot better than the 4,000.
>> I don't even want to know. [snorts] >> Chris, please man.
>> Oh lord.
>> Got bacons on both sides. Little torture action.
>> Please don't flip boss. Quick and clean.
I promise.
Earl. Earl.
Chris. Oo.
Oo. Oo. Little three-timer.
What it do? What? What it? What it do?
The reason that they probably haven't found anything as far as bodies and stuff like that, it could be because they are cleaning it up. I don't know.
My guess. Press and play. Laying them in with the foundation. Little pigeon work.
Little young Mike Tyson, >> man. [ __ ] like that don't even work in them cartoons.
>> We ain't in no cartoon.
>> Yeah. You scaring away the burl.
>> Talking both y'all.
>> Took me off the clock for this craziness.
>> Serious man. This bird could be worth like 3400.
>> Think please.
>> Yo, you know the boy Nemo who worked Marlo's pigeon coop.
>> And that's a homo.
>> White.
>> So that makes it a homo, right?
>> White could be.
>> [ __ ] Shut your mouth for a big guy.
>> Oh. Oh.
>> Uh-oh.
>> All right. About to get worked.
>> Cash money. You know that.

>> Yo, we stinking like rat [ __ ] >> Oh. Oh. Oh. He's swinging. He's swinging. A little wild swing, but he's swinging.
>> Only because I didn't want to get too close and touch the dirty mother, but it came out with AIDS or some [ __ ] like >> Come on, [laughter] >> man. Leave that cat alone.
>> He blew me up a bug bum. You want to come and see the pieces?
>> I'm good. I got to go.
>> Probably used to be his homie right there.
>> That pigeon wasn't a homer. You know, Homer's got the metal things around their leg. That way you could tell it from the other birds. You know Nemo let me clean out his coop sometimes.
>> Y know y'all waste your time on the wrong thing. Yeah, what he doing though?
He probably used to be one of the homies, but you know, he ain't Well, at least he ain't doing with the stuff that they doing right now, so that's cool.
>> We lost Mr. Parker and Miss BS. Knew she wasn't coming back the way they tore up her classroom.
>> So, we're sure two in math and four in science.
>> Yeah. Speaking about teachers and teaching, I'm I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to return to teaching this year my damn self. I'm like really on the fence. I'm not signed under contract with any school right now. I am looking at some and considering, but yeah, right now I don't know what I'm going to do as far as uh teaching. I might walk away for a little while.
>> All the way on the left.
>> Is that Press?
>> All right, I'll be right down.
>> Yeah, it looked like it might be Perez from the silhouette.
>> The cafeteria assignments. And you see that's going to leave Ernest alone for second period and he can't handle it alone. It is. Oh, press >> Roland presalooki. Everyone just calls me pres.
>> Well, they're with us. I'm principal here.
>> I won't have my certificate until next year.
>> What did you do before you decided to teach Mr. President Baloo?
>> I was a police in the city.
>> Marsha Donnelly, welcome to Edward Tilman Middle.
>> Okay. All right, press. I'm glad you're back.
>> Think he can handle the whole shift.
>> And which one's Tolman again?
>> Daniels.
>> Jimmy.
>> McN.
Jimmy, come on in.
>> They still working together.
>> I know I offered when I first came over here, and I know you answered then, but I'm still asking to get you out of a radio car.
>> No, thank you, Major.
>> McNelte, I'm short. Two men and you're too damn good to be humping calls.
>> I'm chilling. I don't want no parts of it.
>> He's in the wrong place for us. Yeah, for him.
>> Yeah, cuz remember he was going over to the what, the west side or whatnot and he was trying to just uh chill out. I don't know if he's still with old girl.
Uh I forgot her name from the dock. I don't know if he's still with her or what not, but you know, I think he was trying to, you know, uh, take it easy and walk a different path, but I know it's going to be in his blood. McNot is going to be back. Jimmy going to be back, y'all. I know he's going to.
>> Where's the love, B? Where's love?
>> I go back so far with this kid. I was chasing him through juvie. But does any of that matter? When we roll up here, I get so much as a wave, a nod, a smile, nothing.
>> A little hawk to a spit.
>> Hello.
>> See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Lex, my man. How's your day going? Not to criticize or anything, but I think you missed the spot there.
>> Recy, you look like someone just shot your dog. You all right, man? Reesei still messing up the count.
>> You hear what he said?
>> Yo, dog.
>> Yeah, his words, >> Mr. Entrament, how you doing?
>> Don't look like that. I'm still dining out on that story. Claimed Entrament when he was clocking in Bunny Cam's Amsterdam.
>> [ __ ] you not. Smart kiddo. I loved it.
Corn is bone dry. The people are done for the day.
>> Okay, so let's try this again. Have a good evening, Mr. Broers.
>> And a good evening to you, Sergeant Carver. [laughter] [snorts] >> And a very good evening to you, Officer Khichio.
>> Off with the 40 [ __ ] breath. What's all that about?
>> Bust every head. Who you going to talk to when this [ __ ] happen?
>> I guess you got a point.
>> Car city at headquarters.
>> You ran late all morning. Wait, what?
That >> be in the call room dialing for dollars.
>> Oh, >> I can't do it anymore. I hate it. I hate it more than anything. I >> You don't have the money to pay for the damn TV spots in the last two weeks.
>> Oh, is he a little tipsy? It look like he might be a little tipsy. I hide it. I hide it. I hide it.
>> We met at your sister's house. You know, the one that's married to that Republican.
>> I know you don't remember me. I don't give a flying about what you think or what your concerns are. I want you to write me out a check for $4,000. Send over a couple of furlow DPW workers to beat the check out of you.
>> All finished. You need $30,000.
>> All right. So, he's struggling with his uh numbers right now as y'all can hear.
I thought that he was going to be, you know, like really in the game, especially after the last uh after the last uh uh season on season three when he had that speech at the end. And it seemed like he was gathering the respect of the people. I wonder what happened.
>> I wonder how's Marlo like slacked off any bit.
>> Crazy.
>> Oh, he a little tipsy.
>> Was that Marlo? That wasn't Marlo. That wasn't Marlo, was it? [screaming] No, that wasn't Marlo. That was somebody else. I think I'm tripping. Who was that?
No, that wasn't Marlo. I'm tripping. I'm >> making the calls, Terry.
>> But damn, Patrice.
>> 30,000. Tommy.
>> Wow.
I know who that was. That was that other cat.
>> Lester, >> you ain't got to talk like that.
>> Lexus took all the out of that.
>> Oh, yeah. My fault. My fault. Hey, I know that wasn't uh uh Marlo. I I don't know. I was just tripping. That's that cat with the with that lazy eye that was getting into it with old cut dog at one point that uh kind of finessed him out of that money. I think that's who it was. Yeah. So don't and don't don't in the comments say that I'm not paying attention. I'm paying attention, but I'm reacting real time. So don't be like, "Oh, you're not paying attention." I'm paying attention. All right. Some of this stuff might get edited out. All right. I know that it wasn't Marlo, so don't even say it. We hear your shooter goes by Le. We were up on your victim's cell phone, too. We >> pulled numbers from that as a consolation prize.
>> Bunk. I weren't paying attention. Bunk, you're back.
>> It [snorts] was strange. We're not seeing bodies. This is the first drug hit in months. And it's Marlo's boy who falls. [ __ ] He's got everything from MLK to Fton now.
>> All right. He locked it down on him. You >> hear anything more about this murder on your wire, Lester? The bunk expects a call. The hell with Norris? You're my real partner, Lester. My life partner.
>> [laughter] >> Look at that bow-legged [ __ ] [clears throat] >> I made him walk like that. [laughter] >> Who the [ __ ] is Lex? Dantrell's cousin.
Used to be with Canel's people. He work some corn over the hilltop now.
>> He ain't more connected than that.
>> Wasn't about no business.
>> [ __ ] man.
>> All the time.
>> Yo, Fruit was into something that Lex thought was his own.
>> Say the word. We take off that whole mother corner.
>> Gone, Marlo. Just say something.
>> Just do more and take the corner, too.
And why need to be stacking bodies when they want no one trying to war with us?
Just Lex >> playing it smart right now.
>> He got the fall.
>> They ain't on no phones. They chilling in the cut playing it smart.
>> Okay. One of Patrice Fruit. One of Patrice.
>> Y Tommy, you're done. Get up, Tommy.
>> Yeah. Tommy been Tommy must been on one.
Tommy must be going through something at home. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. Come on.
>> There we go, little trooper.
>> Came out of shoe.
>> 6:30 tomorrow morning. Don't make me drag you out of bed like you did yesterday.
>> Damn, boy. What happened to you?
>> Serious bang me coming across the tracks over there by Rams, man. All them serious.
>> Only we could whip on dookie like that.
>> Oh, step it up. Even this up. Nah, even we going to hurt them twice as bad.
>> Huh? Give him a whip ass ain't going to never.
>> Okay, they got his back at least.
>> So what you saying? You scared? If we going to hurt him, we need to think on it. You something go pass beating on each other?
>> You talking guns and [ __ ] No, >> I ain't talking guns.
>> Bats [clears throat] throw pigeons at him.
>> What?
>> Randy got an idea.
>> What you got, Randy?
>> 300,000 >> that prevented budget cuts to vital city.
>> What you got?
>> Zeros mayor's latest TV buy in four weeks out. Turn that [ __ ] off.
>> [ __ ] I wouldn't vote for me. Royce, Tony Gray. [ __ ] me.
>> You're behind. He's struggling.
>> One of those neighborhoods between Oliver and Middle East.
>> [ __ ] Fallujah.
>> Command perform. No matter who the EDC's lying down with.
>> Roy, what are they complaining about today? [ __ ] hole of a city. Whining bastards. Bitching about the trash or the crime or this.
>> Someone you bitching, dog.
>> Reverend Garnett, good to see you again.
I'm here now and I know there's things to see.
>> Right this way, counsel.
>> All right.
>> The first thing I want you to take a look at.
>> First thing I want you to take a look at, about hit this cat with a science project, huh?
>> That way you know you know what water running be like, dude. Water been off in your house since last year.

>> Oh yeah. I I don't know. Maybe I'm not paying attention. He's getting ready to piss or something.
>> We keep trying to get him to come down here and clean this up.

>> OH.
>> OH, >> RANDY. DANG.
>> This way.
>> Hey yo, he went in there, >> man. Them folks deep. Okay, they ain't helping or nothing.
>> How they perceive you as an educator.
>> Some of these meetings be some of the most boring meetings that you ever want to go to. A lot of times they be talking about like teaching strate teaching strategies and things like that and you know saying to you know diversify your teaching style you know use technology use groups use stuff like that but sometimes when we're in these meetings they don't do it that way. So they do it like the old school way that they tell us not to do but then they sit there and do it uh how they're not demonstrating what they want us to do. Some of these be meetings be boring, but you do end up with some good folks that do not waste your time. They allow you to have your time to yourself. So, but some of these meetings be some of the most I'm going to doze the hell off meetings that you ever have.
>> Another hot zone in the classroom is the pencil sharpener.
>> I had a pencil sharpener in my class once. Antoine Granderson ripped it from the wall and threw it at me. I'd like to know what your lesson plan suggests when >> I tell you what, but the the pencil sharpener, especially back in the days where you go show off your outfit, where you go drop off a little note to uh your young tender or whatnot. So, yeah, the pencil sharpener is where it definitely went down for sure, whether you had your pencil sharpened or not. Sometimes you break it and then go on up there and sharpen it because you want everybody to check out your fit. Uh, check out your new shoes that you rocking. Damn pistol sharpener.
>> Baltimore Street planning on blowing up the chicken joint. [laughter] That's what I heard.

>> All right, Jimmy.
>> He's keeping a three- ring binder for the kids. He's talking about dinner.
Hey, Jimmy's uh being a family man right now. Making sure that he returns home to the family. I ain't mad at it, Jimmy. I ain't mad at it.
But I know you're coming back, Jimmy.
[sighs] >> Everybody made it back though, right?
No, my teeth had >> So you changed your clothes already?
>> He had to. Yo, but it was kind of funny when it happened though. [laughter] >> Yo, you want some before he bounced? One fabby soldier that stood tall.
>> I was down there, man. You do.
>> Damn, man.
>> Hit him with a single.
>> So you get out of hurt my ankle going around the corner, but I got away.
>> Yeah, you got away cuz he watched you and he took off running.
He wasn't trying to be your dog. He wasn't trying to be your friend.
>> You really think they're going to vote for the white guy?
>> You come correct. We listen. It's y'all that don't never vote black.
>> [ __ ] You got my vote anyway.
>> I don't have your vote, Norman. You're my deputy campaign manager and I don't have your vote.
>> Last white man I could vote for is Bobby Kennedy. And you ain't no Bobby King.
>> Bam.
>> I thought you just said >> I was speaking in general about the kindly nature of black folks >> and run with my campaign. Well, I do know who pays me. Oh, yo, who you going to vote for? Royce, >> one of them brothers.
>> He probably mean it, too. I ain't voting for you, dog.
>> Don't make me tell you again. It's nine sharp, boy.
>> And I'm smelling what has to be urine.
What you been at, boy?
>> We were playing with Dookie today.
[sighs] >> You know how it be with his clothes on.
It's good that child has friends. I suppose >> you ain't going to win disrespecting your base.
>> Hold up, Tony. Look, man. We got to talk. Right or wrong, if you're elected, then I'm going to do whatever I can to help you. And if I get in, I'm going to need your help. I mean, it's not personal, Tony.
>> You, Tony, I ain't cool no more, dog. I ain't cool.
>> So, this is me.
>> This is you. I mean, why is like chairs and stuff got be like on the ground and papers all over the floor? It don't really be like that. They at least stack their chairs and stuff up and they throw trash away.
>> What's up, man? I got all this from the Koreans today at a discount. School start. I'll be selling for three times that.
>> Tell you what, let me get them Skittles.
>> Okay. Get this hustle on. Got the snacks.
>> Four more weeks. J >> quality time with the wife and kids.

>> Hey, how about you real quick?
>> What up? You do like I said cuz up the block he ain't never coming back down.
>> Chris Snoop had to tell that kid that >> just be cool. All right.
>> Well, you shoot him a funky 20.
>> Heroes back from the wars.
>> Those poll numbers have >> 35 you 26. Gray 20.
>> We haven't moved any more than that. I need to be at 30 in order to win. I need Tony Gray to take a huge bite out of Royce's lead. Huge. Tony's moved what?
Yeah, he needs to be rounding 25% and headed for 30. And by the way, >> you're planning on working out >> district becomes 64% black.
>> Mostly, as I recall, to give your ass more white votes over there in the first >> [ __ ] was I thinking?
>> I've been ahead further than Roy is and lost.
>> I can't win this.
>> Well, not that attitude, buddy.
>> I'm your ride home, man.
Yeah, >> he's spinning out of control right now.
>> The man can read a poll.
Another hidden body.
Oh, is that uh Hamsterdam? Is that where they uh putting them bodies at? That's what it kind of looks like. It's in Hamsterdam when they putting them bodies.
Yeah, he ain't feeling good about that at all. He ain't want that on him.
>> Randy, >> are you there, man?
And that concludes The Wire season 4, episode 1, [music] Boys of the Summer.
And I'm guessing the boys of the summer, the the the young crew that [music] they were rolling with, Luki, uh Randy, um I don't know any other kids name, but I'm sure that I'm going to get to know them at this point. Right now, that was like a foundational episode. Wasn't a whole bunch of going a whole bunch of wasn't a whole bunch going on this when it refers to like action. We did have uh them collecting a few bodies. uh Lil Snoop and whoever the other guy that are out here killing them folks and they keep talking about that they don't see [music] uh many bodies but Marlo is collecting them bodies. Uh his crew is definitely collecting them bodies.
They're just doing it quietly. I think they're putting them up in the uh the hamster Amsterdam uh where they were [music] uh previously doing all of the drug dealers. They're basically vacant uh vacant uh properties and I think that's where they're probably storing all those bodies. So I [music] can see it. some point them going inside and being able to find a whole bunch of bodies there. Um, what else do we have going on right now? We do have big noty Jimmy. Jimmy is shooting straight. He's moving straight. It don't seem like he want to go out and drink with his boy Bunk. He don't want to work any case. He don't want to really be involved. So, he's shooting straight. Uh, operating completely [music] different. Talking about come on home to eat with me. Uh, so yeah. So Jimmy's shooting straight.
He ain't got a whole bunch going on. Um it seems like some of everybody is split. Perez is taking a job as a as a teacher right now. [music] And I mean I can see him eventually getting good at that and putting together some type of operation uh there because he is good with numbers. Uh he is good developing the system. He's good with technology. So, I can see him thriving uh as a teacher or if he's able to, I can see him working with the crew again at some point. [music] Or else, why is he here? All right. And then we have uh some of the regular Avengers. Uh Ka, we saw her very shortly in the beginning. [music] I wonder if she's still, you know, with dealing with her old lady or she out here uh being like Jimmy uh collecting bodies in a different type of way. And then we got Lester still working the wire. He's still got a cell phone business going on. He said all the cell phones that are out in the streets are some of his. So, this was more so a foundational episode in my opinion. [music] Um, and those episodes are always needed and I'm ready for this thing to start heating up a little bit because y'all did say that season 3 and season [music] 4 is on point. So, I definitely appreciate y'all tuning in. It's your boy Dewan and we are out. Y'all drop in the comments what y'all some of the things that I may have missed. But once again, don't drop no spoilers.
