An omega block is a weather pattern where the jet stream buckles and becomes stationary, creating alternating low pressure systems on either side that cause periodic shifts between cooler northerly winds and warmer southerly winds while maintaining dry conditions.

peace that they are able to read throughout the summer and give to their siblings as well. So, it's just it's such a fun time and I'm so glad that I was able to enjoy it yesterday. Now, as we look at our temperatures, hey, they were pretty nice. Enjoyable, right?
Little cool at times earlier on and we are in the 60s. We're kind of on the cool side of this dry air mass that we have in place and I think we're going to get a little bit more of that into the upcoming weekend. We've been talking about this omega block it's where the jet stream kind of buckles, goes up and down and it's stuck in this one position and on either side of it, you have these low pressure systems. And this is going to wiggle and move a little bit and as it does so, we'll get that cooler air, that northerly wind and then every so often, it will then push a little further to the east and we'll get the warmth back.
So, we are going to be in a little bit of that struggle into the next couple of days, but it's also going to stay dry.
What happens when it stays dry? All the pollen sticks around, too. So, grass has been high, trees, oak, birch, ash, if you are allergic to any of those, they're high now. They'll be high again as we head into tomorrow. Was that Don raising his hand?
These allergies not doing great for people. Looking at our satellite and radar, we have been dry, high pressure is in control. We're going to continue with nice conditions into the night tonight. It will be cool, comfortably cool, we'll say. 66° right now, northerly winds at 10 mph. That temperature change is 10 to 15° below at this point yesterday. So, another cool night or comfortable night, I should say, is coming our way going through the overnight. Dropping right down through the 50s, there'll be some 40s out there as well. We'll call it clear and comfortable as those numbers drop on down. Those northwesterly winds are going to be with us and then into Friday, we're just going to have more of the same with sunshine, cool start to the day in the upper 60s into the afternoon, but notice the winds.
Southwest winds 15-20 mph, gusts will be higher than that, and we're not dealing with much else. We'll have some clouds kind of come into the night. We'll then dry things out even into the upcoming weekend, but it will be a touch cooler into our Saturday into the middle 60s.
Then for the end of the weekend and into next week, it's still looking dry.
Temperatures are getting milder from there and into the 70s as well.
>> Looks nice.
