[00:00:00]What if I told you that one of my favorite places to eat, anywhere, is located in Palm Springs, and they have some of the best pastrami, beef brisket, and corned beef sandwiches anywhere?

[00:00:07]I've been going to them for at least 10 years. Here's a receipt from a Facebook post back in the day. But that's nothing, as this place has been open for over 70 years, and the who's who of Hollywood has been coming here.

[00:00:18]Bang bang foody gang, it's your boy Foody Gangsta, and me and Chris are checking out the iconic Sherman's Deli in Palm Springs, California.

[00:00:27]And they start your day off with a complimentary pickle platter.

[00:00:30]This place seems to be always packed. It was winding down from lunch, and it was somebody's birthday.

[00:00:39]>> [singing] >> It wasn't even my birthday, but I got my wish. I got the number two sandwich. You can do two or three meats. Well, I'll tell you what, it's always a treat when you get three meats. So, I got the pastrami, the corned beef, and the beef brisket.

[00:00:54]Keep in mind it normally comes with rye bread. I did sourdough.

[00:00:57]And there's another version of this sandwich you can get with actually a potato cake on each side instead of the bread. I got that Justin Bieber, please believe it, sweet hot honey mustard.

[00:01:08]And it's What's my favorite word?

[00:01:09]Phenomenal. Just like the sandwiches.

[00:01:12]And you can put this on anything.

[00:01:15]And Sherman's has such an extensive menu of different options, but in my opinion, you got to go pastrami, corned beef, or brisket. And here goes Chris going in on the sandwich with the secret sauce.

[00:01:32]Even the coleslaw was on hit, and I'm not the biggest coleslaw fan. Chris got the Philly cheesesteak, and check out how they do their fries. I really was a big fan. And the cheesesteak itself is made with that beef brisket, so you know it's going to be on point.

[00:01:56]Yeah, and I'll tell you what, it was solid, not solid. It was really, really good. Check out the quality of the meat.

[00:02:02]I'll tell you this though, very good for Palm Springs, but if you're ever in Arizona, you got to check out Eddie's Philly in Chandler.

[00:02:09]That's the best on the West Coast in my opinion, but this was really good.

[00:02:12]Speaking of really good, you know Sherman's is also a bakery, and we got this Napoleon slice, which is off the freaking charts. I got to say, what's my favorite word? Phenomenal.

[00:02:23]And I'll just tell you, it's not named after the angry war general. It's actually an Italian called mille-feuille, and it's a dessert that has layers of crispy, fluffy pastry stacked with rich vanilla pastry cream, and it's topped with like a layer of icing.

[00:02:38]I usually always get the apple pie with like the baked cookie crust, but this is going to be in the rotation now, cuz this was insane. And look at all the desserts that they do.

[00:02:49]You can never go wrong at Sherman's unless you don't go.
