A US District Court Judge has blocked the Trump administration's $1.8 billion 'Anti-Weaponization Fund' operated by the Department of Justice, which was designed to compensate individuals who suffered from 'weaponization and lawfare' through formal apologies and monetary relief; the fund was part of a settlement where the administration dropped its $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS, and while the court has temporarily halted its establishment, multiple states including California, New York, and Connecticut are implementing 100% taxes on funds related to this program as a countermeasure.

Trump Hit With The BAD News As Insane DOJ Operation Gets BlockedAdded:
Down goes the reparations for fascist fund. At least for now. It's probably going to come back. Let's be real. But US District Court Judge Leone Brinkheima uh ordered the Trump administration not to set up or to operate the $ 1.8 billion so-called anti-weaponization fund set to be operated by the Department of Justice on Friday. So that is that at least for like a little bit or whatever. And bear in mind, we're glossing over things like for instance, it's not $1.8 billion. There's literally nothing in the document that captured at that. So, let's stop pretending that that's true. It's not an anti-weaponization fund. And the lawsuit that they're deriving this not a settlement settlement from wasn't even an example of weaponization. So, none of this makes sense. Don't buy into the framing. But the Trump regime will have to wait before setting it up at least until June when they're going to be doing a hearing about a pending legal challenge uh to uh this fund. And meanwhile, uh, some states are setting up maybe like the next line of defense.
So, you've seen things like Gavin Newsome saying that California is going to impose a 100% tax on any funds, uh, that somebody drives from this. You have uh, New York is working on that with a proposed bill. Connecticut may do it as well. Wisconsin and a few others as well. So, look, there will certainly be some states that don't have that, but many are setting it up. And uh Brett, this is the first I think that we're talking about this together. But uh this can't be allowed to exist. Taxing it for for my part is not enough. People should go to jail for even attempting to set this up. It's absolute madness. And I hate that in the span of one week's time, it's become relatively normalized.
But what do you think? Yeah, it's insane that this exists. the fact that like where it came from some kind of weaponization fund to reimburse what people who lost their court cases.
You lo like if you won your court case like fine I guess but you lost it. These are people you pardoning them after the fact for what? We have video of folks yelling hang Mike Pence. They broke into the capital because they lost a vote. Donald Trump's approach is, well, they didn't lose a vote. I'm going to make up that they won the vote. Uh, he's going to make up, oh, there's other way like this. We didn't try to violate the Constitution, even though I am on record arranging for the violation of the Constitution.
And at the end, it's $1.8 million from whom? everyone like not Trump's political opponents, everybody. He's and this is very him and when people wake up to this they'll be furious is he is penalizing people for obeying the law to do what? To pay off the law breakers.
How?
Your pockets.
>> Mhm.
And this while Donald Trump, something I forgot to say in the last thing, like he's just doing exterior decorating with your tax dollars. Big alpha dog Donald Trump is laying gold leaf on horses, painting something that a pool, building a pretty French ark.
Not because he's really good at raising money or spending his own. It's your cash.
>> Yeah.
Bro, do you remember how mad Republicans were when some of the debt of student loan people was going to be canceled and they were like, "That's not fair. You can't cancel." That's not even like handing new money. It's just cancelling debt. You can't I don't get that. So, they can't get that for going to college, but you can get a hundred times more money for trying to bash a cop's skull in with a fire extinguisher, >> which is at best an elective. So yeah.
No, I don't. Seems ridiculous to me. It can't be allowed.
>> You're against the the taxes, the 100% tax on it.
>> If if they would that it's just it's just such a ancher painting of like annoyance cuz it's like, okay, we're going to if we can't stop the money, then we'll take the money and we'll do a reimbursement fund to people, I guess, from the money from other states. It's like it'll be the first time that, you know, California is bringing in taxpayer cash from elsewhere.
>> Yeah, >> maybe. But, >> no, no. I again, I'm not as like a last line of defense, I'm not against it. I'm just saying that's not good enough.
Yeah.
>> For my point.
