[00:00:02]the conclusion of this lesson, you get  to know the life cycle of a mosquito, how malaria is transmitted and also some method  used in controlling mosquitoes. We all know that the mosquito is an insect that is very dangerous  to human beings and other mammals. There are over 2,500 different species of malaria that are  found in all over the world. And each of the mosquito has its scientific name. Example, the  kulpens. The cool anopoulos and are the three species of mosquito that are found in Ghana.  The male mosquito feed on plant which is the nectar. While the female feed on plant juice  and at the same time feed on blood of human beings and other animals like goats, cattle  and many more in order to live their eggs.

Many inject infectious  microorganisms and transmit such as malaria, yellow fever, denial fever and ofas. All the female  mosquitoes go through four stages of development.

After 2 days, the egg hatches and come to the water to brea.  Mosquito pooper are also called tumblers because the salt in water when it's the adult mosquito.  The adult mosquito rest on the surface of water to dry itself or harden itself to enable it to fly.  The female mosquito lay eggs again and the cycle continues. The female anaflex mosquito. The female  mosquitoes are the only mosquito that transmits malaria. The female mosquito is the vector of the  parasite known as plasmodium that causes malaria.

[00:02:36]How malaria is transmitted? The stages of the  transmission of malaria are an infected mosquito bar. The malaria parasite enters the and within  30 minutes infects the infection take place in the red blood cells which bust affecting other cells.  During this stage the person becomes dangerously ill with fevers and becomes anemic. If another  mosquito feed on an infected the malaria parasite that mo the malarite changes and mosquitoes ready  to infect the less some method of controlling mosquitoes. The method used in controlling  mosquitoes are chemical, environmental, biological and genetic method. But today we are  focusing on the environmental and the chemical method. The chemical method. Chemical method  include the use of insecticides which kill various states of insecticides may be sprayed onto samples  of houses or shelters. One advantages of chemical method. It it ensures that mosquitoes are killed  by using chemical in. The disadvantages of the chemical method. The chemicals used may pollute  the environment. Secondly is the environmental method. The environmental method are aimed at the  breeding or resting places of mosquitoes. These plates are either destroyed or made of suitable  produce and advantages of the experimental method.

[00:04:19]Mosquitoes are controlled without polluting the  environment. The method is less expensive since money is not used on chemicals. Disadvantages  of the environmental method is that draining of stagnant water, swamps, pools and other  stuffs may require a lot of physical work unless mechanical equipment are employed for  this experiment as I'm Victoria.
