Opening statements set in Karmelo Anthony murder case

You may remember this scene from a year ago, a track meet in Frisco, where police say 17-year-old Carmelo Anthony stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalfe to death. For months, people have debated what happened that day. But now the focus has shifted to finding 12 jurors who can set aside everything they've heard and decide this case on evidence alone. Lawyers will finish jury selection by tomorrow and opening statements will begin on Thursday. Anthony has pleaded not guilty and he faces up to life in prison if convicted for Metcalfe's murder.

[00:00:36]Controversy and misinformation surrounded the stabbing have now led to protests for both Metcalfe and Anthony and those protesters have been outside the courthouse. The judge brought in extra security for the trial and banned cameras from the courtroom.
