In hobby case opening, profitability is determined by tracking numbered cards (typically 5-7 per box), identifying key inserts like rookies, career years, and low-numbered parallels, and calculating miscellaneous value at $15 per box to account for base rookies and unnumbered inserts.

RED /5!!🚨FULL CASE PROFIT CHALLENGE 🚨2022 TOPPS UK EDITION HOBBY CASE PART 3 OF 6Ajouté :
Hey, what's going on everybody? Part number three of the pullcase profit challenge. 2022 TOPS UK edition sealed hobby case. After this part, we'll be halfway through this thing. Uh this is a 12 box sealed case. We're doing two boxes per part like we normally do for hobby product. And this has been a really fun series so far. Video one, we pulled an auto and we pulled a huge numbered card that really helped us.
Video two was two autos. We're way ahead of the game on autos here. So, I don't know if we'll get one in this video.
Maybe we do if we get lucky, but we have not pulled anything less than numbered to 25. And I still expect that to happen. So, that's probably going to propel us uh when we do that. So, just a reminder to everybody to sign up for our text club. We got a lot of things coming out in the next couple of weeks. Tops Chrome Platinum anniversary is going to be a really, really big one. Hopefully, it's not super hard to get. Usually, they have hobby and retail formats of that, but it's been a while since they released that set. That might be a tough one. And then series 2, which should be readily available, is going to be May 11th. So, make sure to sign up for our text club. It is free of charge. We notify you during the tops drops. Every time a new release drops, we send you a text a half hour before the drop. And all you got to do is click the link and just wait till uh the stuff goes live and try to get it. It's your best chance to get the best possible price on every product. Just an FYI for that one. And it really helps the channel if you uh guys and gals use our links. We really appreciate when you buy using our links.
Let's get after it. The number you're going to see pop up in the top left of the screen is where we left off after part two.
And if you're new to the profit challenges or you're new to the channel, first of all, welcome. Thank you for joining us. I appreciate it. You will not see values pop up for every single card that we pull, but we will do a miscellaneous total at the end to account for all of that. We're going to get at least five numbered cards per box. Some have six. That's been kind of the trend uh to look out for. Most of the stuff that we count is the numbered cards or the huge names um on the inserts. Just an FYI for that. Let's get after it. Let's see what we can do here.
This is always a fun rip. Always a fun series.
And I had a few questions. I mentioned it in video one, but if you missed it, here's a Pete Alonzo career year. A lot of people asking, "How did I get this so cheap?" Blowout cards a while ago. I bought these like a year or two ago and two cases. Uh we did one right away and we we saved this one. They dropped this to $960 for the case and I immediately uh grabbed two of them. Um they don't really discount stuff anymore. I don't even go to their website. recently. I haven't, but that's that's where I got this. That's how I got it so cheap. It is not that cheap. Now, this is a black numbered to 125 Walker Buer.
First up on the numbered card 122 of 125.
Here comes a blue as well. It's back-to-back numbered cards here.
There's Alec Thomas, rookie, and Jean Sigura on the blue. And that is to 75. 65 of 75 on the Sigura. These last two cards, those look pretty good in terms of the quality control on them.
We got a Nolan Aronado retro insert.
Got a significant statistics coming up here. There's Joe Ryan.
Significant statistics. Fernando Tatis.
I don't ever remember pulling this one out of the first case. And we definitely haven't pulled that in this series. So, that is a new one for me right there.
Uh, by the way, we got a football video coming out today. I think it's going to be today and it's going to be the end of our full case challenge for uh our tops chrome series for football. If you're looking for more content should video should be live if we drop it today.
Bryson Scott, Jiren Duran, rookies, Hunter Green, rookie, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. retro.
This looks like a base pack here. There are a few base packs in each box. I think we've been getting about three.
There's McKenzie Gore, rookie, and George Kirby, rookie in the back.
Pretty sure it's been like three, maybe three or four per box. Actually, video one had the least amount of base packs.
This is a purple. I think these are numbered out of 50. This could be a big one if it's a good name. Gabriel Arius, rookie. It's upside down.
Nice Tatis.
Little chip up in the top here, but that is going to be 47 of 50 on the Tatis purple.
So, that's a decent name to pull. Tatis has been struggling with his power numbers. Really, really struggling. I saw a breakdown of his swing and it looks like it's something to do with his swing. Um different launch angle is what I was seeing on X when I saw the breakdown. Hillio Ramos rookie. We got a red um Ben Baller. It's going to be a 99. It is a rookie and it is Johan Duran.
That one's in great shape. 90 of 99 for the Duran rookie.
Look like another significant statistics back there. Might be upside down.
There's Royce Lewis.
Joey Vado significant statistics. Sweet spot percentage insert.
Let's get that red to five today.
There's Aaron Judge.
Juan stood retro.
Here's another black to 125. There's Sea Suzuki base rookie.
And the black is that Kyle Hendris? Yes.
Kyle Hendris. 45 of 125 black. That one's a little dinged up on the bottom there. A little nicks.
Little whiting is all. This case is way better than the first one I opened though. The first one I opened probably about 25% maybe 30% of the numbered cards were in pretty rough shape.
Another to 99 Big Ben red. This one's not upside down. It's going to be a color match. I saw a Cardinal and it's a rookie. Andre Palante out of 99 color match. That one is going to be 77 of 99.
Aside from Tatis not hitting the big names so far here in box one, but we've had our fair share of big names already.
We hit a really nice numbered Harper. Of course, the Otani in the first video was a big one. There's Steven Quan. And there we go. Aaron Judge career year 2017.
52 home runs. 1,049 OPS, 284 average, 7.9 war for Judge.
There's J-Rod. We've been getting one J-Rod and one Bobby Whit base rookie per box so far. That's held true through the first two parts. We'll see if we can keep that up. And there is a JROD Redux, Merlin Redux Retro. So, that's another nice insert.
Puh Holster Jacob Deg Grom significant statistics insert expected erra there's show on the base Spencer Strider rookie Two base packs in a row looks like coming up here. There's O'Neal Cruz, rookie Torqulson, and Yordon in the back.
That looks like a uh career year insert.
Uh, we got something flipped around in here. MJ Melendez, but that's nothing.
Byron Buckton, 2017 career year.
That's not even one of his best years, is it?
Yeah. I mean, those numbers are okay. 16 home runs. He missed 20 G. It's so crazy. His careerhigh 140 games back then. But now that when man when Bucks's healthy, he is one of the best players in the league. Well, no doubt about that. Got another retro coming up.
There's CJ Abrams, key rookie. And look at that. Show. We pulled two of these in the last video. I can't believe we have three total now. Show.
That's his uh most valuable insert in this set is that one.
Here's another base pack.
I saw this guy's out for the season. I I think I read that. I don't know what happened to him, but I thought I saw he was out for the season.
Did I call it or what? This is a red to five.
This is pro This could be the lowest numbered card we pull out of the whole case right here. So, this is going to come down to the name. The last time I pulled a red to five from this set, it was Zach Wheeler.
It's not a You can tell it's not a Big Ben because it doesn't have the stripes.
Is it a rookie? No, it is a red though.
Color match get Oh, Mike Mustakis.
The moose.
Five of five. There is our red to five.
Five of five. Mike Mustakis.
Little bit of issues on the corners, but nothing super crazy. Just a little nick up there. There is our red defy. I knew I was going to get one. It's so crazy.
If you buy a case of this, it's almost like you're guaranteed a red. It's nuts because I've the cases I watched before I opened this set all had a red. I didn't see a 101 pull, but they all had a red and the one that I opened had one as well. So, that is pretty cool to get to be able to know you're probably gonna get uh one of those. Last pack.
How many number do we get out of there?
This is going to be a base pack to finish it off. Shane Baz, rookie.
Torqulson, rookie. Again, we got one, two, three, four, five, six. Wow. Seven numbered cards in that first box. Did not hit the big names, but we got our We got a Tatis. It's a pretty good one. And we got our red. That red to five is going to be a tough comp. Just a heads up. There may not be a sale for that card, but I will do my best to try to figure out a value for it.
All right, box number two. Imagine if that was Bobby Wit, JRod, Show, Aaron Judge.
One of the one of the big ones.
Box number two.
It's too bad that uh Cal Raleigh is not in this set.
That would be he'd be a great addition to this set if he was in there.
We got career year Rafael Devers.
Comes a purple to 50.
Another purple to 50. It's going to be Alec Bow. Future stars. He was one of our better pulls. 44 of 50. He was one of our better pulls in the uh first series that we that I pulled his rookie auto from this set, which was kind of a kind of a cool one to pull. Like I said, the auto checklist is a little tough.
Although, I felt like in the last video we did pretty well with the two autos that we pulled. I won't spoil it just in case you haven't seen that one yet.
McKenzie Gore rookie card and Lubab Gabriel Arius George Kirby rookies. I'm not flipping these around just because take forever if I flipped them all. I don't know why they're like that. I don't remember the other case being like that. Maybe it was Bryson Scott, rookie.
Show again. Significant statistics.
Nice. I haven't looked this one up yet.
Uh, barrels.
Significant statistics card for Showi.
There's a Kuna. We got a blue. It's going to be to 75.
Oh, Chris Hansen on the blue to 75. This card would have been a nuke back in the day. 10 of 75 would have been a really, really big one, obviously. And now it's worth I have no idea.
Uh, actually, I'm kind of interested to look that one up to see what that's worth, if people are still buying his stuff. Jiren Duran, rookie. Jav Bayz, retro.
I bet you back in 2022 that was a $100 card being that low numbered. We got a red to 99. Big Ben, Zack Wheeler.
Nice color match there with the Phillies. 69 of 99. Nice. That's how we do it.
Nice sack wheel. I'm going to leave that spot open for our one of one.
Royce Lewis, rookie. There we go. Bobby Whit Jr., who we did not pull in the first box, unfortunately, but there he is.
And Aaron Judge, nice significant statistics insert.
Brendan Donovan, rookie. Aaron Judge, base.
Bryce Harper retro.
There's Sea Suzuki. Here's our first black of this box. I think it's the first pulled a bunch in the first box out of 125. Kenley Jansen.
73 of 125. Black.
Another red to 99.
Smokeookie. Jeremy Pñena. Rookie. This upside down. Nope. Oh, be Scooble. Yes.
Scooble. Future stars. Second year out of 99. Man, there's a little nick up there. Otherwise, it looks perfect.
Still does not matter. 19 of 99. I'm really happy with that one. Let's go.
I'm pumped. this uh I mentioned in part one I wanted to pull a scoo parallel secondyear scoo um I have some really really nice scoo stuff but most of it was pulled recently you know like I don't have a ton of his early early stuff heel Steven Quan and Joe Perez black to 125 rookie Comes a retro insert.
Spencer Torqulson, rookie. Retro.
Brandon Marsh, rookie.
And Bryce Harper, career year 2021.
35 bombs. 1044 ops.
Another retro on the back there. Sherzer and Cole.
There's J-Rod. So, we did get a J-Rod in both boxes. Take that. And Anthony Rizzo. Retro.
MJ Melendez and Freddy Freeman career year in 2020.
What in the world? Oh, he batted 341, but he only played 60 games.
Oh, the pandemic shortened 60 games.
So, he did have Yeah, he had a really nice year in that shortened season. 13 home runs and 214 at bats.
There's poo holes and show base Fernando Tatis significant statistics.
We got looks like five packs left somewhere around there. Comes a base pack. Spencer Strider, rookie scoo, Jose Miranda, rookie. CJ Abrams, rookie.
Clayton Kershaw, retro. Nice.
Shane Baz, Spencer Tolson, Jesse Winker.
We got two packs to go. Let's see if we can get one more numbered card.
One more. Ah, we are. And that's going to be numbered to 25. Let's save that to last. That's a gold. The gold in this set. Low number. Low numbered out of 25.
O'Neal Cruz rookie and Vlatty. And let's see what we finish off with of this numbered car. This could be good if it's a big name.
Is it landscape? Nope. It's upside down.
out of 25 rookie. That's a good sign.
Bryce Elder for the Braves.
12 of 25.
So, a nice low numbered hit to finish it off. So, not not a bad not a bad video at all. I mean, crushed it with the show inserts. Um, I really like the scubble.
I like the Tatis and that Mustach. I mean, anytime you pull a red to five, uh, we'll take that. It's not the biggest name, but Mustakas, I think, has a little bit of a market um for sure.
And it's kind of a cool color match as well. I just wonder if we're going to pull anything lower than that. Probably not a one of one. I don't think two red to fives is even possible, but we'll see. Uh at the end for miscellaneous, we're going to do exactly what we did for the first two parts. So, we do $15 per box, 30 at the end total, and that accounts for all the inserts and base rookies, key base rookies that I did not count. So 30 at the end. And that total you see pop up is our total through the halfway point. I have a feeling we're doing okay. I don't know if we're pacing towards green. Uh doing this in real time. Um because because we did not hit a lot. The the numbered cards are probably going to be lower values than the first two videos. But we still got a good look. We didn't pull an auto in this video. That was very predictable after pulling two in the last video. So hopefully we still got uh two or three floating around for the last half of the case.
