>> Everyone, my name is Fiona Makusa and I am Falia Busi to Alimo's first cousin.
Our mothers are sisters. The late mania was born on the 6th of August 1985.
From time she was an infant.
Her parents and her lived with us in her mangry and current in our current home in 198 in 1987.
They later moved to their first family in Coben Cresara.
When I think about our childhood, I remember Falia as a bubbly girl.
He was absolutely loved food and Norway seemed to have the latest toy.
Obviously, if she saw something maybe on a TV ad and she wanted it and somehow she always got it.
One memory that still makes me love right up until today, and I will always remember it, is whenever her dad left the house.
Whether it was for work or anywhere, she would wrap herself around his leg, screaming and crying because she wanted to go with him.
Sometimes she she had this thing by banging her head on the wall.
One time she broke the front door that she would bang her head on the door and on the floor in protest. And it wasn't just her.
Frances were joining along, too.
If both my aunts and uncle were leaving, they'll do the same thing. But it was Fia clinging on to her dad.
That always stuck to my mind.
Growing up, we were always together. We would stay at each other's house during school holidays or whenever our parents needed a babysitter.
We shared so much of our childhood together.
She loved school and she took part in many salmon cultural events. She loved singing and dancing gifts that stayed with her throughout her whole life.
During my college years, I stayed with their family during the week while Falia was an intermediate.
Every morning, she would wake up full of energy and excited for the day ahead.
The first thing she checked was whether her uniform was still perfectly ironed from the night before.
She took pride in her appearance.
hairly tied back, lotion or oil applied, and finally a careful inspection of her lunchbox to make sure Francis Oride hadn't stolen anything from the Mason lunches that we packed the night before.
Those were the years when I really saw her love for church grow.
Her passion for worship, singing and dancing and serving was all for the glory of the Lord.
As she entered college, her dedication to youth and ministry flourished.
She also loved sport. She represented Odoo College in the girls first 15 and participated in many other sports.
But ministry was always where her heart truly belonged.
She became a part of the worship team at a young age. Learned how to play the keys and faithfully served for many years.
Even after becoming first lady, she continued to play whenever she could.
After she finished school, she studied at best training while I was working at career services.
She would often come to visit me during when she finished during my lunch breaks and we would wander around the mall and have lunch.
One day she said, "I'm bored."
So I asked her, "Would you like to do some typing?"
I handed her a few CVs to format and she completed them quickly and effortlessly.
My manager noticed her work and asked what was she doing and before long she became our interim administrator.
In 2003 she became she was appointed permanently.
From then on we worked together traveled together and attended conferences in Wellington and Hamilton.
In 2009, our organization went through a restractor and I became redundant.
But I was happy that she stayed on because I knew how much she supported her parents.
But I was sad because we did everything together.
Then 10 years later in 2019, we found ourselves working together again at Minmore Hospital.
Even though we worked in different departments, we would email every day, meet for lunch when we could, and if our shifts finish at the same time, we would go home together.
I always make sure at every event where there when there was food, I always make sure I made her a plate to take back to her office. Her team would say how lucky she was.
But looking after her just came naturally.
She was my baby cousin.
I'm going to miss walking over to her department and waiting for her to finish. I'm going to miss our rides home, our conversations, and especially, her legendary road rage saga.
Here's a fun fact. Between career services and minimum war, there were days when we would we would take leave just to go and watch a movie, go for a drive, grab some food, and spend a day together until it was time to go home.
This is when we would have one onone.
That is something between me and Leo.
That was just us.
My cousin was also the queen of practical jokes.
One time she secretly connected a two-way call between her husband and her cousin Carol and sat quietly while quietly listening while they both insisted, "You called me." "No, you called me."
When her husband asked, "What number did I call?" She read out the number. We could hear him scrolling through the through his phone trying to find the number completely unaware that it was their own landline number.
We laughed until we cried.
She also loved scaring us and would always say, "You would never get me."
Well, believe me, we eventually did.
Francis plotted the whole thing. But that's another story for another day.
Falia also had an incredible sense of style.
She can make anything look elegant and classy.
And yes, she was always our driver. Even after we all learned how to drive, she was still our top notchotch Uber driver.
And I will always be grateful because being a driver is never easy.
Fia, although you are no longer with us on this side of eternity, I will forever cherish the memories we share.
I will always remember your unwavering faith, your humanity, and your devotion to God.
You lived the great life that reflected the grace of Christ and the steadfastness of true servant.
Though every season, whether joyful or difficult, you reminded faithful to your calling, trusting God through every storm and every challenge.
You serve with your whole heart, left aside the legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
your beautiful smile, your infectious love. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and my girls. You gave me spiritual guidance and life advice.
Sometimes I had to bite my tongue, but every word came from a place of love.
And those words helped shape the person I am today.
My girls might not always show their emotions, but they love you deeply and will miss you so much.
I love you, my beautiful cousin. Thank you for everything.
You have finished your work. Matthew 25:23 says, "Well done, good and faithful servants.
enter into the joy of your Lord.
In 2 Timothy verse 4 4:7 says, I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.
Fillia, that is your testimony.
You fought the good fight. You finished the race. And you've kept the faith.
and now go and receive your crown.
I love you cousin.
So please surround me.
>> God is good >> and all the time everyone my name is one of Falian's first cousins from her mom's side. My mom is to Malu, younger sister of the late Valasi Malu.
I stand here before you all to share a bit of my relationship with Falu Falia.
Before Falia was ordained and called into her role as first lady, she was our older sister.
As most of you know, a few of us grew up under auntie Valasi and dad Moi at the home in Utara.
It was here as everyone else has shared, Leah was our Uber driver.
A fond memory I have of Falia as our Uber driver is that she'll drive all the way from Otara to Mangry to pick me up every weekend.
She was funny because she'd always text and say, "Here now." And then I'd run and I'd grab my bags and I'd run outside to the fence and there was no one.
She was texting me from Massie Road and we live all the way down because she doesn't want to wait for me to grab all my stuff.
There was one day as well as our Uber driver. It was just me and Falia and we went to um a shop in Manow and we looked for a park and then she parked. Obviously, I don't know how to drive so I don't know where we parked until we walked inside the shop and they announced on the thing they said, "Can the person who parked on the, you know, the normal road where people turn, can you go move your car?" J A K. That was the number plate. and she was like, "Oh my gosh, we parked on the like it's not a parking, it's the road."
I always remember those memories with Falia as our Uber driver.
We always had to wait for Falia too until she was ready. She'll ask us, "Are you guys ready now? We're going to drop you off." 5 minutes later, she's snoring and what we'll talk to each other like, "Oh, we got to wait."
She was also our Ganga buddy.
She will drive and we have to hold the Ganga.
If there was no close parking, she will park all the way down the other side.
And guess who had to take the gang inside?
She was our dancing queen.
We would do moves that were very simple.
One, two. Falia's moves. One, two.
And we'd have to do practice every time until it was right.
She would hang out with us like she didn't have a husband.
Honest. She was always outside of the room. She had that option to stay with pastor but she always came out and made time for us.
She was always present with us.
Falia always looked out for us in our youth.
She supported our youth leader by joining in on our youth services and outings.
Always praying for us, encouraging us and setting a good example.
Everyone has testified that Falia was a quiet person.
But at home when Falia started laughing, everyone laughed.
When Falia would laugh, the whole bed would start shaking and we all could keep laughing like we can't stop.
I know that Falia Fala would want us to worship God on a day like this.
I know that she'd want everything to point back to Jesus on a day like this.
I never got to say goodbye to Falia properly. I just kept telling her I'd be there the next day.
But on King's birthday, the day before she left us, I was listening on YouTube and randomly a song that Falia had to our Sunday school last year started playing.
And looking back, it's almost as if she was saying goodbye.
Thank you, Leah, for being an awesome big sister.
Humble on spirit, grace.
It is a timely reminder for us to love fiercely.
I pray we all forgive quickly, love on each other more, and seek God's kingdom while we still have time.
Falia got to preach to our our youth many times this year. And I look back and the theme of her messages was always to be ready.
Jesus is coming soon. Be ready. Ready up. That's what she said. She taugh tell our youth ready up. Always bring your Bible to church. Ready up.
And I hope that we listen, that we remain ready and we get ready for everything.
I love you so much and we will miss you so much.
Greetings to you all. My name is Utosu.
I am one of Fia's cousins.
I'm I'm the youngest of Fiona's siblings.
First of all, all glory goes to our God.
Thank you, Jesus. She is no longer suffering from pain. Thank you, Jesus.
She has been reunited with you.
Thank you, Jesus, for the time that we got to have Fly over here with us.
And thank you Jesus. We are all gathered here to celebrate the life of Falia.
Not only she was a fala, she was also a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, loving sister and a loving cousin and especially a loving mother.
As mentioned in previous mimals, I've I've heard how humble she was, how she always had a positive positive attitude, how quiet she was, and she was always smiling, but she was also funny, too.
She loved to prank people.
One time I remember we were hanging out in Francis's room and I was near the window and she was outside with a fake fake scary mask on.
This one time she pray call our land wife and I happened to pick up the call and she was talking like an aggressive s that put pressure on me to reply back fluently knowing I wasn't good at speaking it until she laughed at the end of the call saying it was her as Fiona said before uh she's telling me how she used to use fake props and little toys to scare us.
Um, Anna was telling me how she Anna slept in her room and Anna woke up to a a fake looking body made of pillows to make it seem like she was still next to her.
I'll never forget the funny memories we've had together.
I'll never forget our talks we've had.
The big smiles you give me when when you see me visit your church when you're still playing piano.
Memories we made at our cemetery visits.
Leah, I forgot to mention this the second time we visited you at the hospital of how thankful and grateful I am for you for being like another mom to Ana and Angelia for always being there for them. Especially being the bestest friend sister and a secondhand person to Fiona.
you've got to spend more time together and I'm so grateful for that.
I'm grateful that most of my childhood was spent with you.
Thank you for always wishing me a happy birthday on my birthdays.
Thank you for always thinking about our kids and taking them out for the day.
We will definitely miss you at family gatherings and special and special family events.
and we will miss your presence here on earth.
I just quickly want to sing this one verse of a song that will always remind me of them of Leah that we sung when we joined their family night the time when uncle and auntie were um ministering.
You know the song just sing along.
Yeah, my Lord to my You to my friends say bye-bye. My name my soul.
Thank you. Just a reminder to everyone to always be kind and stay positive towards others just like Fley was because you never know what someone is going through.
Check on yourselves and have time for yourself with Jesus and remember our true purpose here on earth to serve and honor our Lord just like Fia did.
Love you always.
Um hello everyone. Um my name is Ana.
I'm one of Fia's um nieces.
Um god daughter princess.
Um Fiona is my mom and um um sorry. Yeah.
Um um me and Angel were pretty much um raised up by Falia and Francis.
F.
I'm sure I was her headache out of me and Angelina.
I have so many memories with her.
She always spoiled me an angel.
She always picked us up when we needed a ride as well.
Um, she taught me how to drive.
I hope I did well.
Probably not, cuz she never let me go to the dairy down the road by myself.
Um, uh, I always used to plant her hair.
She would always call me to go do her hair.
And I used to roll my eyes like, "Oh my gosh, how many times I have to do her?" Yeah.
But when I found out she was sick and she asked, well, Francis asked me to do her hair for her.
And this was the one time I didn't roll my eyes.
But she was quiet and she was in pain and it gave me pain as well.
Um, she said that I should become a hairdresser.
I'm never going to become a hairdresser only for failure.

I'm I'm going to speak in and in English. We saw what my brothers in Christ here shared in some more but I want to speak in English here to our non-speaking sour but it's short and sweet.
Uh my relationship with uh Thalia goes way back from youth days and I've been around for you know for decades. Uh I've seen my brother Falia we've been brought up together in the youth days and as someone mentioned yeah he was a naughty man back then but uh thanks to Falia she honestly everyone that shared their speeches today that's so true you know everything that they've said I confirmed also because without her she's done a lot within the ministry musician whatsoever she's done so much and I was so blessed um to have her around. But uh you know I guess sometimes life is like that. Uh one of the verses on Deuteronomy 29:29 it says that only God knows the secrets of things. Sometimes we you know we can't explain why but only God knows and and also in the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
And I believe that she's in in a place where she's having joy in her heart. You know, 7 years ago, I was right here when these she she had a speech here and that's what the Lord put on my heart.
Her verse was Philippians 4:4.
Uh that's the verse that she said and I believe that she's in a place where she doesn't want to come back down. Uh and I I encourage us all rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice >> because on that glorious day as you have heard the message but as many as we see them has every right to become children of God those who believe in his name and that was one of the message that passed my heart and I just want to encourage us that there is a place for us in heaven where there is no weeping no tearing no mourning or whatsoever but it's filled with peace and I pray pastoral and also uh may God's peace be upon you and you know as God will leave it to you all the Lord see what God says if God desires to whatever happens let God do his will upon us but I pray that God's comfort be upon you pastor be and also Mi and also the ministry cuz I know that God has so much plans for But let's continue to fight the good fight. But Falia, I know you're there and we wish you all the best. But I pray that there will be more Falias because as you heard, she's had nurtured so many spiritual daughters and spiritual sons and that's the aim that we will continue to go forth and serve him for the rest of our life.
May God bless our family and God bless each and every one of us. Thank you for the opportunity.
Uh, one day It is well.
It is well with my soul.
Happy in all Oh god.
When peace like a ring is all I see he knows.
Whatever my heart and thou have told me to say it is well.
It is worth my soul.

>> It is well with my soul.
It is well with my soul.
It is well with my soul.
Do you >> Praise God. God is good >> all the time.
>> Amen. and praise the Lord. I just want to ask our worship team to you if they can help me sing a song. One of the songs that me and my sister used to sing a lot of the time. My upbringing is that my mother used to make us sing a lot.
So, I just want to honor my sister even though we're a bit sick. So, I apologize. There's a lot of coughing going on here. So, we'll do our best to um sing a song or myself. Praise God.
Oh my for I La.
All my master I love you.
Don't let us see.
So I might leave you on.
Hold test.
All my lord so my Noo myo.
Oh, so somebody Oh, all My love.
Ooh.
Oh la.
I would just like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of our our pastors and their first ladies, our churches, our families, friends and loved ones and especially Falia's dear friends and workmates from Middlemore Hospital and career services and also as well as our our colleagues as well that are here. Um, just appreciate you guys so much for turning up for us. Um, >> Amen.
>> My testimony tonight is probably short because I believe that everybody else has already confirmed the character and the person that our sister Falia was.
The amount of people that turned up to visit her, the amount of people that are here today, the amount of people that have flown in, the amount of people that have blessed us, that have fed us, that have cried with us. I believe that is already a testimony of the great person, the godly woman that she was and is. And I believe that um >> she's just very proud of everybody. So, thank you so much. Tonight is a night of thanksgiving for me. Um I just give thanks and glory to God because you know man says that this is the time of somebody's life. They told us that Falia only had a few days, but Falia almost battled through to two weeks. So, I believe that that was God giving us the time, the time to be with her and just to, you know, to >> God, >> that was God's hand. So, I'm so thankful to the Lord even though it was hard um to see her suffer. So >> I just praise God because God >> even though she was really sick, she still declared God's praises. She was still saying, "God is good. God is good." And she was still trying to sing worship songs.
So praise God for her life.
>> And I just want to express my thanks to my sister my first best friend, the person that I always turn to, my 38 years of life with her, some of the best. So, I'm just grateful to God for the privilege and the honor to be called her sister.
>> Praise God.
>> When I think of her, when I want explain the character that she has, she's such a humble person. the testimonies tonight. She's such a meek person. She's such a gentle person.
She's full of love. Always greets us with a smile. And when I think back, I don't think I remember a time that she's ever raised her voice at me because that's the humble person that she was. even though we had a lot of disagreements, even though she could be really mad, but I agree and I can confirm of everybody's testimony that she was such a humble person. And I just can't believe that I can't remember a time that she's raised her voice at me.
And I want everybody to know that the character and the person that she was also comes from the people that raised her. So I honor my father and my late mother for all the love that they poured into her that's helped her to become the godly woman that she was. So praise God. I just want to give thanks to the Lord for her life for allowing us to have her for these 40 years. And I just want to thank you sis for everything.
She was such a reliable person.
She was my right hand when it came to planning events, birthdays, just loved her family and the church and God's ministry so much.
Whenever a mother or a father would ask something of us, she would always say yes. She was a yes person to us, but most especially to God. Amen.
Very good.
>> So, I just thank you, sis, for everything. I love you so much.
>> Amen.
>> I promise that I will do my best to honor you and to look after your son and especially support pastor as well, your husband, the love over your life. And I want to thank pastor as well >> for all the love and the care that he shown my sister high school sweetheart. So thank you so much pastor.
My sister is humble but sometimes stubborn. So I thank pastor for always being patient with her as well.
Um so thank you everybody. That's my testimony tonight before I cry even more. Amen.
>> Praise God.
I apologize to all non someone's figures. I'm going to share myology in someone.
Yeah. Um for was like a dab between two lions.
Yeah, that's how she is. She was like a dub between me and Francis.
What I mean is Francis are very straightforward people as we will tell you for example what I'm saying is in our mother's ministry.
So most of the time I will tell the mothers me calm down for her.
So I learned a lot fromise.
>> She was like almost like my mentor, my inspiration.
She treated me like I'm almost like a mother to her.
her and Francis.
Amen.
I was with her most of the time at the hospital.
She always say to me, "For I'm tired. I want to go."
And he said, "Where you want to go?" She said, "I want to go home."
So I just ran to the bathroom and cried and I said to the Lord, "If it is so, it is well with my soul because my sister is ready."
When she preached at our Bible college, she said, "Put on the armor of God."
That's how I know she's ready.
She said, "Put on the armor of God every day. Put on the armor of God." Then I know she's ready. My sister's assignment is completed. She is now in heaven.
Every night it always plays in my mind.
Oh, I'm tired. Oh, I want to go home. I wish there's something else that I can do to help her with her pain. But all I do is rub her back, rub her tummy.
That's all I do.
There's nothing else I can do.
I have faith in God that she will heal my sister. Unfortunately, this is God's will. Let God's will be done. And is well, it is well with my soul.
>> Amen.
like you all here tonight.
Me and Frances need to learn from her.
