Day 9/37: I’m Starting to Fall in Love with Brazil

[00:00:01]Day nine of crossing South America to go to ayahuasca retreat in Colombia. Woke up in the stand. Pretty nice view, but it was a rough night. It was super super windy, also raining.

[00:00:09]But I mean, this is a good time to earn a two bed. And as I wake up, I see over there and there's a cow.

[00:00:15]How did she get here? I need to go take a shower and brush my teeth.

[00:00:18]There's the bathroom there. All right, so I was able to avoid the cow, take a shower, and now I'm here in the city.

[00:00:24]It feels like it's a dead city. No one's here. Like a mixture of Eastern Europe maybe and Brazil. Very very interesting. The plan for today is canyons, visiting my friend in the city of Torres, and then slowly driving to Balneário Camboriú, the Miami of Brazil, to meet with one girl that I met when I was in Rio for the Carnival. Apparently, she's a miss of one of the states, so looking forward to that. And then on the way, it's going to be a lot of driving, so a lot of thinking, a lot of reflecting, and getting ready for ayahuasca. Day three and third closed road. What is going on? Am I choosing the wrong roads? Going to turn around and find Itatiaia National Park. Crazy roads. Let's explore it. Here, if you want to reverse or go forward and then We got a well. So, I talked to the woman and I was told that it's pretty expensive to go in and there's no visibility, so it doesn't really make sense. So, I'm just going to turn around and go to the city the other way. So, you know on the map, this road is closed, so I have to go all the way around. It's all good. Loving the adventure. Loving driving through these small villages just to see how people live. I mean, this is amazing. So, I made it to this gaucho place with some amazing views. I got to say I have had some better parkings. Made it to Torres.

[00:01:26]Going to meet my friend soon. It's pretty exciting. Uh let's see how it's going to go. All right, off to Balneário Camboriú we go.

[00:01:32]Meeting a miss of one of the Brazilian states. Pretty exciting. It's Friday night, so I think it's a good time to go out. It is the Miami of Brazil, so might as well go out there. Got some thoughts on Brazil. So, I have been to Rio, São Paulo, and now the south. And so different. All of them are super different. Brazil is multiple multiple countries in one. It is super culturally diverse. It is a fascinating country.

[00:01:55]Uh south is completely different than north, than northeast, than the middle, than the Amazon. So, when people go to Rio and they think they see they've seen Brazil, come on.

[00:02:03]Uh, and I just can't wait to to see more of it and I start to slowly develop a relationship and fall in love with Brazil.

[00:02:10]It is a pretty cool country.

[00:02:12]>> I'm in the middle getting some food here. It's still good tires to go. It's raining.

[00:02:15]But, I am pretty good. Uh, listening to The Power of Now and then just going to find a place to stay. Blast the music, another toll gate, and somehow my gas is going up. So, it started at 710 and then it said 790. How is that possible? When I rented it, it was below 500, I think.
