Grok Imagine 1.5 vs Google Omni Flash 3.5: 4 Cinematic Tests

[00:00:00]Is Brock's new Imagine Video 1.5 better than Google Omni's Flash 3.5? Well, we are going to test that with these four starter scenes that we have set up here.

[00:00:10]We have some very difficult scenes that it's going to be really hard for both of these AI agents to be able to generate these. So, for our first scene, we have a lot going on. We have lightning going on in the background. We have clouds. We have the rain flowing. We have huge waves crashing into the lighthouse.

[00:00:28]There's a lot going on and we are going to use this prompt right here to create the video. This is going to be the exact same prompt for both agents. We have used the provided image as the exact first frame. A massive wave crashes against the rocks below, sending white spray upward into frame. Her hair whips violently sideways in the wind.

[00:00:50]Lightning flashes on the horizon. The dark sky briefly illuminated. The ocean churns below. white and rolling over dark water. Rain lashes the frame. She grips the railing tighter. Camera holds steady at eye level with a slight shake from the wind. Cinematic atmosphere slow motion. So, let's go ahead and see what this can create. We're going to do it on Grock and Google Omni. Now, while both of these are generating, I do want to give you guys a quick little bonus. So, from yesterday's video, we did Grock imagine video 1.5 versus Seance 2.0.

[00:01:30]And I wanted to give Omni the exact same prompt to see what it can create. And actually, this is this is really good.

[00:01:49]Wow, that is really good. I mean, one thing that you notice too, if you look real close, you can see the person inside the helmet. Grock and Sea Dance, neither of them did that. And the reflection is awesome. The reflection's awesome. I seance 2.0, man. They they are way too expensive for these other video generations to be coming out. They're not going to be able to com compete.

[00:02:15]Okay, Grock's video just finished. It took about 60 seconds. Let's check it out.

[00:02:26]Okay, so a few things here.

[00:02:32]The water looks amazing. I mean, that doesn't look unrealistic at all. The lightning in the background, uh, it's not repeating the exact same rhythm, which is great. So, we don't see it like continuously doing the same thing. the waves in the background. That looks great. The only thing that I would say is weird and maybe that's just a prompt issue is her hands. She goes, I don't that I'm not really sure why that is something that it chose for her to do. Let's see what Google Omni did. Now, real quick before we start, there was a weird thing that happened with Google Omni. It popped up and said like a little prompt.

[00:03:12]It said, "I can't generate videos of a specific person." and I was like, "This isn't this is just a random lady." Uh, so I just redid the prompt. I didn't change anything about it and it's still it went through this time. So, anyways, here we go.

[00:03:35]Okay.

[00:03:39]Now, when that comes to the realism of it, the water still looks super realistic. It's the hair's flowing really good. The rain I would say the rain is a little bit I would rather it be a little better. Um the lightning in the background pretty much perfect. Uh you know it is supposed to be in slow motion so we can get all those particles. I think I'm still going to have to give this to Grock. Grock uh Imagine 1.5 I think did a lot better. But honestly, Omni is not far behind. Okay, so for this one, we've got a guy in a raincoat inside of a city. It's raining really bad. We got steam coming out of the sewer drain. And the prompt we have for this for both is going to be, "Heavy rain continues to pour. Streaks rain catch the neon light as they fall. Puddles ripple and splash on the wet pavement. Neon reflections shimmer and distort in the water. Steam drifts upward from the sewer gate. His coat shifts slightly in the gust of wind. Water dripping from the hem. He holds the camera's gaze. Still composed, unhurried camera holds steady, shallow focus, cinematic, and slow pacing. So, let's see what it can create. Okay, both videos finished very fast. Let's check it out.

[00:05:04]Okay, the wind is good. The The steam is great. The steam is so realistic. The rain looks perfect. Um, down there in the background, like, you know, on the puddles, it's the rain. You can see it. The only thing that I would say is a little strange, and you probably agree. It's just the way that his like his jacket is flowing. I mean, obviously there's not enough wind because the steam isn't changing and the rain isn't changing. So, there shouldn't be enough wind that's like flinging the jacket. But other than that, it looks great. Let's see what Omni did. So, this time, I'm actually going to zoom in for you guys so it's a little easier to see.

[00:05:51]Okay, the steam a little less unrealistic than Grock. Uh, but I will say when the jacket flings, both didn't do a really good job on the jacket flinging. It was supposed to be rippling through the wind, but you know, that's fine. But actually, when it ripples, you can actually see the splash come off the jacket and splash on the ground. That's actually pretty awesome. But I will say the background where the rain is hitting the puddle, that just doesn't look realistic at all. It looks like huge raindrops hitting. So Omni, honestly, I think we're have to give this to Grock.

[00:06:30]Both pretty much failed in their own ways, but Grock definitely did better at hiding it for sure. Okay, so for this scene, we've got a guy camping. He's holding his hands over the fire. He's going to be talking, and let's put this prompt in and go ahead and read it out.

[00:06:45]So the campfire crackles and pops.

[00:06:48]Flames dance and flicker, casting shifting orange light across his face and hands embers rise and then sparks upward into the dark. Smoke drifts slowly through the the frame. He turns his hands slowly over the heat. Uh the pine forest uh sways faintly and the night breeze behind him. He holds his eye contact with the camera. That might end up looking kind of weird. Warm, unhurried, uh, fair, light, never hold steady, uh, always move, always shifting, cinematic, intimate, and slow.

[00:07:26]So, let's go ahead and put both these prompts through and see what they create. Okay, Grock just finished. Let's check it out.

[00:07:34]Okay, so no talking.

[00:07:37]I wasn't sure if it was going to generate talking on its own, but staring at the at this at the camera, you know, that is something. So, it it was subtle with the trees moving and him moving and the and the sparks. I was afraid that with that prompt, it was just going to like make things explosive and the trees were going to be breaking in the background because sometimes when you prompt things like to be subtle, sometimes it just makes it way more than what it should be.

[00:08:06]So, honestly, no failure here. This is a pass. Let's see what Omni did. Okay, so in the Gemini chat, I ran out of being able to create videos in the Gemini chat. So, I'm going to go over to Flow and finish there with uh Google Omni.

[00:08:18]Okay, one last caveat. Uh so, on Google Flow, they don't have it set up for Omni to be able to start from a starting image. So, we had to fall down to VO3.1.

[00:08:29]So, we're technically going to be doing Grock Imagine video 1.5 versus VO 3.1.

[00:08:35]Uh, for these last ones, we're still going to be able to see Grock, but let's see what uh Google's doing for VO 3.1.

[00:08:42]It's not as good as Omni, obviously, but let's just check it out.

[00:08:51]Not horrible, honestly. I mean, he's his hands are in the fire, so that uh that's probably going to be a fail obviously, but I I don't know so much that we should judge this uh the same way. But, you know, hopefully maybe Vio can pull the next one out. But, let's see what it's got. So, the next starting scene we have is a man on Mount Everest or big like a big mountain, whatever you want to call it. It's like huge up there, right? He's got breath coming out of his of his mouth. There's a blizzard going on. And the prompt we're going to give it is, "Snow and wind blast sideways in a densed white streaks across the entire frame." His jacket fabric presses and blows hard against the wind. He exhales again. Uh, thick breath cloud whipped sideways. Immediately, snow accumulates on his shoulders and his hair. His goo his goggle strap snaps in the gust. He holds the grin completely unfazed. Completely at home storm intensely. Intensity increasing slightly mid clip. Camera holds steady despite the impa implied force of the wind. Cold blue white cinematic exposure. Okay, it's already done with the video. So, let's check it out.

[00:10:19]um not really the best when it comes to that. It doesn't really make a real breath cloud. Uh that's that kind of sucks. Or maybe the prompt is kind of just too much for it to really create something there. Let's see what Vio created. Google VO 3.1 is finished.

[00:10:50]Honestly, the goggle strap is way better. That That's honestly not that bad. Um, and the particles, it's really not awful. Like sometimes the snow's popping out of like nowhere and it just doesn't really look the best. But for VO3.1, I'm going to give it a pass. I mean, honestly, it's not awful. I'm I can't hold it to the same standard as Omni, but it just it did not do an awful job, guys.
