Added:In the heart of Monterrey, two corners of the same street [music] hold two different centuries in their hands. On one side, the cathedral, on the other, the Marco Museum. If you had to choose a perspective to define the [music] city, would it be the sacred stone of our past or the bold geometry of our present?
[music] Let me know in the comments.
In this series of digital studies, we explore how time is carved into the city's industrial [music] soul. We begin with the Cathedral of Monterrey, a monument of grace where the abstraction of reality [music] softens the stone, turning the bell tower into a pillar of light. Directly across, we find the Museo Marco.
>> [music] >> Here, the industrial geometry is undeniable. The deep red walls designed by Legorreta aren't just architecture, they are a pulse of energy. But, the true secret [music] is found on the second floor. Looking through the museum's back window, the city is framed by these [music] modern red pillars, leading our eyes directly to the skeletal strength [music] of Cerro de la Silla. This is where stone to steel becomes a lived experience. The mountain doesn't just [music] sit in the background, it is captured and held by the very buildings we [music] create.
Notice the third painting, how the red frame of the window sharpens the blue of the distant mountain. Does this abstraction [music] make the mountain feel closer to the city or does it emphasize the distance between the two?
These visions are digital studies, the conceptual [music] foundation for my original mixed media works on canvas created for future museum and gallery exhibitions. We are sketching [music] the soul of Monterrey, one landmark at a time. Join me in the next video as we discover where the brush takes us next.
