Nobody Has the Right to Live Their Life Protected From Being Offended

[00:00:00]Nobody has the right to live their lives being protected from offense or from insult or from hurt feelings. It is an occupational hazard of living in society.

[00:00:16]And if you really can't take it, become a hermit. She's 100% right and as I've gotten older again, I'm fairly young, but like society has gotten so soft. And if I'm being honest, that's primarily in my opinion driven by the left. Nobody should have to go through life and be offended. If you offend somebody, that's wrong and you should apologize. As the left has ran further left, everything is a cancelable offense or it was. For example, I don't know if you've heard but how many times have you heard people talk about well that's a microaggression.

[00:00:46]I don't feel comfortable because that was a microaggression. For example, if you misgender somebody, a person wants to be a male, they're a female and you call her ma'am, they consider that a microaggression. Or for example, I'm black and a lot of people tell me I'm articulate. You know what? If I was adopting their mentality or if I was subscribing to their ideology, I would be like, well, are you saying I'm articulate because I'm black and black people can't be articulate? Mind you, the person didn't say, "You're articulate for a black person." The person simply said, "Wow, you're articulate." Those are two completely different sentences, but according to the microaggression crowd, the person who said, "Wow, you're articulate." You have to take that and assume that it meant you're articulate for a black person and now I'm supposed to be offended. When in the vast majority of cases, people come up to me and say you're articulate, they mean in general, they mean amongst all races, they don't mean you're articulate for a black man. But then let's take that a step further. In order to be offended by that, you have to make a set of assumptions. You can't take the person at their word. You have to take what the person said and interpret it into what you think they meant, not what they said and then from there you need to be offended because it was a microaggression. If someone mistakes a female doctor for a nurse because she's in scrubs, micro-aggression. Assuming binary pronouns like he or she, or assuming that someone's straight like heterosexual, micro-aggression. The left has continually worked to create a soft society. And like this woman said, being offended or having something you don't like said to you is an occupational hazard for life in society. A bunch of people on the left want to make society so soft and padded that people actually don't have the freedom to speak and be who they are because everything is offensive.
