She Refused to Miss Her Spirit Flight… So She Breached the Jet Bridge

[00:00:00]On September 10th, 2025, cops were called to Fort Lauderdale International Airport in reference to a Spirit Airlines disturbance. After a passenger refused to pay for a carry-on bag, she proceeded to curse out the airline staff. She also threw her bag and left it on the jet bridge and forced her way onto the plane. According to the Spirit Airline Witnesses, these are the events that unfolded.

[00:00:38]>> She doesn't want to pay. That wasn't even the issue. So, um she get I wait and then she was yelling and screaming and everything and then she throw this one and then technically she went on.

[00:00:51]>> How did she get on the plane?

[00:00:53]>> She went by force. She just walked by and now she won't. She didn't go.

When I bought my bought my ticket like on the way in, the lady said, "We have a personal item. You don't need to check the bag." I bought a gift for my son. I'm born in New York.

[00:02:32]It's a little toy box. And they asked me and I told him, "I bought this gift in the in the airport." And my my husband were begging her for me to bring the gift with me and they started following me, harassing me for a gift. I'm the ma'am. I just bought this gift >> cuz they wanted they said, "What?" Cuz now it's two items instead of one.

[00:02:55]>> I left the box for them cuz I'm not going to pay $90 for a $30 gift. They can have it and I left and she still called you to come follow me.

Um, >> so here's the thing. She said she's saying that then she told you not to >> get on board and just kind of pushed her way through the box and came.

[00:03:41]>> I scan my ticket. That's how they know.

[00:03:42]I left the box and came to catch my car because I don't want to miss it. I left the box. If that's what she wants. If I give her what she wanted, I don't need no problem. I don't want to pay $90 for a $30 gift. If if she wants the box, if it's that serious, they have the box and I just went about my business. She still followed through. Even though I'm not following, I'm not causing problems. I'm not saying nothing. She still called the police.

[00:05:17]They're going to rebook you on another flight with a different crew and then you're going to fly home.

[00:05:52]They're going to rebook you. You'll be allowed to fly at a later time this afternoon or whatever. Whenever the flight is that they put you on, >> that's it.

[00:12:16]>> So, she was charged with one count of disorderly conduct, one count of trespassing, and her bond was set to $2,650.
