Entrepreneurship is fundamentally a mindset rather than just starting a business, and children can develop this mindset through structured activities that build confidence, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a solution-focused approach to challenges, as demonstrated by the 47th National Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Stimulation for Children organized by EDI Ahmedabad, which has been running for 32 years and has grown from 34 to 117 participants across 11 states.

We are honored to have with us the driving force behind the summer camp. He is a distinguished EDI faculty and has served as the dedicated camp leader for 47th National Summer Camp. I invite Dr. Pankage Bharti Sur to share his insights about the camp.
Now settle down please.
Okay. Thank you.
Good afternoon to all our respected DG sir Dr. Sukla director general edi my colleague Dr. Josi Dr. Tasha, Madhu, Taral, Bau, Kumal, parents and dear participants.
It has been wonderful six days where we have shared lot of ideas, knowledge, informations.
As you know the objective of the camp is to find out hidden talent of students and motivate them for success and we have tried to achieve these objectives.
Sir the camp formally started on 24th May with 117 students from 30 cities across 11 states. The 11 states are Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. This is a true national camp.
This time we have 78 boys, 39 girls.
We divided the camp activity into two parts inside the inside and outside the classroom. The classroom inputs included self assessment exercise, creativity, innovation, goal setting, team building, leadership, AI, innovation, and interaction with achievers. The out of classroom inputs included yoga, multiculture, prayer, entertainment activity, and economic or entrepreneurial activity.
For a smooth functioning, we have divided entire batch into two groups A and B and each group into four subgroups A1, A2, A3, A4 like this.
We also took them on a visit of renowned industries where participant interacted with entrepreneurs and other key officials of the business. Uh sir I am pleased to learn that the camp has achieved its objective and we all are benefited from each other and also I thanks participation and support of each and every participant students without your active support it is not possible to make camp success. Thank you. Thank you everybody.
The true heartbeat of this camp is in the voices of the children themselves. I request participants to share their feedback about the camp.
Um good afternoon everyone. Uh good afternoon DJ sir. Good afternoon Pangat sir. My name is uh Ara Seti. I'm from Bodra and uh I'm here to share my reflection about the camp. This has been a very successful camp for me. The experience was a new one. Right. I like the camp's focus or aim you know that is on developing the core values and skills of the children that are the future of the country because that is what entrepreneurship really is. It's a mindset. I mean it's not just you know starting any fancy business or something. So one thing I would like to quote um Pankit Sur said in one of the yoga sessions teacher or thankful to the camp to you know save me from times cruelty I would say and that I could learn under teachers blessings and guidance and coming to it I learned a couple of things here that I would like to share with you just like two or three one was that I learned believing believing not just in yourself but believing in everybody who whoever is in your team because that will really help you and Secondly, will. Where there's a will, there's a way. As simple as that. Do whatever you do with a will, with a with a need for doing it. And um yeah, that's pretty much from my side. Um I thank you all for being a wonderful audience. Signing off once again, Arnavi. Thank you.
Good afternoon everyone. Thank you Edi, Pankatar, DG Sir, Dr. Anushri and all the other mentors who have made these five days so valuable. I am Vi Go from Mumbai, Maharashtra.
This camp has given us so much more than information. It has changed how I look at myself. It has changed how I look at challenges.
Activities like the ring toss and the blindfolded brick tower weren't just fun. They showed us that limits are often just in our minds. Trying under pressure taught me not to underestimate myself and that confidence comes from practicing and learning, not from being perfect. Over these five days, we moved from a problem focused mindset to a solution focused one. Instead of saying that this won't work, we started asking what can we try next. We practiced explaining ideas clearly in a minute, learned different leadership styles and picked up ways to improve our focus and to get into the flow state. sessions on finance and talking to the achievers helped us see how our ideas met reality through hard work, persistence, and learning from our mistakes.
I also want to thank EDI for letting us run a real economic activity using money as capital. My group tried a small business and this has led me to gain experience which I believe I can use in the real world. From today I hope that all of us can use these lessons into action. We can start by trying small experiments by instead of stopping at a problem we would set focus time and to build better concentration. I will listen more before I lead. I will give honest feedback kindly and reach out to mentors when I need guidance. When I fail, I will treat it as a lesson instead of a mistake. Thank you to the organizers and the members for inspiring us. Thank you.
>> Good afternoon everyone. I'm Arif Padonia and it's truly an honor to be standing before you for the conclusion of EDI's 47th annual summer camp for children. The highest education that which merely does not give information but makes our life in harmony with all existence. These are some famous words by Rabindana Tego and I couldn't find a better way to describe this place. The last few days have been the most enthrilling and exciting that I felt in a while. My visit to EDI has been surreal and life-changing. Each session conducted and each activity performed has its own special significance in our journey to be a successful entrepreneur and most importantly a better person in life. This experience is weaved from sessions of from numerous sessions, hours of conversations and days of neverending curiosity. I particularly liked how theoretical concepts were integrated with small and concise group projects and real world experiences to boost understanding and keep us interested. I also found it really fascinating and the manner in which uh the teachers over here give detailed explanations of entrepreneurship guides using simple activities that we often dismiss as leisure. I also feel really grateful for getting to getting the opportunity to attend the lectures of some of the best professors I know as well as mentors.
Special mentions to Mr. Serin sir, Mr. Shukla sir and Mr. Nagori sir. Their sessions were captivating and deeply impactful. From India's 1991 economic liber liberalization to the telecom revolution, each part each single aspect of information has played an important role in our journey here. The group interactions and projects conducted by teachers also had a great importance in our learning journey. Each activity promoted teamwork, understanding and cooperation.
uh through panka bhhati so's interactive lessons as well we were familiarized with many multiple important lessons like moderating risk setting targets above our capabilities and what not we were also taught to navigate through challenges in social interactions and use our natural capabilities to our advantage a lesson that I felt is applicable to more than entrepreneurship we also got to know a lot from experienced entrepreneurs through the interaction with achievers which is a frequently held program at the EDI. Uh their journey to success was really encouraging and motivating. It taught me that entrepreneurs aren't just those who replicate ideas but have the will to make changes to current situations. I would like to specifically thank Pankage Bharti Sur and his team for their never- ending support and cooperation while we resided here. It has been a really good week and I hope the ADI continues to nurture young minds for the development of our country. Thank you to my all my peers for this event too. The community that you're around also shapes your experience and you guys have done an amazing job. Thank you and have a nice day.
Good morning everyone. I'm Mia Sani from Marissa. Today I would like to share one of the most inspiring experiences from the 47th National Summer Camp for Children, the industrial visit. Before this visit, factories were just buildings to me. But the moment we stepped inside, they felt like living spaces of innovation, energy, and purpose. Everywhere around us, machines moved with precision as raw materials transformed into the products we utilize every single day. Our first visit was to a bad manufacturing factory where we watched simple materials become finished bags within minutes. What fascinated me most was the coordination. Every machine, every worker and every step work together like one powerful system.
It made me realize how much effort, engineering, and planning lie behind the simplest of products. Next, we visited a cloth manufacturing factory where thousands of threads moved together in perfect rhythm. Watching cotton turn into thread and fabric felt like witnessing creativity, creativity and engineering woven together into something more than meaningful. But the biggest lesson was not about the machines. It was about people. Behind every behind every system stood hardworking individuals whose teamwork, discipline and dedication brought everything to life. Later our visit to Sabunati ashram associated with Mahatma Gandhi gave us a different perspective.
After seeing the speed of industries, the calmness of the ashram reminds us that true progress must always be balanced with values, ethics and humanity.
This industrial visit did not just teach us how products are made. It showed us how ideas, people, and purpose come together to shape our future. Thank you.
I now request our director general Dr. Sunil Shuklaser to present the certificates to the participants.

Congratulations to the participants. We are incredibly fortunate to be led by a director general whose commitment to the spirit of enterprise has transformed EDI into a global beon of entrepreneurship.
It was under his guidance and encouragement that summer camps were initiated continuing a 32-year legacy of grooming high achievers. Sir, we eagerly look forward to your words of wisdom and your address to our future leaders and their proud parents. So, please Dr. Bharti, my other colleagues, invited parents, guardians, grandparents and most importantly the participating children.
very happy to be here with you all. The program which started last Sunday getting over today but the association continues now all these 117 children are part of EDI alumni network a program that we had started in 1994 at that time we weren't very sure whether uh this activity will be received but as we can see thanks to all of you for patronizing ing this program it has grown from 34 children of one batch to 117 children. This is the second batch and about 115 last last week uh we we had another program.
Idea behind this program is as Dr. Barti has already explained we believe that these children have lots of talent, creativity, aspirations and of late what I have seen over last three decades that the knowledge base, information, inquisitiveness, curiosity all these have substantially grown.
There are a couple of exercises. I was asking him a particular problem group problem solving exercise which we used to give in this program when I used to conduct the program and I also used to give the same group problem in my IM Ahmedabad MBA classes and I always found that these children the summer camp children participants they solved it much more quickly than those professional students. I was asking him that have you given this this year and he said because they solve it very quickly. So there is no point in giving this we are giving other other problem solving exercises. So this is the generation we are dealing with. No wonder when prime minister sir says that uh by 2047 we will be vikasid bharat. It is because of this talent, this generation, this information, this aspiration and all that competence, positivity that they have with us.
We are more than confident that India will truly achieve its place.
We are always proud of our glorious past. But seeing them, we are assured of a glorious future too. And thank thanks the parents for uh sending them to this program providing them the opportunity and it is not only the classroom learning or outside learning which we are facilitating we are leading those discussions the best of the learning they get from among themselves. 117 the peer group learning is the best over here because each child has a different kind of talent. Someone has more information based more knowledge more general studies. Someone has excelled in sports particular sports game. Someone has a cultural talent some other talent.
So by seeing them how they can learn how can they take a clue of inspiration from them. This is the object and that's why I always say that more than the classroom learning it is the peerroup learning which works best in this kind of program.
We had organized the program thinking that children will get a a productive engagement during summers. Those days hardly there were any engagement. Today there are number of choices available including social media and various other platforms. But despite that when we have worked with them we have seen the way they have participated enthusiastically almost 16 hours a day. Uh Dr. Bharti and uh and the team worked with them and I thank God also for keeping everybody safe. No mission, no mishop, no unward incidents, nothing of that sort happened. So thank to God also for all these safety, security and everything.
We have found that I uh I was fortunate to interact with them in the class yesterday and uh whatever questions I asked, whatever I wanted, I got it instantly. I firmly believe that they are very uh uh what you call achievement focused oriented. They know what they are all capable of. I was pleasantly surprised when somebody said that when I was leading entrepreneurship that what do you mean by entrepreneurship?
Normally in a course when you ask entrepreneur they go by textbook definition that someone who does this this this this creates this provides employment wealth etc etc but somebody said that entrepreneurship is a state of mind. I wasn't expecting this in this class. A remarkable answers. So I I mean I can see the talent that we have but most of the time this talent remains dormant and this is the role of this kind of program to bring out their hidden talent and it is a self-triggered self-sponsored selfdirected learning whatever activities that we are giving even there is an economic activity but that is that that has nothing to do with entrepreneurship it is more like helping them understanding the value of planning, value of time, solving the problem, creativity and managing the group process. So there could be differences of opinion, there could be difficulties in leading the group and there are several other activities assignments that we have. Our idea is that right from morning yoga till different the the whole day they are given different exercises within the class outside the class and the day ends with the cultural activity. So our idea is that wherever they can showcase their talent and from there that kick they need only a kick to excel and that I think that has worried most of the cases. I'm very happy that the feedback you can see and the best feedback is that those who have attended the classes this program in 94 95 I think we have who had participated in 1998 we participated. So now they they nominate their children. This is the best figure that and best satisfaction for me and the institute.
Last year there was someone like him and he said that I was still I think seventh grade but he said and he started laughing himself. So thank you for providing this kind of opportunity and creative constructive rather than every time prescribing them and prescribing them facilitate independence freedom their freedom certainly so that they don't harm themselves monitoring observation and most importantly providing them uh good books. This is a time when they can read biographies, autobiographies of achievers.
Dr. Dr. Pankage Bharti used to organize a prayer meet wherein he would read certain anecdot certain stories about achievement orientation so that a spirit of enterprise creativity problem solving is built purpose is program or now they are part of this institute. they will keep on receiving the information and uh this year we also we had issued one advertisement normally we don't advertise I discussed with Dr. Should we give an advertisement? He said there is no need sir we have enough but we thought that since it has been within the particular captive audience group only why not reach out to newer people and we gave an advertisement and we got very good support particularly a trust DDK of I think 112 113 year old trust they came forward and they nominated about 35 children from their their community thanks to them for nominating them and this This is the responsibility of if you feel that the camp has worked both the parents and the children please bring it to the knowledge of others those who can benefit from it because we have some limitations. We may not be able to reach out to everyone. U we are we have several other activities uh but this particular program both children and youth and uh out of these two the children program is the dearest for us.
The entire institute is geared up.
Entire institute works for this. Only four or five people are seen here. But behind the scene, the entire battalion is there to ensure their safety, security, learning, they are wellfed and everything else. So thank you very much for coming and we look forward to your support again. Thank you.
Finally, I would like to call upon my esteemed colleague Dr. Anushi Jooshi to present the vote of thanks.
