While the performance gains are impressive, this experiment is a reckless pursuit of benchmarks that ignores the catastrophic risks of condensation. It serves as a vivid demonstration of the inherent thermal limitations found in modern laptop architecture.

using Dry Ice to hyper cool a laptopAñadido:
Today we're attempting to make the fastest MacBook Neo using this inconspicuous brown bag. Inside of this baggie is a bunch of dry ice, which is so cold you can't touch it with your bare hands. But if we can use that cold to prevent our MacBook Neo from thermal throttling, maybe we can push it to its absolute limit. Because there's no active cooling inside of this laptop, it relies on thermal throttling to make sure the CPU and GPU don't overheat. But in doing so, it sacrifices performance.
So let's see what happens if we put it on a bed of super cold, dry ice. Wa! Did you hear that? All right, before the ice sublimates or destroys our computer, let's run Cinebench. For reference, our baseline is 1,716. You know what? We'll go ahead and pour some ice directly on the keyboard as well. Our core temperatures are actually dropping over the course of this run and as a result, our CPU clock speed is actually increasing. This seems promising as long as it doesn't destroy our computer because while dry ice does not itself conduct electricity, it will lead to condensation, which can destroy a computer. Our temperatures are falling off the chart. That's so insane.
Visually, you can see it's gotten so cold that the laptop is starting to condensate. This in lies the issue cuz now all of this could short out the computer. Our GPU has approached 0° C.
It's sitting at 222 and it hasn't changed. So, I'm wondering if this just doesn't measure lower than that. 3 minutes of our test left. So, fingers crossed.
1877. That's what a That's a 10% increase in performance. And oh my gosh, our computer just black screened. Hey guys, I think my computer froze. Get it?
But no, yeah, this this is an issue.
