Christian women should dress with elegance and modesty as daughters of the King, avoiding both the extremes of overexposing their bodies for validation and settling for careless, unrefined appearances; this involves building a wardrobe based on quality, personal style, and modesty, while understanding that true elegance commands presence without needing to scream for attention, and that the Proverbs 31 woman valued quality and visual polish in her appearance.

How to Dress Like a Proverbs 31 Woman (Elegant & Modest)
Added:Have you ever felt that, in order to be a Christian woman, you need to give up your style and accept looking careless?
Or, on the other extreme, maybe you find yourself still dressing the way you used to before knowing Christ. So, if you are stuck between these two worlds, this video is for you.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> You know this doesn't reflect who you are anymore, and you want to change, but you simply don't know how to do it without losing your sense of style.
Welcome to the Youth Made Guide to Elegance and Identity for 2026.
I know that many of you watching me have a heart entirely devoted to God. You love him, and you want to honor him in absolutely every area of your life. The Bible assures us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away.
Behold, [music] all things have become new. But, if our interior was transformed, and if we are new creation, why does our external image often still tell a story of a past that we left behind? [music] I see a real and urgent need to bring knowledge and clarity to Christian women regarding their own image. And I believe with all my heart that it's no coincidence that video reached you today. I'm Laís Ribeiro, personal stylist and image consultant for over 7 years, Christian and a founder of Dia Viva Club, a community of women who wants to be like the Proverbs 31 a and who have already understood that their external image must reflect [music] the beauty of their hearts. There are many false beliefs regarding self-image and clothing in our midst. On one hand, the world dictates that you need to show your body and be vulgar to have any value. On the other, misunderstood [music] religious rules say that you must give up your style and embrace carelessness to prove you're holy. So, in this video, we are going to break these false beliefs together.
>> [music] >> I am going to help you understand what is truly expected of you as a Christian woman in terms of personal image without heavy burdens and judgments. But, before we get to the root of this subject, I see messages and comments here, and I notice that some of you are not subscribed yet. So, please check if you are already subscribed. I would really appreciate it. It's simple, free, and anyone watching this right now can do it. You [music] are part of our story and belong with us. To understand why so many women live trapped in those two extremes I mentioned before, we need to go to the root. The Bible says in Galatians 4:7, "So, [music] you are no longer a slave, but God's child. Since you are [music] his child, God has made you an heir."
We are daughters. We have been adopted by a father who loves us, but we urgently need some mindset shift because [music] today we see Christian women acting not as daughters, but as orphans when presenting themselves to the world.
Let me be very honest with you. Need to overexpose your body about empowerment.
It is, in fact, a clear [music] symptom of a spiritual orphanhood. Think about it. A woman who is not that she has a father who loves her unconditionally lives with an enormous void. And [music] to try to fill this void, she ends up using the currency the world says that has value, [music] her own body. She screams for attention through revealing clothes because deep [music] down she believes the lie that she only has value if she is attracting the gaze of others. But do you know what else is our orphanhood? Carelessness. An orphan has no sense of inheritance.
>> [music] >> She doesn't feel worthy of honor. That's why this woman settles for neglect.
[music] She wears just anything, uses old, stained clothes, or accepts wearing only what is left [music] over because deep down in her subconscious, she believes that she doesn't deserve good things.
She has lost the sense of [music] her own worth. We need to heal this urgently. Your image cannot be a reflection of someone begging for attention or [music] accepting crumbs, but rather the reflection of a daughter who knows exactly who her father is and who will understand that what her father tells her to do is absolutely [music] the best for her. Listen, think about this with me for a second. If [music] we are daughters of the king of the universe, we represent him, right? If you look at the ambassadors and representatives [music] of the most powerful nations in the world, there is an entire dress code, a massive care on how they present themselves precisely because they do not represent only themselves. Imagine then if carelessness should be a part of the image of a daughter and representative of the king of kings. It makes no sense, right? And when we understand this identity of ours, our [music] internal qualities perfectly match our exterior. A very practical example of this is Kate Middleton. She is a beautiful example of a woman with unmistakable presence. She has [music] immense beauty and definitely does not need nudity or any vulgarity to get the right kind of attention when she enters in a room. Do you know why? Because elegance and class >> [music] >> do not scream for attention. They simply command the presence. But look, take a weight off your shoulders right now.
[music] Elegance doesn't mean you need to wear super classic, formal, and expensive clothes all the time. [music] Not at all. Women are different and with that it's obvious [music] that our personal style also change. A woman's style has everything to do with her personality. The word of God says it so in 1 Corinthians 12 that we are different members of the same body, each with our own gifts and uniqueness. God made you unique. [music] And what should be common to all of us, whether you are more creative, basic, romantic, is respect [music] and modesty. And modesty is nothing more than your dignity. [music] So how do you build an appropriate image for a woman of God in practice? Let's understand a little bit about the Proverbs 31 woman and what we can learn from her today.
When we read about the Proverbs 31 woman, we immediately focus on her heart, on how hard she works, and how she cares for her family. And all of that is just wonderful. But have you ever noticed that the Bible itself makes [music] a point of being very clear about her external attributes? Yes.
She's described [music] as a woman who values quality, visual polish, care for her own appearance. [music] So, I ask you, if we would just strive for a heart, a [music] conduct, and a personality like hers, why not also strive for that same care with our image, [music] just as she was described?
Text say exactly this in verse 22. Her clothing is fine linen and purple. Guys, this is so profound. Back then, fine linen was a noble fabric that represented durability, comfort, and extreme care for the garment. And what about the color purple? It was a rare dye used by royalty. In other words, her choice [music] wasn't just about financial ostentation.
It was about the excellence and quality of what she chose to put in her own body. She didn't just wear anything. So, knowing all of this, it's time to take action. I am going to give you right now the ultimate [music] practical steps that will end, once for all, that anxiety of opening a packed [music] closet and feeling like you have nothing to wear. And your first practical step is to do a closet detox. [music] From today on, we are going to base your wardrobe on three pillars: [music] quality, personal style, and modesty.
You'll need to remove from [music] your closet those piece of terrible quality that are peeling, full of holes, worn [music] out, and especially those vulgar pieces that are exposing you unnecessarily. If a piece doesn't communicate your style, if it gives off a careless image, or [music] if it doesn't reflect the dignity of a daughter of the Most High, it no longer deserves to take up your space. And I'm going to teach you right now if the piece has quality. The secret is in the inner label. Every garment comes with one. Make it an habit to always read the composition and give preference to the natural fibers and good finishes. And pay close attention to this. A clean and organized closet will bring you peace.
When you remove the excess, you will gain the clarity [music] to choose and see exactly that pieces that you truly love and you will wear in your everyday life. The second and practical step is to focus in timeless pieces. [music] Besides ensuring quality, you won't get tired to use them, I guarantee. They are incredibly versatile and easily adapt to our style changes. And look, if your budget is a bit tight right now, that's absolutely no problem. [music] You just need to be a smart and prefer quality. Go to thrift stores, [music] take advantage of good finds in fast fashion stores that sell clothes with good fabrics. But avoid at all costs [music] buying those 100% polyester piece or flimsy knits. Quality's not about label, it's about the smart composition of the garment. The third [music] step is be more feminine. Don't worry, being feminine doesn't mean wearing childish clothes or fill your hair with bows. The true femininity is found in lightness. Dresses of different styles and cuts can convey this message beautifully. A lighter, natural-looking makeup [music] and well-done nails bring out this feminine atmosphere and make you look much more beautiful. And if you're married, you can be [music] absolutely sure that your husband will find you much more attractive when he sees you embracing your femininity in such an elegant and mature way.
Now, [snorts] we need to get [music] into a very important subject. The step four is to maintain modesty in every environment. It's useless to talk about modesty and dignity on a daily basis >> [music] >> if when the weekend comes, you go to the beach wearing a tiny bikini. [music] Think honestly with me.
Why showing off your body at the beach like that? Bikinis have the exact shape as [music] underwear. A woman of God needs to be conscious about dressing modestly at the beach, >> [music] >> at the gym, or anywhere else the world says it's okay to show your body. Your body is precious. It is exclusive to your husband or your future husband if you don't have one yet. And in speaking of environment, how have you been dressing to go to the church? In the house of the Lord, we must have reverence and respect. And look, [music] I want to put myself in your shoes right now. Before I worked as an image consultant and personal stylist, right at the beginning of my Christian walk, >> [music] >> I confess that I also had no idea how to dress up for a church service. I would end up feeling tense when it [music] was time to go to church, always having that fear of being inadequate or not being dressed properly for the occasion.
>> [music] >> But what set me was understanding and applying the following mental exercise.
[music] How would you dress if you had a face-to-face appointment to schedule [music] with your father, the Lord God?
That is exactly how, with [music] that level of honor and love, he would like you to think when choosing an outfit before leaving home. Finally, avoid the excess. [music] We cannot rely solely on the outfits we wear or place our trust [music] and worry in them as if they are the most important thing in the world.
Balance is the key. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 31:25 that the woman of God is clothed with strength and dignity.
She laughs [music] at the future. Pay close attention to this. She can laugh at what is to come because her true faith and confidence [music] are firmly rooted in the Lord, not in earthly things or appearances. Make it an habit to take care of yourself, but make seeking God's presence in your life your top priority so that your personal image truly reflects that inner peace.
