And even more than the than the Netflix version, I like that it's a it's very much like a Batman Joker kind of thing where it's like they're two sides of the same coin, like they they show different parts of New York, you know? Um, Naruto Anime 16 says, "I'm aware that Daredevil has other villains uh in his Rogues gallery. Uh, but just for the sake of the MCU as a whole, I hope Fisk is in prison and other villains." Uh, same with Spider-Man.

[00:26:14]>> Oh, defenders. They have to go watch that. And they're like, "Denders? Who the f look at these guys?" They have to go watch all the others. You know, it's got to be intimidating, I guess, to catch up.

[00:26:22]>> Which I suppose that's why they were trying to do the Born Again. Originally, it was going to be a whole different Matt Murdoch and Kingpin, like the MCU version, not the you know, there were going to be a whole >> different thing, but >> that didn't happen. So yeah, they do have that problem now. I suppose for for new watch not a problem for me.

[00:26:40]>> I I was going to say like I feel like it's a good problem to have.

[00:26:44]>> I don't know if it's a issue in this show. Like I think you could watch this without having to have all that.

[00:26:50]>> Mhm.

[00:26:51]>> But it gives you extra stories. I think it's kind of like honestly it's kind of like picking up a comic series.

[00:26:57]>> Sure.

[00:26:57]>> Right. And you're like oh here's this one. I'm going to read the Daredevil Born Again comic line. And then you're like, "Oh, well, there is connections to the old Daredevil comics that we, you know, I don't have access to those right now, but here's what I have."

[00:27:07]>> And you can do it like Star Wars where there's just so many >> on-ramps.

[00:27:11]>> Yeah. And like you can watch something, but if you watch this before that, it gives you a different kind of context that you wouldn't have had, you know, or whatever.

[00:27:17]>> Sure. Like if you just watch this, you don't really understand why that painting is so important.

[00:27:22]>> Sure. Yeah.

[00:27:23]>> But it's how Vanessa and and he met, you know? I'm curious to see about the Luke thing because like if you hadn't watched any of that stuff like when they say like you know Luke you're like oh who's Luke?

[00:27:36]>> Yeah.

[00:27:36]>> And like you said too is like why is that one important to Jessica?

[00:27:40]>> Mhm.

[00:27:41]>> Like is there a relation to the kid? Is it just like they were friends and stuff so she just you know how you might have a relation with a lot of these people who are like the other powered people that like you worked with you know I don't know >> you can relate easier with them you know.

[00:27:58]The uh the Heather and Karen scene was intense, but that depth of field background muse thing like got me. Whoa, what the [ __ ] >> Yeah, that was great.

[00:28:09]>> That one got me. So, you can just we can literally just see through the cracks in her and see what's peering out.

[00:28:19]>> That's crazy.

[00:28:20]>> We had Brett show it for a second.

[00:28:23]>> Yeah, Mahoney. I was so happy with that, man. What's uh what was the name of the guy that showed up in all the ones that was like a small arms dealer? Do you remember the guy? I can't remember his name right now, but he was in all the Defender shows at one point.

[00:28:37]>> Like half the time his hand was broken, right?

[00:28:39]>> Yeah.

[00:28:41]>> Yeah. Cuz they would always get information out.

[00:28:42]>> I can see his face, but I can't think of his name.

[00:28:46]>> trunk or something cuz it was Potter, who was the the costume maker.

[00:28:52]>> Turk Barrett. See, I heard it said Turk and you immediately got his last name.

[00:28:56]>> Turk bear. I want to see what happened to Turk. He was last seen in the Defender verse being held hostage by a ninja cult.

[00:29:06]>> I like that. Uh Bullseye went to save the governor.

[00:29:09]>> I think it's a good way to be like, "Hey, this gets you out of my hair." But also, if you do this, it will screw Fisk.

[00:29:15]>> And that's what you're after, right?

[00:29:16]Like, let's do that. And it helps the whole thing. And you get to kill someone he's sending.

[00:29:21]>> Mhm. Who do they send? cuz that guy got through all the operational security of Albany, the capital.

[00:29:29]>> Um I don't know. I mean, I don't know how secure her building was there.

[00:29:33]>> Probably more secure than just than a Hilton.

[00:29:35]>> That's just her home.

[00:29:37]>> Is it?

[00:29:37]>> I don't know cuz like you need a key to go up the elevator.

[00:29:42]>> Yeah, I suppose.

[00:29:42]>> And up the stairs and stuff in a Hilton, right?

[00:29:46]>> I don't know. I don't know. Bullseye was in there.

[00:29:48]>> He was I wonder how long he was in there like hiding. Like cuz he was he there for like >> two days.

[00:29:54]>> Yeah. I don't know. And it looked like he like threw it and it bounced off the chandelier and got him and stuff too and I couldn't even see him.

[00:30:01]>> He was around the corner.

[00:30:02]>> So I don't know. But yeah, I like that.

[00:30:05]>> I like Matt doing lawyer stuff though.

[00:30:07]We didn't get too much lawyer stuff.

[00:30:08]>> Yeah, we didn't get too much, but I was happy to see it.

[00:30:10]>> I don't It's also not like a It's not like your typical like courtroom. It's not like there's a jury that he's working trying to talk to. Though I did love the idea of like there's no jury here. It's like is there >> are you sure about that?

[00:30:22]>> There's like the cameras and stuff and it's like if we can get the city to start questioning some of these things that are going on like question what you're being told like look why is this guy going into Matt Murdoch's place?

[00:30:33]Isn't that weird? A welfare check with ARs and personnel carriers. Like isn't that weird?

[00:30:40]Mhm.

[00:30:41]>> I wonder if it's intentional that they're shooting the the courtroom stuff, orienting the judges on the right and then the lawyers on the left. Cuz I feel like in Daredevil, we've always had the lawyers like oriented to the right and the judges and witnesses and stuff are on the left. You know how like in uh battle scenes, they'll often there's like a trope of like, well, the good guys come from this direct this direction, the bad guys go this way. I wonder if it's been intentionally flipped to show like that the courts are different now, like they are not to be trusted or something like that.

[00:31:16]>> Yeah. I mean, they haven't shot the courtroom from the left hand side like at all except for >> Yeah.

[00:31:22]>> I thought it was more of like lots of times the jury's on that side. So, you're shooting that way to also have the jury in shot. And in this way, we're on the side where the jury typically would be and we're seeing the process that's being done.

[00:31:32]>> Yeah, that could be it too. I just I'm trying to remember all the, you know, the trial scenes that we've seen. And I feel like it's always been the other way. It certainly was cuz I I recently rewatched within the last week the uh the trial of Frank Castle.

[00:31:46]>> And I love the moment where uh Matt goes, "Frank, can I call you Frank?" And Frank's like, because it's exactly what Daredevil said to him. I love that moment of him realizing and he is oriented to the left in that shot.

[00:32:01]>> You think Buck will shift at all? You think this no >> makes any change in Buck?

[00:32:07]It might make him question a bit more of like >> I hope so >> how he's being used and like what his like long-term uh I don't know goal or or fate might be.

[00:32:26]>> Feel like I can see Buck changing more than Heather.

[00:32:31]>> Yeah, I Well, I feel like we're seeing Heather change.

[00:32:36]No, I mean against Fisk.

[00:32:38]>> Oh, against Yeah. Like I don't care about like they might become a vigilante villain or whatever.

[00:32:45]>> Buck doesn't seem like his like her like she's cracking.

[00:32:49]>> Oh yeah, >> sure.

[00:32:50]>> I don't know if Buck is like cracked and has dealt with being cracked before or he just had never done it. But I don't know.

[00:32:58]>> He he has a lot more sunk cost fallacy in terms of what he's done for Fisk.

[00:33:04]>> Sure. But I mean that is the >> the idea of like when is it that you're the one with the gun against your head kind of thing. Like I think that something like that there's something that could like shift him away from Fisk. Um especially since he just kind of like has done work for hire for a long time anyway. Like >> he just do something else or work for someone else.

[00:33:24]>> Whereas Heather I feel like is kind of in you know.

[00:33:28]>> Sure.

[00:33:28]>> And also broken. So it >> she has a very uh like I don't know public career.

[00:33:35]>> Mhm. Like I could see Buck almost in the bullseye sense of like bullseye shifting, you know? Maybe not exactly the same but closer to something like that than I could Heather >> or like trying to do something good.

[00:33:47]>> What's the guy? Is it Pal? Whatever the one guy is.

[00:33:49]>> Yeah.

[00:33:50]>> And like in charge of ABTF.

[00:33:52]>> Yeah. He is perfectly casted cuz every time I see him like [ __ ] [ __ ] I'm so mad if I see him. All right. All right.

[00:33:59]Well, it was, like you said, it's good to get Brett back. It's cool that Jessica came back in there.

[00:34:04]There was a lot of like highs. There's a lot of lows. And I'll miss Daniel.

[00:34:14]>> And what does he have? What does she have? Cuz she had the SD card and some things like I wonder if she has stuff that can be pushed out.

[00:34:38]>> I mean, he gave her the phone and stuff, but >> he did give her the phone, >> but that was his phone. That was her phone. It wasn't his phone.

[00:34:44]>> But he had also taken away her SD card and stuff, too. And >> yeah, I don't know. I was just curious if like she got any more from him that could have been >> Yeah. I mean, it would have been maybe he has like a a death mailer like upon my death this gets mailed out or something. I don't know.
