You should be familiar with all these questions. But just in case of an issue with how to work out a question, I'm just going through them with you. If there's something that you don't understand, you let me know. Students online, same thing goes for you. All right. So we're going to go through these functions. How many pages? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. And not all the pages are full. So we should be able to get through these fairly quickly. Then we look at the 2026 paper, 2025 paper, 2024 paper break, and then we come back and do that. I might just run into the vectors after this one. All right, because we have not yet done vectors. All right, let's go. So within functions, relations and graph relations, function and graph given that y varies directly at x is a direct variation and y = 19 when x= 5 152 which of the following equation represents the relationship.
So what it is is that we're going to say y directly directly as x. It means that y is equal to a constant * x and what it is you're going to use the sphere of values to get an expression for the constant. So based on this if you divide by the x the constant is going to be y / the x that's what the constant is going to be using these values the constant becomes um the y 19 over 152.
And so this equation now this relationship becomes y = 19 over 152 times the x.
All right. And the question is which one of these is it 192 1 8 or is it 1 to 1?

So the value that you want is approximately 6 * 31 but actually less. This is the closest value to 6 * 31.
6 * the 30 180 181. But remember this value was less. So you're looking for a value close to that. You don't have to actually work it out. But I could work it like this. This value is approximately 30. This one approximately 30. So say the L is approximately equal to 31 over 5 * changes to 30.
But we know it's going to actually be less than this. We increase that to 30 just to make the calculation a little bit easier. And then going to say, okay, 5 into this go one time. 5 into that go six times. 6 * 31 would be 186 right but it's actually 6 * 29 you do so it's a value less than 186 close to 180 this is the one that it has to be right that is it so I would know that that is the answer right here this value is almost 30 right so like that you go So to be um 31 * 29 / 5. Yes, that is the correct answer.
