After total hip replacement surgery, patients can achieve significant mobility improvements within days, including walking without a walker and performing daily activities, though recovery requires patience, proper rehabilitation techniques like compression therapy and structured walking, and avoiding rushing the healing process to prevent complications.

Total Hip Replacement Vlog Ep. 4 - Up and Walking!
Added:All right, look at that. Gate's good, standing up straight.
It's weird because it's just a little bit swollen.
But it feels pretty damn good.
So I'm getting my walk in.
Slept great last night. Was able to um sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs on my right side and then hop off to the back.
So other than that sleep is good. Sleep is really good.
Um woke up this morning. Katie made some protein pancakes.
Took a fat dump, which felt really good.
And I'm feeling great. Like I feel so good right now. They told me I need this stupid walker for 2 weeks. This morning I felt like I don't need this. So I was walking in the laundry room to get my pills in the morning.
And uh Katie was like yeah, Katie just started yelling at me.
So like the doctor said, the big issue with people like me is going too fast. So Katie's here to slow me down. But luckily all I got is Cartman behind the camera right now.
My son Preston. He looks like Eric Cartman.
Uh and he's he's not going to say [ __ ] cuz I'll beat his ass. Right, Preston?
>> Yeah.
>> Actually you could beat my ass right now. Actually the way you've been wrestling you'd probably beat my ass normally, too.
But the reason I'm so happy I got this hip is so I could kick higher. So when you get taller I could kick your ass. That's what I'm going to do. But no, life's good. I'm blessed.
This is amazing. Like you wouldn't imagine that I'm able to walk with a brand new hip.
Like just plug and play.
3 days later like I get rid of this thing.
Right? And I I got decently good gait.
Like I'm able to walk okay.
Able to go backwards.
You know, and fact that this is 3 days afterwards, brand new total hip is pretty freaking awesome. Don't tell Katie I did that.
Um but it's awesome.
My recovery, I've been using the Marc Pro um as much as I can. Every time I'm on the couch I use that.
And for about 30 minutes multiple times a day I'll put on compression sleeves on my legs. What are those called? The uh Normatec type boots. Mine are the off-brand. Sharper Image. Same thing.
It's compression. Feel like 100 bucks on walmart.com now, by the way.
But um so I've been using those.
Swelling's come down a lot.
Which is getting rid of a lot of discomfort.
I'll keep the compression socks on for a couple weeks.
But um my goal now is 15 minutes of doing this um today couple times two three times a day. That's 45 minutes of walking.
Just in my back in my back pa- back patio. That's So check it out. So look at the hydrangeas.
Those are gorgeous.
I love this time of the year because hydrangeas bloom.
Trees are blooming. We got the forest in the back.
Really love this time of year. But um so the goal today, real quick, 15 minutes three times walking. I got it I got the timer going on my Apple Watch.
And compression sleeves, Marc Pro, and get better. But I feel so much better.
So that's my third walk. 45 plus minutes of cardio. I'm actually working up a sweat.
Probably only about 2,000 steps because I'm walking really, really slow.
Still some pain in the hip. The swelling because you know, the compression boots and the Marc Pro, it's going down.
Peptides are flowing. So until Thursday I'm just on SS-31 and Glow.
Um and that's from nextgenpeptides.shop.
Coupon code lowbliner. Look, man, I'll get getting by these guys. I'm talking about these guys for a while that and peptidepro.io.
Um coupon codes are there for me to use.
That's my coupon.
So again, I'm not I'm not one of these guys just making money. I believe in peptides. I truly do. I don't need I don't need the bag to promote these things because I truly believe they help. And Dan over at Next Gen, he helped me out with the whole schedule what to take, when to take it. Um all that stuff I can't talk about here because again, don't take them. They're for research purposes only. But I think it's going to greatly enhance my recovery alongside the red light and the Marc Pro and the compression boots and the walking and having Bryce from Legacy, you know, helping with my rehab. So everything's going well. Um so we're on day three. It's Sunday. Had surgery Thursday.
Um couldn't be going better. Starting to get some good strides in, good walks like we talked about before. I'm pooping, which is great.
Uh yeah, today just watched us Spain win the World Cup. Got a lot of work done.
Got all my reports done for the week.
And next week I have like tomorrow, I got meetings from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
straight. Why not? And then um I'll get with Bryce during the day to get some rehab in, get my walks in. I only need 15 minutes and I'll come out here.
Again, I don't have the biggest space.
Here's where I'm walking there to there.
But again, I'm just pacing back and forth like I got some kind of a attention deficit disorder or something.
Which I probably do.
But nonetheless, um it's on and it feels good. It feels good. It's starting to feel really good.
So I'm excited about it. I'm really excited about this new hip. For those of you who are like, "Can you squat again?" Dude, here's the thing. It's going to be better than the hip I had. The hip I had was bone on bone. I had no mobility. I couldn't squat full depth anymore anyway.
It is what it is. What caused it? Oh, the steroids. Just shut up.
Like you're stupid. You're making yourself sound stupid.
I literally had shallow hip sockets.
I should have probably had this done in my late 20s.
And if you recall, if you followed me, I didn't even start TRT until I was in my I think I was 28.
This shit's been going on forever. I've been dealing with it if you've watched this channel, low back pain, low back pain fixed, hip pain, hip pain fixed. It would come and go. And then it got to the point where it just didn't go anymore.
And that's when I finally got the the I got imaging before, got x-rays, but it was in the advanced imaging that we realized, oh, this is FUBAR.
So, for those of you guys like oh, well, it's it's the squats. No, I haven't heavy squatted in years, probably a decade. Oh, it's the deadlifts. No, no, that's I'm not even going below parallel on there. It's a I use the hex bar with the raised handles.
What it is is sometimes like the doctor told me, he's like, God made all his creatures perfect except for my hip.
