Why Your Float Switch Fails When You Need It Most

[00:00:00]Hey guys, I'm going to take you on along on a call. Um, actually I fixed it when I was just looking at the air handler and I did not know it. But, uh, it's a very easy fix, very simple call.

[00:00:15]But today's been kind of frustrating. I had a commercial call with one of those Ethernet enabled thermostats that's controlled by somebody like in Delaware or something and I could not get the thing to come on.

[00:00:30]trouble with tech support. Uh, that was frustrating. But the call I'm going to show you, the reason I'm showing it to you is because it's an interesting house.

[00:00:59]>> You can change your filter here or we can we can put a filter grill out there now.

[00:01:04]>> No, this is that'd be harder. This is easier. Can you make this thing easier to take off and put on or >> um What do you mean?

[00:01:12]>> I don't know. Just figured I'd throw a question out there. Probably the answer is no. You know, I guess there's two thumb screws I have to remove.

[00:02:10]All right. So, the problem I found was this float switch right here was leaning to the side and um the float will not float if it's banging up against the side of this little cylinder right here.

[00:02:30]All right, let's see if we can figure out why it's not coming on.

[00:03:24]All right. This is I'm pretty sure this is the one I just turned on.

[00:03:39]Ow. Oh my word. There's a holly tree right there.

[00:03:54]All right, let me go get my gauges or my approach. Aren't you sweet? Yes, you are. You so sweet.

[00:04:32]Oh, I just love holly bushes and trees. They are just so pleasant to have around.

[00:05:40]Actually, considering the temperatures right now, it is 63° out here and is about the same inside.
