[00:00:09]The Black Lion parts five and six have officially been released and are currently showing.

[00:00:29]>> [snorts] >> Now, let's get into this review. The Black Lion parts five and six are serving us nothing but pure Nollywood drama, power, betrayal, and raw emotion.

[00:00:41]And honestly, it did not disappoint. We open with the kingdom in absolute chaos following the mysterious death of the king.

[00:00:50]The grief is heavy, the tears are real, and the tension through the roof. The royal family is shattered. And what makes it even more heartbreaking is that nobody has a clear answer about what actually killed their beloved king. He simply went to bed and never woke up.

[00:01:12]And that alone sends chills down your spine. Now, here is where things get really interesting.

[00:01:19]In the middle of all this morning, the elders and the traditional prime minister are trying to maintain order, but ambition doesn't sleep. Ozumba, our complicated and highly controversial lead character, still has his eyes locked on the throne.

[00:01:36]But the council of chiefs have completely lost confidence in him, and rightfully so. This man has blood on his hands and chaos following him everywhere he goes.

[00:01:47]The standout moment for me personally was when Ozumba forcefully retrieved his father's casket from that sacred place.

[00:01:55]The boldness, the recklessness.

[00:01:58]But even after pulling off that dramatic move, the elders warned that touching that sacred ground would bring dangerous consequences upon him. Nollywood always finds a way to remind us power comes with a price.

[00:02:16]Princess Kamela's storyline added another layer of fire to this film. Her determination to stand by Ozumba despite tradition, despite warnings, and despite her own uncle's strong disapproval shows a woman deeply torn between love and loyalty.

[00:02:34]But is that love truly worth the destruction surrounding it? The betrayal themes running through these two parts are deep. Loyalties are shifting, alliances are breaking, and everyone seems to be fighting their own personal war while the kingdom bleeds. The action sequences, the machete-wielding moments, and those spiritual sacrifice scenes kept the energy electric from start to finish. Classic Nollywood delivering exactly what we love.
