Right in his yard ! 1700's stuff we are finding metal detecting OMGAdded:
Well, we are out at Nate's place detecting his cellar holes.
Love saying that.
We just walked into the back here and thought we saw a potential third cellar hole.
But, he turned it on and it was quiet around it.
But, it is in proximity of the other two.
Could be a caved-in well.
But, the wonderful thing about this whole thing is he has all the activity back here.
And if you didn't see the last couple videos, you definitely want to go back and check.
>> [laughter] >> It's not even a relic.
It's a.22 slug.
So, that's what we start with.
And as usual, outside of the edits, that took me like 4 minutes to find.
Were you wondering what was taking me so long with that?.22 slug?
>>.22 slug.
I thought so. Once I saw you moving, pick up, moving freaking things.
I've been hearing you pinpoint pinpoint for a bit.
Oh.
Horseshoe stuck in the roots.
Jeez, that's the size of the two before.
Yeah, it's a little thicker though. It is thicker.
Huh, cool.
Yeah.
It's loud.
You worked for that one. Yeah.
See what we got in here.
Yeah, the roots out here are brutal.
Oh, yeah. Look at that pair.
Hopefully, it's in the middle.
Nice.
So, how many oxen shoes are we up for the property?
Eight.
Well, here's a good signal in what's left of the chimney stack.
That's nice and solid.
All right, it's all rock.
Actually, that didn't even sound too deep.
So, scrape it back a bit.
Yeah.
Don't think it's deep.
Look at that.
Wow.
Wow.
A very beautifully preserved Tombac button.
Surprising with how good it looks for not even being buried all that deep.
Ready?
2 in in the chimney stack and this is how it came out.
Wow. Right? If she's came out that shiny >> I barely had to wipe anything off of it.
Wow.
Fantastic, right? Beautiful. Yeah, so I think I'm going to pick around that a little bit and see what happens. Did you just take a walk out there? Any I I took a walk a little bit just to see what the land look like and Any sound?
Uh not not really, no.
No.
But, it looks promising. There you go.
>> [crying] >> Wow, you're right where I pulled uh mine. You just came in from this side. I came in from that side. Crazy, right?
Wow. Maybe it's a match.
Yeah, old poop right there.
Sounds like it.
Not very deep, huh?
>> Mine wasn't and it was it was right over here somewhere.
Wow, this was probably the sound of it.
There you go, buddy.
That's crazy, too, cuz I checked it just a while ago.
>> like it was long since >> God cares, so.
Whatever this is, I don't think it's what I was hearing.
Oh, you got part of a knife. Yeah.
Nice.
Oh, look at that.
It's the back end of the blade.
>> Yep.
Good find. Jeez, always in the chimney stack, right? Yeah, I wonder if I was hitting the edge of it.
Seemed like it was further away than what that other signal was. I got to check.
Yeah. Wow, huh? Bonus.
Yeah, it's right on where it was.
Oh, I see what it is. It's a little Oh. Oh.
Damn.
Oh, still amazing.
>> Oh, wow.
Crazy looking shoe buckle frame.
Fantastic.
>> Wow.
Look at that.
That's a beauty.
God, you got to love these old chimney stacks, huh? Unbelievable.
Always interesting and odd how a mixed batch of things always ended up in the stack of rocks where the chimney was.
Sick.
It literally came from over there, kicked one branch aside.
That ain't too bad.
Oh.
Glazed pottery.
And another button.
Awesome. Good combo and under this rock.
6 in. 6 in.
Well, 6 in down under a rock that was a button and piece of glazed pottery. Oh.
What you got?
You got a pretty good shape iron buckle. Oh.
Surprisingly, that's the first one.
Yeah.
So, that's cool. Yeah, it's still got the tongue in it. Nice.
Where are we? We're kind of directly in the middle of the two of them, huh?
>> Yeah.
Ah.
That was a nice easy plug for a change.
Probably missed. Nope.
Oh, wow.
That's unexpected.
It's a massive safety pin.
Safety pins can be very old.
So, the question, how old are safety pins? Invented and patented in 1849 by Walter Hunt.
What's that look for?
82 83? No.
This is where that last trip out you started out with that button right there.
Got to be careful with this one cuz there is some roots.
Oh my god. Look at that mess. It's absolute mess.
Well, at least we know if ever needed, you could run back and get your super saw. Yeah.
Oh, can me move it.
This sucks.
Yeah, I don't think it's a coin.
No.
Is it chocolate pewter or lead? Yeah.
>> [laughter] >> Well, that was exciting, right? That was pretty exciting.
There you go. Polish that turd.
That's a beauty.
Wow.
Close, Nate. You were close.
It's all right.
Sure is.
Under the fallen tree? Yeah. 85. It's kind of weird.
85's a good number, but Yeah, weird 85. Yeah.
Come on.
Come on.
A little bit of awesome show.
Like a small one. Yeah.
Need a rock guard? Uh no, I got plenty of ammo.
I got those.
22.
No, it is a thing.
Oh. It's really small.
It was a bit scratchy, but Oh.
Shoe buckle. Yeah.
Shoe buckle stuff.
Now, you knee buckle, maybe. Yeah, you There you go.
Either or. Buckle stuff. Well, that's it for this session at Nate's place.
And it was great once again.
We appreciate watching.
Come back next time and we'll do it again, right? Absolutely.
>> Oh, yeah.
