The reviewers use academic jargon to dress up a superficial critique, proving that high-brow terminology can't hide a lack of original insight. It’s a classic case of over-intellectualizing a simple disappointment to sound authoritative.

Drishyam 3 Movie Review | Better than Original? | Mohanlal | Jeethu Joseph | MeenaHinzugefügt:
Hello and welcome to India. Today I am Sanjay >> and this is Maruti Achara. We just completed watching Mallayalam cinema's most anticipated film of this year.
Actually Indian cinema's most anticipated film of this year. The film that I'm talking about is Dimam 3. If you completed watching the film, mention your review in the comment section below. Now quickly Sanjay your experience >> I tested my patience. I was bored for a bit. some moments of what disham is.
Some moments of the real disham and then mostly felt underwhelmed.
>> Okay. My experience of watching the film is uh ky story. So I used to play with rubber band when I was young in school.
Okay. And sometimes when you try to pull it a little too longer know the hit back it'll hit on your hand and it'll hurt.
>> Yeah.
>> You know watching Dishimri felt something like that. You know they stretched it a little too much in terms of capitalizing on the whole Dishium wave and it did hurt >> which makes me ask this question. Did they stretch it a sequel too long?
>> Let's get into the details.
>> Yeah.
>> Firstly, what works in the film?
>> What worked in the film even for a bit is the climax or the pre-climax.
>> There were some parts in the film which kind of were the twist that you expect from a Jito Joseph film. twist that you expect from a dish. A little bit of that was there towards the climax, the pre-climax when there were multiple things going on, planning and plaing and and on multiple teams by multiple people.
>> Whatever the story I cannot reveal you there's only so much that we can talk about uh >> major major spoilers. So I will try to refrain myself towards that whole part is when actually the film got any you know at least a little interesting. So that is a positive for me.
>> See for me though the buildup was extremely exhausting to for me I could see things coming from a mile away. I was really not mind blown when credit where credit is due. There is some merit in terms of writing especially those twists and those important moments that uh gets unraveled in the pre-climax portions and climax portions. That was interesting >> performances. performances and bow and lal of course the starting part of the film because of the story or the screenplay you do not get a lot but you can already feel what the director wants us to feel through Mohan lal's acting >> while everything else is going on there is this one character who is keeping it all for himself who is going through it who has multiple feelings he >> he is being protective as well but at the same time he is also be feeling the guilt he has that heavy heaviness in his So all of that was brilliantly conveyed by Moan Lal. So his performance was brilliant. Uh the rest of the cast also complimented nicely but mostly carried by Moan Lal in my opinion.
>> Yes. See Moan Lal George Kouti is an emotion uh for all of us who grew up watching Bushamri if I can put it that way. And in this film also again there is a lot of inner turmoil given to the character though whatever is happening which should ideally make you as audience feel tensed while watching the film and also George Kouti it was mostly George Kouti's performance moal as George Kouty who made us feel even an ounce of it where writing is not actually complimenting it. This is like majority portions of the film and again like we mentioned in the pre-climax and climax writing does its duty to some extent but till then it is largely moan lal who keeps the movie engaging and tries to communicate the idea of what the scene is supposed to speak.
>> Another positive on from a neutral note not particularly a positive for me but from a neutral note it might be that the film does have thriller elements. Maybe it is because of the expectation from a director like Ju Joseph or from a series like Disham that we might be feeling a little underwhelmed. Maybe it is the immense exposure to the genre of thrillers that we are currently going.
But at the end of the day for somebody who's watching it in abandoned it might still give a good experience.
>> Yeah. Now let's get to the demerits. The first and the biggest demerit is unfortunately writing. And I never thought I would say this for Dishim franchise Juu Joseph uh film the whole first half there is some amount of tension that Moanal's character is uh feeling but we as audience are not able to feel and the proceedings the way the screenplay goes the way the characters are introduced the way the story goes again once you come out of the theater you can think of a million ways this movie could have gone this character introduction should have been done before actually in the first half it really test your patience again interval. Okay, nice reveal.
Interesting. What is going to happen next? And again, it'll fall back to the same territory until the pre-climax.
>> Uh for series, for animes, there are these episodes which are just fillers in between, which doesn't really add to the story, but it's just there for to add another episode so that people can tune in and watch that weekend. It felt like the first half was a filler episode.
>> Yeah, >> I get it. The structure from the first part. Yes. Ending the first half to establish the family makes sense. We need to know our characters. We need to know who they are and what they represent. What kind of reactions justify when you know push comes to shove. Second part also that happened.
But by the climax I understood okay these seats were being dropped about what is happening. This is why we had to sit through the whole, you know, first, second, and third act so that the fourth act pays off the way it did. The first, second, and third act was still a little bit of a slugfest for me. But the fourth act pays off for the patience. Here, none of that was necessary. The first three acts which was going on, it especially the first two, it felt like it was just being stretched.
Whatever is being cooked in the background was never actually shown even a little bit or if it was shown it was so obvious what was going to happen at the end.
>> These kind of mistakes definitely did not expect from Disham.
>> Yeah. Another demerit of the film is underutilization of characters.
>> Again Dishium one or two. Yeah we love George Kouti but beyond that the world is pretty big. You connect with every character you understand the most. It feels like a world lived but unfortunately in Dishim 3 that's not the case. Most of the characters again there is a it is a thriller still so we can't give spoilers there's a journalist character there is a fiance character again everything suddenly fits conveniently and you don't feel anything for any character because they are not explored again if it is a screenplay choice to reveal it and the end that was also not tastefully done. So there were interesting ideas and characters but because of the screenplay choices and the way they have prioritized some things and the way they have let go of some things is why you feel like there is no connect between you and the film.
>> It also doesn't feel like I watched anything new.
>> It feels quite repetitive as well. Most of the plot points that have been taken here it's like the clothes have changed but the body is the same from the second part.
for again no spoilers but it feels like that. So uh there's not a lot of points that we can offer for creativity as well.
>> Yes, overall it was a mess is how I would put it. I had lot of expectations from this film Ju Moandas again giving benefit of doubt it could be my expectations also. So you do chime in your thoughts in the comment section below as to what were your thoughts about the film. But other than some moments in the pre-climax and climax and interval like barring few moments overall the movie is underwhelming to say the least.
>> Yeah. Uh even from a technical standpoint while Malalam cinema has a standard that it maintains this one is pretty standard. It didn't really offer anything new or different or modern.
>> Uh music also was music did not help.
Music was making the screenplay and the story a little more of a bore than it already was. So that too did not help.
>> Yeah. A group cinematography was also standard.
>> Yeah. So basically it it could be something of an average. It was underwhelming personally but it could be something of an average thriller film at the tops.
>> Yeah. And we are also going to get public reaction. Do not miss that. Do like, share and subscribe. We do reviews, reactions, analysis, decoding videos. Lot of content on the channel.
Please do subscribe. At that time and this is Maruti Achara.
>> You're watching India today.
