In criminal cases involving domestic violence, courts impose sentences that include prison time, fines, court costs, and restitution to victims, while also considering factors such as the defendant's time already served in custody; victims have the right to seek restitution, but may choose to waive this right, and accomplices can face separate charges for their involvement in the crime.
