How These Two Friends Make $30k A Month OnlineAdded:
In today's video, we will be going over the 7-month journey that Lars and Aiden went through to build their own $30,000 a month lead generation agency. So, 7 months ago, they came to us. They told us, "Hey, we want to build a lead generation agency. We want to make some money online." And they wanted help with it. So, we did, right? And we we helped them figure out a really good niche for them to be in. We helped them create the offer. We helped them fill their calendar and get a bunch of leads, close a bunch of deals, fulfill for the clients, and all these all these sorts of things. And now, 7 months later, they are running an amazing agency with really dialed-in fulfillment. Most of it is done by AI. They have one employee who is doing a lot of sales for them.
And they are just running an amazing amazing business, taking into consideration that they're only 7 months deep into their journey. And the craziest thing, neither one of them had any previous business experience. They are freshly graduated, and they just wanted to get into the business and and start making some money. So, that's what we did. They were kind enough to do a do a quick interview with me, explain a little bit about their journey, what kind of sales they did, what we did together with them. So, I hope this is going to be valuable for you if you're planning on building your own AI lead generation agency, or just maybe you're already doing it and you just want to see what other people are doing, who are absolutely winning in the game. So, let's get into it. Yo, welcome in everyone. Today here we have Lars and Aiden from The Headline Theory. They've been working with us for the last 7 months, and they've come on here to share a bit of their experience and results they've had with uh with working with us uh at at Agent Velocity. So, thank you guys for hopping on. How you doing? Doing well. Doing well. How are you, Lavi? Doing absolutely fantastic.
Super super uh big pleasure to have you guys here. But yeah, just to kick it off, you mind giving a quick background breakdown of who you guys are and what kind of business do you run, and yeah, everything that you you feel is relevant. Yeah, absolutely. I'll go first, and Lars can add on. Yeah, quick background um about me is just going to be I was an environmental studies major, so completely unrelated. It's not in the marketing space at all before I got into this. Man, am I glad that I did. At the end of the day, it has been one of the best decisions that I've ever made, and yeah, basically we started this lead generation agency about 7 months ago um with pretty much zero experience. We started at ground zero, both Lars and I.
Lars will tell you more about his background in a second, but we both had no experience, and we just took a leap of faith by joining this course, learning from Levi, um and we were able to scale up surprisingly fast, I think, for ourselves and just in the grand scheme of things, as well. It's been a great experience so far. Lars, how are you? Um I mean, so I, like Aiden, didn't study business or sales or marketing or any sort of related fields, computer science, like anything related to it at all. I studied uh civil and structural engineering, and we both graduated uh last spring, and kind of like, I don't know, traveled around trying to figure out what we wanted to do, and we both knew we kind of wanted to start our own thing, and this seemed like a really good opportunity to do it uh and to just kind of learn how to actually build a sustainable business, get clients, uh do that whole thing, and it's been an incredible experience so far.
>> That's sick. So, one thing that I think is uh really interesting, 7 months ago, obviously we started working together, and you had this case where you pretty much, when we started, like you had nothing in terms of the agency. Like you started purely from scratch, which is obviously great for us, cuz then we could just like build everything up from the ground, like really well. What had happened before that, or had you done anything, or looked into any different kind of business that you could run, or how did you end up to the point where you decided, "Okay, we're going to go and build a lead generation agency, and we're going to work with these guys."
How did you end up there? Yeah, great question. So, basically, I had two friends from, you know, university that both went through uh Agency Velocity, and now both run very successful agencies, and I was just like I knew I wanted to like kind of start my own business and have the freedom to kind of like travel, kind of take the business in the direction that that I wanted to go. And so I talked to them, and they're like, "Yeah, I mean, I would they recommended Agency Velocity." They had nothing but great things to say about it, and obviously I could see that they were like making real money, having a real business. And then I kind of Aiden and I had the plan to to travel around South America in the fall. And I told him like, "Hey dude, like I don't have like any money right now. Like it's it's pretty bad. Uh so I can't just travel around South America, but I'm going to go I'm going to start this this lead generation agency. Uh like if you're interested in joining, you're more than welcome to." And Aiden was like, "Yeah, I'm down. That sounds sick." And then we started it. That's [ __ ] fire. That is That is really cool.
That is really cool.
Um okay, that's dope. So now, 7 months later, what's the what's the situation looking like? What kind of an agency have you managed to build in these short 7 months? How many clients? What kind of revenue are you looking at? What kind of team are you looking at? What What does the business look like? Yeah, we basically have built up a team of just Lars and I for quite a while. Um we were doing everything ourselves, and we went from, you know, negative income at the beginning to now doing 30,000 a month.
Um that has been extremely rewarding and also like one of the hardest things that Lars and I have ever done. I would not say it's easy or for the faint of heart.
Um it's definitely something that took a long time, and there is times when you're just like, "Damn, this is hard."
But having a support system, people hold you accountable in AV has been huge. Um I would say the accountability at the end of the day is what has really kept us here, just coming back every single day, doing it, and then kind of seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, realizing that, you know, I could actually just pay somebody to do this for me now, this aspect of the business that we've been working 16 hours a day on. Um so right now we are at one employee who's doing sales related stuff, appointment setting, and we are also planning to bring on at least one more over this next month right now. That's fire. Anything to add, Lars? To that? Um I guess just yeah, we're at we we hit 30k during the month of April, which was a huge milestone for us. Um for the first for the first probably like four months I would say we were sitting around like 5k or less. Um and then we kind of just hit this like inflection point where we we just started like scaling like crazy over the past like two or three months. Um and super cool is it's like that you can definitely get down when you're making, you know, 5k a month split between two of us. You're [laughter] like, "Oh my god, bro. Like this sucks." But you just got to like I don't know, you just got to stick with it. And now like as I said, we're at I think 15 clients, 14 or 15 clients. And yeah, 30k a month.
That's nice. What do you think caused the inflection point? Because it wasn't like you started suddenly working a lot harder.
Like cuz obviously like from the day one, you guys have been extremely locked in, grinding really hard. So what do you think changed that made that like inflection growth happen? Um I think I think it really just came from like just just absorbing knowledge. And it that takes a long time, and we came in obviously with no knowledge, so pretty much all we had like the first like three or four months was just like the ability to grind and like work super hard. And then once we started getting knowledge, it's like once you have the knowledge, you have a little bit more leverage, and you don't have to work quite as hard to get better results because you've accumulated just like knowledge from being in the business. Um and so I think I think that's been kind of the the main thing is just like we show up to like pretty much every weekly call. Like we like look at stuff in the Slack. We're always like on YouTube looking at different different resources trying to learn as much as we can. And eventually you just absorb enough information where like you're not having to like just like work so unbelievably hard and put so much mental effort into everything.
Um which then just gives you just a whole lot more leverage to work with.
Yeah, I agree. I think this is a perfect example of like a proper hockey stick growth growth curve where like obviously for the first like 4 months, of course stuff was happening, but it wasn't anything crazy, right? As you said like you were doing a 5K a month and then like next month it's 15 and then next month it's 30, right? And it's like you really didn't change much in the business. It was just like few unlocks of like okay, let's start focusing more on that appointment setting side.
Etc. Etc. Dope.
Um so one question that I think really interesting is obviously 12 months ago you made the decision of okay, we'll we'll build the business, we'll become entrepreneurs, right? And and like we'll start building this thing. Um and you went from like being in Brazil, I think so, right? You were in Brazil and you were just like grinding there making pretty much no money, making negative income and now like few months later you're doing 30,000 a month. Obviously still a pretty pretty small business, but of course like growth like that has like changes things. Have you seen any changes in your life building this business to 30,000 a month? Has it impacted your like the way you feel or the way you act or things you're able to do or has anything changed from like a mental or like a any side of things doing it?
Absolutely. Yeah. I would say the consistency that's taken to get to this point. Yeah, I've worked hard at things a lot of times in my life, but not quite as hard as this. I would say the consistency is really something that's trans transferred just over to my everyday life as well because I work every day, basically, right now. Um And so, like, scheduling, consistency, uh just going about your day in kind of a ordered or systematic way has definitely improved, you know, how I go about things. And also, critical thinking. I would say that I have learned a lot about critical thinking through this experience of building a business, um more than I ever learned in school or any other past experience, honestly. Um yeah, I would say that's kind of how it's affected my day-to-day life now in a positive way, for sure. It's just the consistency aspect of it. Um and yeah, one last thing, also just, like, your mindset around making money and going out and doing your own thing. Lars and I have talked about this a lot, but, you know, we both feel like we could go out and make it happen now. Like, regardless of what it is, if you're willing to work hard, you can make it happen. Um which has been really cool, really rewarding.
That's kind of a mindset shift that I've definitely held on to through this whole process. Lars?
Yeah, I would definitely I would definitely agree with the just the mindset around money has really has like really shifted for me cuz like I've always worked different different jobs throughout my life, which like there's nothing wrong with that at all, but um now it's like I have this like confidence that I can go out and make money completely on my own, independent of anyone else, uh which is like something that I didn't really know existed before, I guess. Um And like just that ability, like, I don't know, it feels I feel like it gives me a lot more confidence that like if [ __ ] did hit the fan, that like I would be able to figure it out and make it happen uh one way or another, which is definitely a cool a cool kind of mindset shift to have. Yeah, I agree. It's like I it it gives you a bit of a a bit of peace of mind, right? It cuz even if you, let's say, tomorrow the business disappears and you have to start from zero, like, you're probably going to be at 30,000 a month like in 1 or 2 months cuz now you know what the path looks like and what are the things you need to do, and you have the skill. Yeah. So, it's like really hard to go below that unless you suddenly change something or the world changes. That's it. One thing is I think would be beneficial for for people watching to know is throughout the past 7 months, obviously there's like a bunch of stuff that that we do inside in Velocity, and you guys being like like super actively using everything, which is really good, right?
Like every single call is like you guys are there, and you have great questions, which I it's crazy that more people don't do it. Like I don't I don't really know, but I'm happy that you guys utilize it to the full extent.
And people I feel like some days people just show up to listen to what questions you guys are going to ask. So, it it must be valuable for others as well. So, I'm happy about that. But what would you say has been like the most valuable or most impactful aspect of Agent Velocity that you have like gotten gotten out of it. Like what has truly helped you the most or the best best thing about it?
>> I would say I would say for sure the the group calls, um the weekly group calls. Uh those are just like I don't know. It's just like a good opportunity to like hear what other people are up to, to be able to ask questions about kind of whatever is going on um like with your business cuz there's more than likely like either you or someone else in the call has like been through that exact same stage before, um and it kind of takes a lot of the like I think the hardest thing about starting a business is just like the kind of like analysis paralysis where you're just like you're you don't know like you're like afraid to take the leap of faith cuz you're like, "Oh, if this is wrong, then I just wasted a bunch of time." And like and then you end up just kind of frozen. Um but like with those with those group calls, that's like really helped me to just be like, "All right, I'm just going to go, and I'm going to ask this question."
And like honestly, no matter what the answer is, I'm just going to like do it just so that I'm like not just like frozen in place.
Um and even if like it ends up not being the right thing, you at least did something, you know, and you mark something off the list. And I also think the other thing with the group calls too that I really like is that it's it's an environment that's very you feel very comfortable asking like super dumb questions.
Uh which are like is like very important like I don't know. I think like I'll just ask like whatever.
And it's ends up being super helpful. I don't feel like I need to be like asking super smart questions or anything like that.
Um it's just definitely like a very comfortable environment for that kind of thing which helps I think helps our growth like a ton just being able to feel uncomfortable asking those questions.
That's fire. What about Aiden? Would you say the same thing or you have anything else to add? I would say very similar. I also really like being on kind of the forefront of a lot of technology through this group is pretty fun just hearing what people are utilizing it for. Um you can take something like Cloud Code, but if you don't actually have a use case for it, it's absolutely useless, right? Like there's you're not going to get anything back from it. But hearing what other people are doing with it has like for sure 110% stimulated some of the ideas that Lars and I have had in our own business that we've leveraged in the in the things that are just like massive just growth unlockers as far as automation and moving forward and just having ideas for like long-term projects as well. It's been really cool having that and then yeah, like Lars was saying just talking to people not just Zilewski but everyone in that group has been absolutely huge for us and also having people to tell you to just do something sometimes is worth a lot more than any question that you could ask or you know, anything else that you could do. You could think about something for weeks or months or years, but somebody in there will just be like dude, just go and do it. Like stop thinking about it.
That is something that's been so helpful for Lars and I especially at the beginning stage when we didn't have that that knowledge yet that you just need to you know, iterate quickly. That was super helpful. And honestly, that's probably how we landed our first client.
We just went and did something and that that ended up being lucrative. So, yeah, I would say that is just the most important part. This the community that you have resources and all that good stuff. That's fire. That's a receipt. And yeah, I think you the way you landed your first client was the perfect example of just really hardcore execution cuz >> [laughter] >> you just did the phones immediately. We were doing market research week one and you just ended up signing signing a few people. It's just really really cool.
Um okay, great. So, my last question um if you had or my last question is would you recommend Agent Velocity to someone else and who do you think it would be a great fit for and and who it wouldn't be a good fit for in your opinion? Yeah, absolutely. I would I would recommend it so heavily and I'd also like to preface by saying I'm someone that never would have considered a course or community or paying for anything like this, investing in anything like this um previously until I had someone who vouched so heavily for this program. Um that got me in and if I could vouch for it, you know, hit me up. I will vouch for it. This is real. Um the connections you make are real. The knowledge that you get is no joke and yeah, I would say that it is just a great opportunity for you to get involved um and also just to, you know, grow a better business with all of the knowledge from the people around you. I am also someone who uh is a bit skeptical of uh mentorship consultancy programs uh like courses, whatever you want to call it um but I like I would vouch for AV 100%.
Like I mean it's gotten us to where we are right now and I think it's it's an incredible yeah, an incredible program. Um I will say though it is definitely not a like get rich quick scheme or anything like that. Like if you don't Like, if you don't like show up and you actually do the work, like you go and you ask the dumb questions, you actually do the things that you're supposed to do, like you will get rewarded for it, but like if you If you come in and you think that like if you just kind of dilly-dally and you're just in Like, you're just in the agency velocity like space that you'll like end up making a lot of money, like that's definitely not true.
It definitely requires someone who is willing to like make sacrifices, is willing to work hard and actually make it happen. And if you're not willing to do that, then then it's probably Or if you're looking for an easy way out, then it's definitely not it. First of all, really appreciate the kind words. And second of all, yeah, 100% agree that I'm glad that you pointed that out. I think obviously when we sit here and and someone might be watching this and thinking, "Oh, like from zero to 30k, seven months, no experience, like that's nice. Like, I'll just go do that." But I think it's like it's impossible to even describe how much you guys have grinded these seven months. Like, it is like the the amount of focus and effort and time and sacrifice you made over these seven months to like build it.
It's like I don't think people would even really understand it from like without actually seeing it.
So, yeah, I think that's a good good shout. Like, you're not going to do that accidentally. It has to be a lot of like It has to be a [ __ ] ton of work. And obviously we also can't take for for your guys' results, we can't take all the credit for that, not even not even a small part. Like, it it it would have not been possible unless you guys like locked in super hard. Like, we were just help helping you out there a bit. Yeah.
It won't just It won't just happen.
Yeah, >> [laughter] >> it is You have to really go and go and make it happen. But that's fire. Really appreciate you guys hopping on. Thank you for anyone if you watched this video. I don't know if you did, but thank you Thank you everyone else for for being here. Really appreciate the time.
And uh take care everyone. Bye. I hope you enjoyed the interview with Lars and Aiden.
