This video presents an experimental investigation into whether the computer AI in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate exhibits bias against the first player position during computerized battles. The creator conducts a series of eight-player computer battles using identical characters (Mario and Donkey Kong) to test if the AI treats all players equally or if there's a positional advantage/disadvantage. The experiment reveals that despite Donkey Kong's larger size and power advantage, Mario's speed and agility allow him to win multiple battles, demonstrating that character attributes and strategic gameplay factors may outweigh potential AI bias in determining battle outcomes.

SSBU CPU Experiment P1Added:
What's going on everyone? My name is Sean aka the side gamer and welcome to my first ever video on YouTube. Now, this is going to be a series that I'm really excited about starting uh as evident by the sound of my voice here.
U I actually wanted to uh log all this for a number of year number of years now since this game came out.
Uh, now that everything is kind of calmed down, now I can actually go ahead and start it. Uh, since I've heard a lot of talk about the computer remembering how you play and stuff like that, I was kind of curious as to if the computer actually has a sort of bias against the first player when it comes to computerized battles. you know, the AI, all eight characters AI fighting it out. Um, I was always curious about that and I wondered if that actually uh had any effect on how the battles ran.
So, I decided to conduct a little test and I'm going to make this into a series, like I said, to kind of see exactly what's going on, or at least try to. So, here's how everything's going to be set up. It's going to be an eight player computerized battle. All A1, all of them going to be computerized.
Uh, no time limit, five lives to start off with.
And it's elimination style. And everyone, it's going to be a race across the board here. So, let me show you what I mean.
>> Stock battle. That computer, that announcer guy always cracked me up. So, all eight players are going to be the same. And everyone's going to start with everyone's favorite mascot for the Nintendo, >> this guy.
So yeah, this is going to be where everyone starts as Mario.
>> And as theu as the computer goes, they're all going to be same difficulty, so you don't have to worry about that.
As you progress, as they win, they progress across the board here. So, the first player to win is Mario is going to basically become like Donkey Kong and Link and go across the board and it's going to encompass everybody.
So, this is going to be quite a long series. So, I hope you got you you all get strapped in. Now, when it comes to the later characters like the the specialized charact the DLC characters like Sevro, Steve, you know, all these guys, um, you know, they're going to be chronicle chronicized later on. So, just to give you guys a heads up. Um, now for the last three here, the MI characters.
Um, if you'll look with with like me brawler here, I have all these different characters set up based on their outfits and everything. Um, which I think thought was pretty fun to do. Um, but there's like all sorts of different ones here and each one is going to be set on a randomizer which I have set up on my phone.
Um, so it's going to be a matter of let's say it's like uh Knuckles like for but the second guy, you know, if he comes in, they're not going to be able to choose Knuckles as you can see. Can he >> You can all be the same character.
I'm just now realizing that. Well, I'm not going to worry about that because that's going to be too confusing.
At least with these characters here have pallet swaps, so you'd be able to tell who's who.
So, I am not going to worry about um making it all the same character.
So, I'm going to be setting this up so that everyone can tell so everyone can tell P the pallet swaps as to so you'll be able to keep better track.
I really like this aspect of the game.
>> And all items are going to be available.
All stages are going to be playable, >> but I'm also going to do something a little different with the stages as well.
>> Since everything's going to be set up randomly, uh, with the different stages and stuff, uh, I'm going to be taking pictures of the different tunes that are playing throughout the series.
And once I hear a tune, I'm going to be going into the settings to uh disable that song for that particular level. Uh reason I want to do this is because I want there to be I wanted to try and get as many songs played out throughout the series as I possibly can. Um, I don't think there's going to be a way to play every single song for every single fight, you know, but at least it gives the less in the less played tunes a chance for them to actually be uh listened to and actually see how it either energizes or kind of tones down the fight. You know what I mean?
and I just thought it'd be kind of an extra little fun thing to um to bring out. So, without further ado, uh oh yeah, I'm going to be doing a total of 10 fights per video.
And after five fights, I'm going to cut out um me changing the tunes a little bit.
uh disabling those songs. So, just so you're aware. Okay, so without further ado, let's get this very first fight underway. Mario's across the board.
Who's going to be the plumber to take the first victory?
>> Let's do this.
This is going to be exciting. The first fight.
>> Here we go.
And just so you guys know, these are all computer players. Again, I'm not playing any of this. I'm not affecting this in any way. In fact, the controller is completely out of my hands.
So that way you see if it does go dark after a couple minutes, that's probably why because I don't have it in my hands right now.
So, this actually gives me a little bit of time to actually check out the uh the battlegrounds a little bit to see what kind of Easter eggs and stuff we can come across. Uh-oh.
First Mar first Mario to actually have a finish. Smash move, but it doesn't take anyone out. It just knocks them away a little bit.
Now, this is Yeah, the Wii Sports Resort. Oh, what a good hit from one of those Marios there.
Now, this is obviously the uh Wii Sports Resort Island, and you can actually tell like there's a bunch of stuff you can see like the uh cityscape. Oh, there's the battle.
There's the sword duel battleground there. Kind of like American Gladiators a little bit.
if you think about it. But you get to see like all you get to see just exactly how big this island is. The Wii game that you play, it doesn't like give it justice. Honestly, I wonder if this actually makes it to where um the game the uh like the golf game from the first island for the first Wii Sports game would be able to uh Oh, wait. Now it's changed.
Now this is more like Pilot Wings. Palo Wings. Uh was it 64 or something like that?
But anyway, that's kind of a weird tangent there I went off of. They probably did it that way on purpose. Trying to shoot one as many uh Easter eggs. Uhoh, another final smash on on the rise here. It's fixing to happen.
Woo! Mario knocks out a couple there, but looks like player four is down to two lives now with players one, two, five, and six having four lives. Now, a couple have been going down.
But see, I really like this battleground a little bit. I mean, it's pretty interesting to have like one large platform and two smaller ones underneath, you know, because you can fight on the engines, but being able to see the environment around you and kind of like it kind of like brings back those nostalgic memories of, you know, playing with the puppy and the uh frisbee mo, the frisbee game, uh getting to do the uh jet ski, getting to do the sword battles, sword duels.
Oh, player three is down to one life left, so this is their last chance. You see goat jumping over there.
I like seeing the Pokemon come out. I just thought that was really funny.
Oh, a pow block. That's going to hurt.
What a shot that was.
Going back to the take the takeoff platform here.
Uhoh.
Player seven with one final smash.
Someone got knocked out, but Oh, now we got player four down to one life.
Oh, player three is out. So, the first elimination is player three, but we got seven more characters to fight to fight against here.
So, we'll see what's going to happen.
Excuse me.
>> Now, see the biplane here. I like it better because you actually get to fight on the bottom wings. It actually makes the uh the battlefield a little bit more expansive. So, you have more room to fight.
But now everybody's kind of like at a stalemate at the moment trying to figure out who's going to be next on the chopping block. Oh, what a knockout.
Player eight down to one life.
The uh wedding attire from Odyssey.
Wow.
I wonder if anyone would ever try and fall into that volcano. That'd be funny to see.
I think there was a level that actually has that appeal.
I have to keep touching the controller every so often to just to make sure the screen doesn't go dark like that. Sorry about that folks.
Uh but yeah, if you have any ideas on other I have a couple other pro of uh like at least one other project that I was going to do with the Super Smash Brothers and I wanted to see what you guys thought. Player six down to one life left. So if there's any Player two down one life left. Wow. Oh, we're starting to get into the nitty-gritty now. Players one and seven. Oh, player six is out. Player seven down to one life. So, player one is the only one to have multiple lives left.
That's interesting.
But yeah, like I was saying before, if there's anything else you want to see from Smash Brothers, um, that would be kind of interesting to showcase, uh, leave it in the comments of the video. And, you know, please keep in mind this is the first video I've ever made, so please keep the comments uh, civil at the very least. But if you have any ideas, on uh >> what I can do to improve my videos, you know, let me know.
>> I'll I'll take constructive criticism, but not, you know, just >> painful, you know, um sarcastic or any major.
And just like that, turning the tide, the Star Spangle Plumber, player two gets the first victory.
That's awesome.
And you saw that hammer turned the tide of battle pretty quick. But for the longest time, it was player one that was actually getting a uh getting a rub there.
So this that was interesting to see. So now we get to see >> Donkey Kong. Now in order to keep things straight on the battlefield to try and make sure that we get to see who is who, um even with the stuff down at the bottom there, I'm going to keep the uh pallet swaps in line with what the computer what the uh computer location is. So like like player two is going to be coer two, player three is coer three, etc. So we get to see Donkey Kong as black with a yellow tie.
Has he ever worn stuff like that in any of the of the other Donkey Kong games?
Please let me know.
So, let's see what battle number two is going to be with the addition of a Donkey Kong in the mix.
And immediately we go to a middle gear, the middle gear level, which is awesome.
It was an interesting idea to have, you know, Solid Snake in the Smash Brothers universe because that brings out a whole lot of other questions.
Donkey Kong's the first to be knocked out.
I guess that size really makes him an easier target to hit, but hopefully that strength will be able to keep him in the battle as player eight smacks the screen. I love that.
Oh, speaking of Metal Gear, there's one breaking through.
Now, I really I'm really not as knowledgeable of Metal Gear Solid or the Metal Gear series, so I'm not exactly sure what Metal Gear is that is in the background. Um, if you guys know, let me know so I can be able to talk about it a little bit better.
But as I was saying before, I thought it was a kind of a nice surprise to have um Solid Snake in the game.
But that, like I said, has raised a whole lot of questions as another Mario lights up the screen with his huge fireball.
Um because I've always known Metal Gear Solid as a more of a because it was on PlayStation a lot. It wasn't really on um the uh on Nintendo. I guess you can count unless you count like the first Metal Gear games like Metal Gear and um Metal Gear the Return of the Solid Snake or something like that. Um, or maybe I was getting those mixed up, but I know there was a Metal Gear game for Nintendo, like for the NES or the Famicom, if you want to, you know, if you want to call it what it was back in Japan. Um, so I was always kind of curious about why they would add these characters in.
But on a more on a more uh lighthearted note, just the fact that you see the characters smacked through the screen is funny. But Donkey Kong is down to one life immediately. Wow.
There's a bunch of other stuff. There's a lot of stuff going on in the game in battles that I don't always see everything. So, just to give you guys a heads up on that. Oh, there's Shovel Knight. Shovel Knight bringing bringing the dirt and bringing the metal pain digging holes and making holes in other people with the dirt and shovel.
I always love the assist trophies because you never know who's going to come out and it's always kind of a it's always a nostalgia nostalgia hit when you see something that see someone you've seen like in games that get a 3D treatment that you never thought would.
Oh, and Donkey Kong is out of here.
So, one Donkey Kong can't really handle being around seven Marios.
That's kind of a funny aside to deal with. That's funny aside right there.
And Wall Mario unleashing his, you know, final smash on everybody here.
And looks like players eight and three are down to one life left.
And Again, player two may or player one may have a slight advantage here as player eight is out and player four down to one life.
Everybody else has two, three and four are on the chopper block here. They got to be real careful.
I've always been curious. Does the Metal Gear in the background here, does it change or is it always the same one or is it just like a different version of the same one? Oh, player one down to one life as well as player five and player six down to his last life. So, player seven is in the lead.
The only one with multiple lives here.
Oh, players four. Player four is out.
And player seven down to one life.
Oh, players five and six are out as well. So, it's a three-way fight. One, three, and seven. The odd numbers are going to fight it out. Construction Mario, regular oldfashioned Mario, and a um a lavender cyan Mario, it looks like. Has there have any of these other pallet swaps like ever appeared in a different game?
>> Like the pallet swap for player no player two or player three, sorry.
>> Oh, and player seven is out. Oh. Oh, wait a minute. Cuz someone gets the fl the flag for the finish.
Whoever does gets an extra life. Oh, they got the invisibility star. Player three is still fighting, but player one is still trying to stay away from it.
Oh, and what a blast.
It's a one-on-one fight. One to three.
Who's going to get Oh, player one gets the final blow >> and he becomes Donkey Kong.
in the next fight.
So, this is going to be battle number three. This is going to be interesting.
So, now we get to see two Donkey Kongs.
And I wonder if how that's going to change the uh >> situation here. So, you get to see Donkey Kong in all his 3D glory. the brown fur, the red bow tie.
So, let's see what happens.
Oh, speaking of Donkey Kong, their Donkey Kong level.
I've always liked the look of this.
The level itself is kind of hard to play in because of all the different platforms, the small platforms on the sides.
But the way the level looks, the level itself looks is just I love the aesthetic of it.
Now, with me being an 80s kid, um that means I was a teenager in the 90s.
And so those of you who have actually uh who saw it when it first came out, what did everyone think of Donkey Kong Country for the Super Nintendo?
I mean, it was the first of its kind to have that kind of 3D style, I believe.
And it was definitely a long time since we actually saw a Donkey Kong game.
But all you always see Donkey Kong as a villain. With this one, you actually get to play Donkey Kong as a hero, as a as the protag. And it introduced Diddy Kong. Uh Captain K Rule or uh yeah, Captain K Rule or King K Rule as you want to call him.
Oh, there's another Pokemon. Toamaru, I think that was that was bringing the electric shock there.
So, uh, but yeah, I think Dark Country was definitely a masterpiece for the Super Nintendo and it is I honestly think it's a staple of 16 gen gaming, honestly.
Oh, and Donkey Kong has a final smash.
This is player one.
And a flurry of hits and uppercut is awesome to see cuz I I love that kind of final smash better than they gave him in the previous one, which were those bongos.
I mean, it was kind of cool to see like a like a full 360 range attack of as a final smash, but I think a lot of people complained about it, saying that it was just I don't know. I always thought it was a little too cheesy, though. So, I do like the uh the added idea of uh of of having someone like in the air doing the an all area attack, an all round attack to kind of make sure you're safeguarded, you know, even like hitting people below you, which I think is kind of cool. As you see, Alolan Exeggutor pop in and pop out.
Always like Pokemon. I've always played I played a lot of the Pokemon games. I don't think I'm going to play any as videos right now because I started playing them beforehand and I don't really feel like I want to restart to be honest.
As if you saw Majora's Yeah, the moon from Majora's Mask. I was almost ready to say Majora's Moon, but I don't think that's what it's called. I think it's just called the Moon.
I mean, how would you like to go outside at night and see that thing stare down at you? That would creep me out.
Oh, final smash from Walu Mario. I love calling it that because of the purple attire. Makes him look like a short squat Waluigi.
That and the assist trophy is the closest you'll get to Waluigi being in the Smash game. unfortunately as player one and player four are down to one life left.
Oh, and is it who who is that? I always forget who that is cuz some of these characters are from Japanese games, so I don't really I can't really talk about them all that much.
But it looks looks interesting to see.
As you see a bomb snow, the evolved form of snow as the assist trophy just making his presence felt.
Oh, ice punch definitely get people away as Meowth uses payday.
It's like a little mini machine gun there.
I think it's kind of funny.
I get so into tune with watching these that I don't hit the but I don't like hit the stick as much.
>> Oh, player one is out thanks to Snorlax knocking them out. And there's a bumper.
Is that from Sonic? I believe it is.
But it looks like it might have the Smash Brothers logo on it. So maybe it was like repurposed from one of those game from the Sonic game.
>> Player eight unleashing the final smash eliminating player four. Player two now has one life left as well as players five and seven. So it's almost a reverse of the last fight. Players three, six, and eight have two left as we're getting down to the nitty-gritty here.
This is just kind of awesome to see >> and just Yeah. getting to see what else comes out. Oh, there's a swordsman samurai.
Ooh, that sword flurry was enough to knock another player out.
Players five is gone.
So, two, three, and seven are down to one life left. Oh, player six got knocked out. So, he's down to one left.
Player eight is in control with two lives, but it could very easily be the next one knocked out. You see a soccer ball come into play. And you know how much the Mario franchise loves playing soccer.
And then you got the Mega Man soccer game that still lives rent free in my head.
This is a shame. Oh, one of the Tapoo >> uh one of the Tapoo Pokemon from uh X and Y, I believe. H I keep forgetting them because they all sound similar, so it's kind of hard to differentiate.
But that but that keeps in mind uh that brings me back to the game where another elimination. Player two is gone. So now we have a three-way fight. Six, seven, and eight. At eight unleashes a smash.
And player eight gets the win.
Now Mario gets to finally take that tux off and go change into a dark suit.
interesting to see.
Yeah, I'm all over the place when it comes to talking about stuff like that.
So, I always I'm going to try and be a little bit more concise with talking about like uh nostalgic stuff, but at the same time, I feel like I want to be like an announcer when it comes to like I want to be like a color commentator for the battle, too.
So, it was kind of hard to see. So, now Mario wins it with two Donkey Kongs mixed in. So, now we're going to be a five to3 split. Mario to Donkey Kong.
Will a Donkey Kong finally get a victory here?
Let's see. Battle number four.
And we get to the King of Fighters Arena.
which honestly I think that game needs to make a comeback. I mean those some of those characters on there were a lot of fun to do with uh Terry Andy Bogart. Oh, as you see Shadow Shadow the Hedgehog with Chaos Control freezing up the playing field there.
But yeah, honestly, King of Fighters I should should make a comeback. Oh, I totally forgot about that. When you knock a player out, it shoots out those fireworks.
That is awesome. I love that.
And you get to see now the Donkey Kongs are making their presence felt a little bit more because there's more of them.
just getting to see like the the fireworks and stuff like that. Getting to see like how the background um plays out, how the how what you can find in the backgrounds is really fun to me.
As you can see, you can watch the little screen in the background there.
But why would you want to watch the little screen when you got all this on the big screen ready to fight, ready to show you what what Oh, and is it This is from Fatal Frame, isn't it? I've only heard about the game. I've never actually played it.
I always thought it was a little like too cheesy, I guess. Like a cheesy horror game.
I mean, was Fatal Frame any good? any of the Fatal Frames.
I might consider actually playing one of those if if it's, you know, a decent decent game, you know.
But we get to see the fury here. Oh, a Zoroarch taking care of business, eliminating another character, you know, taking one of their lives away.
And uhoh, you got a pitfall seed from Animal Crossing as an item there.
Oh, and now it's like now it's like the game is becoming more even with Mario's now starting to get Oh, wait.
Who is that? That that I think that's a guy from Bayonetta if I if I'm sure correct. He has the same like um punching ability as Bayonetta does in this game.
Yeah. Yeah. I think he's from Bayonetta.
And you get to see Mario unleash the fireball to weaken him, but not to eliminate people.
Oh, and player eight down to one life left. The newest Donkey Kong.
Oh, players two, three, four, five are down to one life as well. So, players one, six, and seven are still they still got multiple lives, but for how long?
That's going to be interesting to see how long that lasts. Oh, player one down to one life.
Oh, players two and four are out of here. They've been eliminated as you get to see another inferno.
Inferno blast from this bomb seed or whatever it is. Uh, we get to see another assist trophy.
Oh, that's Oh, that's the clap trap from Donkey Kong Country.
And oh, Xernius from Pokemon X.
Uh, player eight is out. Player one is out.
>> Player five is out. Player three.
>> Uhoh. Player six is down to one life left. Player seven still has multiple lives. As you can see, uh, Hammer Bro from Super Mario getting added to the mix here for a short time.
Short time.
I think it's kind of funny that you get to see a Mario assist trophy when in a battle of two Marios going at it.
And oh, they missed that thankfully.
Oh man, these two are going at it. The the heal chamber is gone now. Oh, player seven just whail laying into number six here.
Oh, that almost blew up. That almost blew up player seven right there. The drill coming into play but not even really affecting anything.
Mario with a gun now. They keep trading shots.
Oh, and Mario with a sword now. Sword versus gun. Who's going to win?
Keep in mind, keep in mind now. Uh oh, the blue shell.
The blue shell.
>> There he go.
Player seven.
>> Construction Mario. That's the skin from Mario Maker, right? I believe so.
So, Mario player seven turns into Donkey Kong. And now it's going to be an even split as to who is going to be who here. Who's going to win this one?
So now we get to see.
Uh here we go. Another Donkey Kong getting added. So this is going to be number seven. The gold fur, light brown fur, the blue necktie as opposed to player eight. pink fur and the yellowish like a mustard yellow uh boat uh tie there. Why do I call them bow ties? It's weird. But they're not bow ties. They're just standard tie.
Anyway, four on four.
Battle number five.
Will Donkey Kong finally get a victory?
>> Okay, there we go.
a Mario stage.
Now, this is what I actually like because it's not just it's not like a uh a static level where you can just look at background stuff. You actually get to it actually moves. That's the one thing I've liked about Smash Brothers a lot was the levels that you actually get to move where actually stuff moves stuff around so it changes.
And that's why for the longest time when I would play Smash Brothers, I always liked using the Pokemon Stadium uh levels because those always like they changed the uh it changes the arena depending on, you know, depending on Pokemon type.
nothing. They only had like they only had like maybe three or four variants, but just having them change on a whim always like kept you on your toes. So like it showed how quickly you are to adapt.
And now Oh, there went Knuckles. He came in swing started swinging and left.
And who? Uhoh.
There's another final smash from It was player three. Yeah, it was player three, Mario.
Sometimes I have to look closer to the screen in order to see who who it actually was. So, just keep that in mind.
But now, player two, or player one, I should say, is in mind right now.
They're down to two lives left. They're the only one to have two lives left.
Everyone else is at least three.
I thought it would been I thought this would have been a funny change of pace if someone were to actually like be able to hit the flag and get like a bonus based on that.
But you don't really get to see like anything in the background much. I mean, it's just sand.
Uh makes me think of world two of uh Super Mario Brothers 3. Yeah, the desert uh the desert background, the desert levels, but the forefront actually is uh Super Mario one uh world, you know, one-1 repeated over and over, which I thought was really cool.
Another Mario smacks the glass. And now player one is in a b major trouble because they're down to one life left.
They could easily be knocked out if they're not careful. Uhoh.
>> Who has the Did someone have Someone had the final smash, but I don't know who it was. They got knocked out.
Oh, player two down to one life. Player seven and eight down to one life. You know, it's the Marios that have the lives now that they have two lives each.
Player one was the first one out with the others probably following close behind. Player f player five is down to one life. Player seven is out. So you notice the Donkey Kongs are basically slower.
They're more powerful, but yeah, they're bigger and slower, so they get hit a lot quicker.
So compared to the Marios, they're kind of floundering a little bit.
So hopefully there won't be much of an issue >> later on. Ooh, player two is out. Player three down to one life. Everyone now is down to one life. So this is going to be a uh major issue. This is going to be sudden almost sudden death here with one Donkey Kong and all four Marios are still in the fight.
Will not killing survive? Nope. So, Mario is going to win.
Mario's Mario is going to win this one.
A Mario has won on every fight on f on the first five.
That's really interesting. Donkey Kong has yet to win a fight.
Gold. You hear Gold being summoned.
And Mario has a scythe.
He's going to He's going to try and reap some souls here. Nope, it's gone. Oh, the fire rod fire st the fire rod sword.
That's really a weird weapon like to, you know, being able to wield those.
Player four is out. So now, uhoh, Donkey Kong hammer and Oh no.
Are we going to see players f player five get the win? No.
He couldn't knock out three fast enough, but three is at a disadvantage cuz they have more damage taken here.
Oh, but call him the comeback kid.
Player three, the pink and cyan. I I was calling it lavender before.
The pink and cyan Mario player three gets the final victory on this battle number five.
So now we get to see >> five more uh three Marios and five Donkey Kongs.
This is going to be an interesting culmination here.
Yep, that was it. That was actually it.
So, okay, let me go change the music right quick and we will come back for the next five. Okay, so we are back now with like I said, five Donkey Kongs and three Marios. And as you can tell, I did change the music a little bit. So, I did do my edits there. So, let's start with battle number six and let's see if how long it takes for Donkey Kong to actually get a victory. With five on three now in favor of Donkey Kong, there's got to be one that will actually get a victory here, right?
Let's see what happens.
Now, I'm trying not to talk as much because I like the music.
All right, a Pokemon Pokemon Stadium fight. I love this. And I love the screen in the background.
That's probably my favorite feature of this besides the ability to change the uh the battlefield.
You get to see the combatants on screen.
You get to see close-ups of them every so often. And you get to see when it changes.
Player uh player six was the first one to actually get knocked out.
Oh, there's so Leo.
I forget how fierce they can be. Oh, there's a Electivire.
Uh there's couple other Pokemon in the background.
I can't see them though. Oh, Donkey Kong unleashes the final smash.
Oh, there's Magnazone back there.
That's cool. Good to see Pokemon in the background.
>> Yeah, love the music of this game.
Oh, Mario gets gets featured here.
I like watching the back almost as much as I like watching the actual fight.
Probably more so, actually.
Oh, who's going to give the final smash again? He keeps getting knocked out off edge there.
Oh, Mario.
Let's see if he actually gets to unleash it.
You can see the rock of uh the rock change the rock type formation here.
And you got to see some knockout blows there. Looks like player five is in the lead with four lives.
Interesting to see how this affects everything. Gardavir is on the on the screen there.
Didn't know until she was gone. He whichever they could be both.
Now he gets to see.
Sorry.
Everyone's now getting down to two or three lives here.
Another fire fire rod coming into play.
Oh, air type or flying type arena.
Snorlax getting to make his presence known.
Player one is the first one to be down to one life left. Oh, you can see Hopip.
Oh, player one is out already.
Oh, you see Scarry. There's Drifloon.
Hopip flying around.
That's awesome to see this.
Oh, players six and seven down to one life.
Looks like player five is in the driver's seat with three lives. Oh, there's a mini black hole opening up.
Opened up here.
Oh, and Mario got caught.
But not much going on now.
>> Also, you get to see the c the it shows like the leaderboard.
So, you get to see who's in first place.
Uh, player eight down to one life left.
Seven is out.
Only one Donkey Kong has two lives and only one Mario has two lives.
Players three and five are still doing pretty good here. Uhoh.
Ice love ice changing.
There's a little snowman in the background. That's cute. There's Snow and Donkey Kong unleashing a flurry, knocking out player eight. Uh, player eight. Yeah. So, players two and three are down. Oh, everyone's down to one life now. That's two Marios versus two Donkey Kongs.
Oh, and the Howard knocks out a Mario.
Player four is out.
Is there a Wee on this stage somewhere?
Or did they like we just get knocked away? Oh, Metroid knocks out Don. Player two is out. So now the classic one-on-one fight. Donkey Kong and Mario.
But player three is in bind. He's at dangerous levels.
Got to be real careful.
Uhoh. And there he goes. Player five.
>> Gets the victory now.
Man, Mario with even with a an advantage of five to three. A Mario still gets a victory.
What's it going to take? Is every Mario going to be turning into Donkey Kong before they can finally get a victory?
Oh, that's interesting. If you look at the stats, player three had 11 KOs, but couldn't get the job done against more against player five, who had nine KOs on that one.
That's interesting.
I was like looking at the stats every kind I'm kind of a nerd like that.
So, let's see here.
So, now we get to see another donkey call.
>> This is going to be player five.
Green donkey call. with red tie.
Was there ever a green Donkey Kong in another game besides this?
I don't know.
It'd be so interesting if there was. So now, will we finally get to see Donkey Kong succeed here as we get to a Kirby level? Whis. There's Wispy Woods right there.
Like the first the fir usually the first villain you enc the first boss you encounter in Kirby games is Wispy Woods.
I don't know why that is. I guess it's cuz he's so he doesn't really move so he's so easy to fight. I don't know.
Oh he going to be like player seven and eight were the first to be knocked out.
So, uhoh, fatal frame coming back in the picture.
See what I did there?
That is so interesting to see that you get damage from getting hit with the photograph there.
That's interesting.
Oh, and there goes a Mario.
Well, that's to be expected at this point. You got six, like six heavy hitters in there, but Mario is usually crafting speed, able to speed away.
But let's see what happens. If either player four or six get a victory here, I don't know what I'm going to do. Oh, player three is down to two lives now.
They're in the bottom rung there. O, that's going to be rough.
But I've seen weird things happen. I've seen people come back from a, you know, twopoint deficit. I will up there and they get a victory. So, just got to it just depends on how you play, you know.
And the computer at the hardest difficulty here, they're usually pretty smart about being able to fight, but every so often you get to see kind of the computer lose it a little.
And we're getting down to the nitty-gritty now.
And two Donkey Kongs are in first place.
They both have four lives left.
There's three Donkey Kongs that have three lives left. Mario with three lives. Actually, four. Four Donkey Kongs with three lives left. Wow.
Can't believe I missed that.
And you can see the blocks falling.
They're kind of a danger you got to deal with. Player three down to one life left. They're in trouble.
Will they be able to survive?
Only time will tell.
Did see those bombs.
I've I've played a few Kirby games and I've always thought they were kind of fun, if somewhat simplized. But you never Oh, player three is out.
Eliminated by another Donkey Kong from that final smash.
Two Donkey Kongs are in the lead with three lives now. Everyone else is down to two.
This is actually looking good for the Donkey Kongs. Will one of them finally get a victory here?
>> Surely one of them is going to have to come out on top in this case.
Oh, getting hit knocked down hard.
Oh, someone's got the super Oh, Don Kong has the super scope.
Being able to use like real life real life stuff to damage characters in game is really funny to me. I love that stuff. But player two down to one life now. Everyone else is up to two. Oh, player eight is on their final life. You got to be careful.
They're trying to go after each other.
They're not really going after items, which I think is really interesting.
Oh, what a hard explosive blast there.
Oh, Mario is down to one life left.
Player se uh player six down one life.
So is player one.
One Mario has two lives left, which is kind of concerning. Oh, so player four is in the lead with two lives. Everyone else is down to one.
Is a bar another Mario really going to get victory here? as Who is that?
Someone from Arms making their presence felt in this m in this match.
Oh, what a hard shot. Players one, three, and six are out. Player eight is out.
So, we got two, four, five, and seven.
Only one Mario among them.
And oh, player two is out. Donkey Kongs are down or two to one now. Uh-oh.
Mario's got the final smash. Will they use it?
They use it.
>> And he knocks them both out.
Player four, Mario.
This just goes to show you that apparently Mario K Donkey Kong is completely OP.
So, we got Okay, this is going to be interesting.
A 7:1 ratio of Donkey Kong to Mario.
So, player se uh player six is the only one that hasn't turned into Donkey Kong yet.
Yeah, that's okay. Player four has a purple fur and a pink tie.
This must be like a uh like a punk style Donkey Kong, I guess. Dying his fur purple or green or pink or whatever.
That's interesting. So now we have seven Donkey Kongs and one Mario.
Will player six Mario finally get a victory or will Donkey Kong finally move up one?
We're gonna find out.
>> Oh, back to the back to this level again with another song. And see this is why I like to change the songs on stages because this song this this in particular for stuff for events like this where you get to see the stage multiple times.
Then you actually get to showcase more of the music you can change it around.
Uh player seven is the first to get knocked out. So, a Donkey Kong Gang Club first.
But I wonder just how well Mario is going to handle being it being up against seven Donkey Kongs.
Many, he's probably not even worried about it. He's probably not even stressed. He's like all the other ones at once. So, it's my turn now. It's my turn to shine.
But so far, Mario hasn't been knocked out yet.
Got to watch out for that crate, though.
That crate is an explosive. You got to be real careful around that.
But yeah, I've always liked seeing Well, there's there were a couple of Miis that actually had the uh that actually had jetpacks.
Oh, so Leo still making his presence felt, running across screen three or four times. That was a Was that flare blitz or was that another Pokemon type move or Pokemon move that has a fire um has extreme fire like that.
I don't know. It'd be interesting to see about halfway through with this fight, it looks like. Um, yeah, players. Oh, we still got Mario is still in the lead with four lives.
Everyone else is at least is down to three. Well, there's a Donkey Kong that has four lives left. Thank goodness.
Uhoh.
Here we go. Oh, another flurry of punches from Donkey Kong.
Now, I wonder if that would be like a combo from because I remember Donkey Kong was a I believe he was a was he a secret character? I think I don't think he was actually in the main game, but he was like a secret character in Super Punch Out for Super Nintendo.
I I know there was like he was in there.
I don't remember if he was actually in the actual in the actual lineup or if there was like a secret way to get to him, but I wonder if that would have been like a combo that he would have pulled out in that game.
It would be it would be interesting at the very least.
Oh, player three down to one life now.
Think I'd be careful.
A donkey two Donkey Kong are in the lead with three lives. Players two and eight. Oh, player seven down to one life. Player four down to one life.
Donkey Kong is so easy to hit.
He's like a big target.
Oh, player three is the first one out.
Player five down to one life now.
And now the fight is is becoming more and more tense. Oh, there's Eevee.
Eevee used tackle. It's not very effective.
Interesting to see.
Love to see the blending of different Pokemon game or different Nintendo games.
Oh wow. Players one, three, and four.
One, three, and four. Now two is down to one life. One, three. Four are out.
Player seven is out. Mario's down to one life. A Donkey Kong's in the lead.
Player eight is in the lead with two lives. And who is this?
She's bl she's like using laser blast, like electric blast or something.
And like rocketing against everybody here. Uhoh.
Player eight down to one life and now it's going to be a sudden fight.
Player five is in tr is in the danger zone. You got to be real careful as the f as the don tongs are fighting each other.
Uh-oh.
Oh, we got a sword and crate. Oh, and that hit Mario hard.
Oh, player five is out. So, we get to see players six and eight. N I gota keep. I forgot.
Players six and eight fight it out. Six has a or eight has an advantage because they have more health. But uh-oh, Crystal from Star Fox coming to help Mario.
Are we going to see Mario get a the last Mario get a victory and become all Donkey Kongs?
That's going to be so interesting.
There it is. So, we get to see apparently Donkey Kong can't do a thing against Mario. Even with a 7:1 ratio, Mario still pulls out a victory.
That is very interesting.
I don't even know what to make of that.
battle.
>> So, we get to see Captain Mario. Oops. All Donkey Kongs.
>> Donkey Kong.
>> So, yeah, you get to see all the Donkey Kong variations now. All the different patterns.
And player six is apparently old man Donkey Kong with the silver fur and the red bow tie. That's him in his old age, I guess.
So now that was three fights.
So we get to actually get to see so Donkey Kong actually win for once on this one. Yeah, leaving no room for Mario at all.
>> Wow.
>> Getting to see Donkey Kongs all over the place.
This is a real interesting This is really interesting so far because Mario is, you know, a little bit smaller but definitely faster.
I don't think he's as strong as Donkey Kong, but that speed definitely proves that when it comes to fighting against Donkey Kong, speed is going to be your key. Oh, couple of knockouts.
And now to talk about Pikmin, because this is the first time you've seen a Pikmin level in the video so far.
I've never actually played Pikmin, but I've heard a lot of people rave about it and they say that it's a really interesting um like a strategy type thing where the different Pikmin have different abilities. You have to kind of like pick and choose which ones to grow, which ones to nurture, and stuff like that. It's kind of an interesting idea, but I've never actually played it, and I don't know. I'm kind of debating on whether I should or not. Is there a way to play Pikmin on the Switch?
If there is, I might have to look into it.
But right now, I'm I'm fully locked in on Smash Brothers for for a bit here.
And that's the cool thing about that's one cool thing about this. You can actually see the little pod, the little spaceship in the background there. It's crud. It's crashed like right there at the bottom. And you get to see one of those creatures.
And those creatures can eat your character like like you saw earlier. And you get to see those characters in the background, too. Yeah. Like that creature walking in the background right there is the same thing as one of those ones that come up to the foreground.
Oh, the Pokemon Beware unleashing fun unleashing all those fun fists at everybody. And there's tap the tapoo set.
That's going to drive me nuts.
Who is that? Tapu I don't know. We'll figure it out.
But um >> Oh, I was wrong. It was It wasn't from XY. It was from Sun and Moon, I think.
Yeah, it was Sun and Moon. Tap Coco is the guy. And now we get to see Oh, >> everyone's getting eliminated here.
Players one, two, but players one and two are out. Seven, five, seven, eight are out.
As you see, a me character drawn that was drawing stuff. Apparently, I keep forgetting her name.
I don't have time to think. So, >> if I do, I miss something. So, finally, one-on-one between Donkey Kong's players three and six.
So, I wonder if the computer is actually going out of its way to not be biased based on, you know, what uh player number it is, you know.
Interesting. Oh, lolen exeutor.
But player six has the final smash. When are they going to unleash it?
And how long will it be before it? Oh, Starman from Earthbound/Mother blasting away at everybody.
Player six. Oh, and that is it.
>> Donkey Kong player three gets the victory here.
So, finally we get to see Donkey Kong succeed.
Of course, you had to get rid of all the Marios in order to do it, too. That is so wild to me.
So, finally, we get to see Link come into the picture here. Player three.
And I love how they do the Breath of the Wild attires, but I do like the classic attires, too, which I think is really I I've always patterned that because I'm more of a I've always enjoyed the uh Zelda games. Zelda is one of the first games I played actually. So, now we get to see how Link will succeed in the land of Donkey Kongs.
I don't know how this is going to work out, honestly.
Okay, so I think this is going to be battle number four. Let me double check.
Oh, that was number four. So, this is going to be battle number five.
The last battle of the video.
So, Link and seven Donkey Kongs How is this going to affect the battle?
We'll find out as we get to fight on F0 stage. Believe this is Mute City, right?
I believe so.
And I will say, oh, player one and player three link, you know, they were the first ones to get eliminated or first ones to get knocked out. Sorry.
But here's my question to you guys for this final fight.
Did any of you enjoy playing F-Zero?
Because to me, I enjoyed it for a little bit, but I always found it so difficult to play.
I always kept hitting the sides and I just never was able to get the uh I was never able to fully like complete like half the levels cuz I would always blow up.
I need to get better at Death Zero, I think.
I should but anyway. Oh, purple Donkey Kong unleashing a flurry.
And now Yeah, I've always Who ever was it? Would everyone play as F-Zero? Who would you choose?
Um, with me, it was always either It was mostly the samurai uh samurai Goro, I believe he's called.
Yeah, that that pink one right there.
The one that's up against right up against Captain Falcon. I was always him. Oh, Kyogre blasting everyone with those water with those water blasts.
That definitely changed things in a hurry.
But so far, Link seems to be doing, you know, he's doing okay, but never he's not like in the lead like the Marios were, which is interesting.
So now, wow, everyone time is slowed down for everyone except for two of them. Two Donkey Kongs. Player seven and eight did not get affected by the time launcher there.
Oh, one of them has a jetpack now.
That's interesting.
And now, oh, players four and six are down to one life left.
Player eight is down to one life. They gota be careful.
It's always interesting to see like being able to fight on top of the cars.
That's why I think this level is pretty cool. Definitely not a favorite, but I think it's pretty interesting.
Oh, everyone except for players one and seven are down to one life.
So, two Donkey Kongs are in the lead.
Oh, player one down to one life. So, player seven is in the driver's seat with two lives.
Got to be real careful now.
Uh-oh.
Player six and player eight are out >> thanks to that firebomb, whatever it was. That makes me think of Bomber Man. The fire bomb. Oh, the lightning bolt from Mario Kart shrinking everybody.
That's interesting. Oh, the bees from Animal Crossing make their make their way into it. Player one is out. Player four is out. Player two got knocked out.
Wow.
So now Oh, and a flurry being unleashed. Donkey Kong. Player five is out. So it's between Link and player seven. Donkey Kong.
Is Link gonna actually get the victory?
Is he going to survive? Yes.
I cannot believe this.
Link gets the victory on his first battle.
Wow. Okay, so that right there is going to mark the number the uh the final battle for this video.
And this is going to be an interesting lineup for the next time we do this.
So, >> come back for the next video where we're going to see Samus >> as player three and we're going to see if a Donkey Kong will actually be able to last against anybody and actually go up the leaderboard here.
So, player three, as you can see, is in first place so far, being able to go up to Samus level. Everyone else is stuck with Donkey Kong crowning out the bottom. But will But how will that change in the next fight?
So, if you want to see more, like and subscribe. Follow me for more.
And until next time, keep on battling.
