High humidity combined with warm temperatures creates a 'muggy' feeling that makes the weather feel hotter than actual temperature readings, and this combination can lead to thunderstorms with hazards including gusting winds, heavy rain, and lightning, though tornado threats are typically low during such conditions.

A hot and muggy SundayAdded:
Hey there, I'm meteorologist Lance Huffman. Let's take an early look into your Sunday forecast. It's going to be another day that feels pretty much like summer, but what will be different from Saturday is that we will not be looking at as much in terms of any rain or storm chances by any means, especially as we get towards Sunday morning. At 7:00 a.m.
our temperature's in the lower 60s, a mild start to the day. We only get warmer from there. 63° towards 7:00. You can see though quite a few clouds. Can't rule out maybe an isolated sprinkle or two, but we have trended more towards the dry resolution of things as we get towards Sunday morning past sunrise.
Now, as we get into really late Sunday morning and into early Sunday afternoon, take a look at what happens here. The clouds decrease, we see the sunshine.
Southerly winds also pick up just a little bit. They're going to guide in some warmer air in that combination with that sunshine, too. Mid 70s by 11:00 a.m. and take a look at that. We rise to near 80° to kick off the afternoon. We get well into those 80s as we get late into the afternoon and into the early evening. Look at that high temperature, 85° in Fort Wayne. Certainly much warmer, or at least a little bit warmer for many of us uh compared to Saturday. So, if you have any plans to maybe head out to a local lake, it might not be a bad day to do that, especially with the sunshine that pops out for the afternoon and evening with the maybe a few clouds here or there at times as we go throughout uh Sunday night and into Monday. But, let's take a look at the muggy meter cuz while it's going to feel like summer in terms of those temperatures, so will the humidity. We're going to be human on the muggy meter Sunday, and in addition to that, we're going to stay fairly warm and dare I say hot, especially for this time of year, on Monday and Tuesday where you can see human on the muggy meter there, but we do get back down to comfortable as a cold front will move through Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
Now, this humidity in conjunction with some of this heat could bring in a few chances for some showers and storms.
Some of these could be on the stronger sides of things. Monday would be Monday afternoon for any of that potential.
Evening you can see four winds in a marginal risk. So pretty low chance here. Little bit of a higher threat risk level two out of five that slight risk in that yellow in places such as Warsaw, LaGrange, and Angola and even parts of Noble County. And now the 10-day forecast, there is another chance of some rain on Tuesday.
We could see a couple more thunderstorms there too along a passing cold front.
Some of those could also be strong. The main hazards I'd be looking at for both Monday and Tuesday would be gusting winds, heavy rain, and lightning. So fairly typical for this time of year.
Not really looking at much in terms of tornado threat at this point. We'll keep you posted if any of that does change which for as of now that is some good news that we'd be mainly just some gusty winds that we would expect from these storms.
85° the high temperature Sunday, 88 Monday. That's a hot day for sure.
That's the hottest day of the 10-day forecast. One of the warmest temperatures that we see all year so far. 86 Tuesday, 65 Wednesday, 63 Thursday.
