A medical helicopter carrying a canine officer from Clay County, North Carolina landed this afternoon off Cherokee Farm Way near Alcoa Highway. Knoxville Fire Department sent this video of that Life Force Medical Chopper landing. UT Police say the canine officer, Luca, was exposed to concentrated ozone, which can hurt a dog's lungs. He was flown from Hayesville, North Carolina to UT's Vet School. UT Police say it's the first ever medical flight for a canine officer in the entire state of Tennessee.
