Every NEW Map Change in Fortnite v40.40 OverWatch Update! | (Overwatch x Fortnite)

[00:00:00]Hey guys, it's Postbox Pat. Welcome back to a brand new map change video. And in today's video, we're going to be going over all the map changes in the new BR BR update, the OG update, and whatever else we can find across all of the modes. If you've been living underneath some sort of rock and you haven't been following Fortnite for the last few weeks, you'll know that Overwatch has been on the horizon and it is now here in Fortnite. And we have a few landmarks which have been added in and a whole new bunch of gameplay trailers as well and gameplay in game. So, I'll play them on screen before we get into the map changes. It's super cool that you can actually use Trac's ability as well as I think it's Mercy's heal ability as well.

[00:00:35]These are two abilities you can use in game. The pulse pistols and the staff. I think the staff just heals players. I'm not too sure if it revives everyone. I haven't had a go with the staff myself yet, but I know the pulse pistols work exactly how Tracer works in Overwatch and you can teleport from side to side, which is pretty cool. Anyway, let's jump into the map changes and show you guys what we've got because there's an absolute ton. So, the first one we're going to start over at the main city location on the map, which is going to be located over here at Battlewood Boulevard. And they've actually swapped out the Tilted Clock Tower with the one from Overwatch, which is Kings Row, which is a famous map in Overwatch, which I believe is themed around London.

[00:01:14]So, this is kind of like Big Ben, but it's obviously Tilted Towers/Kings Row Tower from Overwatch. And you can see it's just awesome to see it in game.

[00:01:23]The buses here, the classic London London buses as well, the 629 and this is from Overwatch with some more Easter eggs is to the Overwatch series there as well. Just so much stuff added in in this POI. It's worth checking out if you're passing by Kings Row little Easter egg and there's lots of these all over the map out of these Overwatch mini map changes. We've got lots of these watch points situated around where the heroes from Overwatch would be based.

[00:01:47]These are kind of like the training grounds. I don't know much about Overwatch lore, so I'm not 100% sure what these are for, but they remind me of the training ground map and some of the main maps where you push the payload. That's the kind of vibe I get from these. These are all over the Fortnite BR map, by the way. Skyed all in different POIs. And we'll find a few of them as we do fly around. This is actually Hanamura, I think it is. Is that's how it's pronounced if I can't remember fully. I played Overwatch when it first released and I haven't played it since. So, it's been a good 10 plus years since I played the game. But you can see here we do have one of the main maps as well shrunken or shrinkedked into Fortnite. You can see we do have a lot of kind of ins and outs. I feel like in Overwatch it feels a lot bigger. In Fortnite it's just quite a small little temple up here, but it's an Easter egg to that. There's a few others as well as we do fly around. I'll show you guys them. We've got a lot of Easter eggs referenced to Overwatch. But let's go and check out some more of the Overwatch kind of towers. The watch towers, they're very similar. all the POIs almost identical to be honest. You can see this one here just has the same sort of vibe as the other one. Little bit different with the shapes with the ramp in the middle and stuff, but it's basically identical. And these are situated all over the map in different spots. So, you guys can definitely check them out if you're passing by. There's also these Overwatch pads as well. These are really cool. They're like helicopter landing pads which are Overwatch themed.

[00:03:09]I love how they've got the big logo on them as well. It's a big collaboration for Fortnite this and I'm surprised it hasn't got the hype behind it that I expected for it. Overwatch is such a big franchise. It's one of the most popular games of all times for multiplayer gameplay and one of the first of its kind as well to do that sort of stuff on a mass scale by Blizzard. So, I'm surprised Fortnite really haven't gone to town with it with the promotion and stuff. So far, it doesn't feel like it's taken off from my eyes, but you'll have to let me know in the comments down below. Do you think it will take off?

[00:03:38]There's also lots of these little kind of points now which are popping up over the map. I don't know what these are if they're for challenges or not, but you can just smash the glass and go straight into them. They're really weird. I don't really know what they are. I don't remember them being on the map at the start of this chapter. So, they're all over the place and you'll find them as you travel around the map. Just different little kind of huts and cube related stuff related to the Dark Voyager. And obviously, there is going to be a live event taking place very soon. We can see that we've got two separate timers on the map for that. Now you can see the glow of one timer I think will be over here for the seven team and I believe the other timer will be located over at the ice king castle if you're part of the team Ice King. You will be kind of clocking on to that as well. They'll start to display in game very soon. They may already be displaying right now. I didn't see them when I was in game, but there should be some live countdown timers over here as well ready for the live event which should take place in about 2 weeks or so or maybe slightly less. Okay, let's find some more Overwatch POIs because there are still one more to show you guys.

[00:04:37]Here's another one of them things I was mentioning just before we get to that as well about the cube stuff over here. The showdown stuff. Maybe this was added at the start of the season. I just missed it. These map change videos are so hard to keep up to date with now just because there's so many different modes. It's really hard to remember everything and create UEFN maps as well. So, I try my best to remember everything, but there are some things that I do miss on a weekly basis. And if you do notice anything I do miss, let me know in the comment section down below. [00:05:04]And this one is going to be the Busan Drum Pavilion. I believe this is a Busan, is it? I think it's how it's pronounced. This is one of the Overwatch kind of main POIs as well on one of their maps. So, pretty cool to see in game. There's also the Overwatch themed chests, which are really nice to have.

[00:05:20]You will get the Overwatch weapons from them. And this one seems to have some gold loot around it, which you can actually fish up as well. So, if you want to do a lot of fishing, you can do that right there. Really cool stuff. [00:05:39]Now, let's move on over and check if there has been any changes to the Save the World POI. So, I'm now over at the Save the World POI, and I feel like there hasn't been many changes to it this update. I did think these towers were new, but they're not. So, I don't know really what is new over here.

[00:05:55]bridge maybe, but to be honest, I feel like this was all here previously. So, it looks like they haven't updated this.

[00:06:00]I was expecting for maybe to make some additional changes to it. I may be wrong, but from what I look back on my other videos, it did feel like this POI hasn't changed since the last one. So, yeah, let's move over to OG cuz there's an absolute ton of map changes in there.

[00:06:14]Okay, so jumping into the OG map changes. Let's show you guys what we have. Some of these are super famous from back in the day and some of my favorite map changes we ever got in Fortnite. Now, this first one is over at Pleasant Park, and it's inside of the third blue house on this side over here.

[00:06:28]And if you go inside this house, you can see there is actually a secret bunker now added in to protect them from the volcano erupting. If you go down, you can see it underground under here. And it's a lovely little design. This was added in in this update, and was a famous little map change I made back in the day, and lots of people loved it.

[00:06:43]So, here we have it. The lovely map change for under the ground in the bunker. It's secret, so you kind of got to know where it is. And you got to break this little fridge here, and you can get down underneath. You can kind of see the door peeking out as well. So, do check that out. Okay, let's keep moving over. I'll show you guys some of more of the map changes in the OG. We've also got all of the earthquakes, which happened if you've been living under an ether rock. That happened a while ago, but they're now all on the ground with marks. And Loot Lake has now transformed into the Loot Lake vault. The vault is officially back. We should get the mini live events happening very very soon with the runes going around the map actually placing themselves in these little sections here. This was such an awesome time for Fortnite and for me the memories here were amazing. We did experience a lot of this and I streamed every single one of these and got tens of thousands of viewers watching. It was amazing and to me it was just a memory that I'll never forget. So thank you everyone that still tunes in today that was there on them live streams. So here you can see the map changes just at Loot Lake and it is them investigating the giant vault which has been dug up. At the time we didn't know what was going to happen here and we still are a little bit kind of surprised and excited to see what might happen with the unvoling event inside of here. Will something get invol unvolted or will something else happen? It's weird because technically an unvoling now wouldn't really work too well because the loot pool doesn't really follow the exact structure it did in season 8. So yeah, it would be exciting to see what would happen in that sense. So I'm looking forward to it. Okay, let's move over a little bit further and take a look at the rock people. They've been updated as well and they're located now on the side of the mountain and they're getting closer and closer to each other. You can see the guy rock person is climbing down with a flower in his hand. And the female one is slowly crossing the lava. She's taking a bit of time. She survived the first set of lava by swimming through it. And now she's up on her feet slowly moving to the guy. and eventually they watch the volcano erupt together. Pretty cool stuff for the rock family and we do see them transition further as well and a famous family from the Fortnite storyline. Now over at Retail Row for those that are fans of here we have the doubletory Durburger which has been constructed in this corner. These do feel a bit out of place at Retail Row. I actually made a video on the channel a very very long time ago. It must be at least seven or eight years ago now. And I transformed these bookstores and this section especially this store here. I transformed this into a Durburger and I felt like it fit better here personally.

[00:09:06]You could use creative on the BR map back in the day. That's how I did that.

[00:09:09]And then they decided just to add it at the side. Personally, the tomato one kind of fits, but I feel like the Durburgger one never really fit in retail. It just feels a bit out of place. Even though it is retail row for me, it just feels a bit too big for the POI. But that's just my opinion on it.

[00:09:24]But yeah, it's complete. You can come and check it out. And it's lovely to see the Durburg and the tomato temple, tomato town hall or tomato pizza pit next to each other. So yeah, kind of cool. Also, there's a bunker inside a retail row. So the bunker is located in this house here. This kind of one next to tomato, it's going to be the brown house. And if you go into the garage side, I think you can go down somewhere.

[00:09:47]Where is it? There we are. Underneath the car. So this bunker is quite a deep one. You got to move the car out the way. You got to break the car or the floor and it'll drop down into this lower section which is too deep which is really cool. And the ladder's been knocked down and there's a camera and you can come inside of here and you're in this lovely bunker. This is another really famous one and one that I would recommend visiting if you're passing by an OG in the next few days or so. Really cool POI to have in Fortnite finally.

[00:10:13]And you can even see they've got like kind of like an overwatch position of the actual vault unvaulting event which is going to take place. So a really cool POI. my favorite for this section. And it's actually quite hard to get back out of. You have to go back the way you came in rather than just going straight up because it's actually dug down deep. And now I think that is all the map changes in this update. There may be some minor ones and some little things that I may have missed.
