This video examines how US Attorney Darren Smith committed serious misconduct by telling a grand jury that defendants were 'bad people' and 'murderers' before they heard evidence, effectively prejudicing their deliberations; despite three judges dismissing nine felony indictments as a result, the Senate confirmed him as permanent US attorney for Wyoming in a 46-43 vote, illustrating how political loyalty can override due process and prosecutorial ethics in the US attorney nomination process.

Trump Crony HUMILIATES Himself in Court as Misconduct Gets EXPOSEDAdded:
Hi everyone, Harry here. We've got another unbelievable US attorney who committed violations in a grand jury that have now resulted in three separate judges signing a joint order dismissing nine counts and indictments that the grand jury returned against various defendants. And I just want to cut to the punchline first, which is after doing this, that is yesterday, Monday, May 18th, the Senate by 46 to 43 confirmed this guy that I'm about to tell you about to be the permanent US attorney. Okay? Uh he already was Darren Smith, a very controversial nominee. uh the normal charges of he's just a politician with no experience.
Basically, his main credential seems to have been running unsuccessfully as a Republican for Congress. So now as the interim US attorney back in January, he does the following. Comes in in a foly way and greets the grand jury that will be considering indictments against many defendants. And he says, "The proceedings are different from a normal jury trial. So far, so good. The defendants were not going to be the run-of-the-mill criminals seen in state court. They're going to hear cases where the defendants were bad people." This is all, by the way, an affidavit filed by one of the grand jurors. Defendants are bad guys who did what you are going to hear about. The defendants were murderers. your deliberations won't take long to determine that they committed the alleged crimes based on the evidence you're going to see. He said the last grand jury was able to come back in 3 minutes based on the evidence. Okay. On the basis of that, three different judges you absolutely gobsmacked and said, "You cannot charge and prejudice a grand jury that way. You completely told them and vouched for the um guilt of the various defendants and told them all kinds of things that were not part of the evidence in the case. This is flagrantly improper. All three of the judges together join from the district of Wyoming uh over the opposition of the government and uh all nine motions to dismiss are granted. Now, the court decided to grant them without prejudice, meaning they can come back to a different grand jury and try to get them again. The various nine defendants came right in and said, "Whoa, wait a second.
He has totally prejudiced our rights, and you should dismiss it with prejudice, so they can't come back and have a second bite at the apple." But the court, which uh in its opinion really lays into I mean what what can you say about this flagrant misbehavior?
There's more. By the way, during a break, uh the um US attorney was handing out his business cards. He invites the grand jury panels to reach out to him.
Nobody has so far. the um four person asked something about what the next case will be and the US attorney stood up and said like I told you guys before we're only giving you slam dunks all these all these cases are totally solid just you know complete uh steamrolling of the grand jury's um role a as uh independent uh check on prosecutorial power.
Hey everyone, Harry here letting you in on a little secret. If you've seen me on TV in a suit and tie, chances are I was wearing comfy sweatpants below the waist. Comfort is what I lead with. And I want to tell you, as a comfort obsessive, Cozy Earth has been a godsend. Cozy Earth's jogger sets are made from viscous from bamboo.
Lightweight, breathable, and the kind of soft that only gets better over time.
You might have noticed my craggy voice the last couple weeks. I was under the weather and basically wore sweats and a hoodie full time. So this is a cowboy who wants to, you know, swagger in his newfound power that he has uh really no sense of, no experience with and the like. And the uh criminals whose cases he botched include obscenity charges, firearm charges, drug distribution charges, all out the window unless they go again. That's not all there is to say about uh Darren Smith.
He's also someone who has denied uh the 2020 election, said it was stolen from him, has in different ways insulted the uh capital police, you know, is a real prize in the Trump stable. a guy who uh is distinguished both by no competence and by uh the lies that Trump uh apparently makes a kind of condition of nomination and then right away comes out of the box to the grand jury and uh does what I I think it goes without saying but you can imagine you say this kind of stuff to a grand jury that in theory is the independent ball work against the prosecution.
It's a flagrant violation of due process. And because these cases are now going to be brought again presumably by the government, uh we're going to continue to play this out. But the kota here, the mindbending kota is that after all of this, after the opinion last week by three separate district court judges dismissing nine different serious felony indictments, the uh Senate on a partyline 4643 vote confirmed this guy to be US attorney. It really um illustrates what a joke uh and how uh completely controlled by Trump is the whole nomination process for US attorneys. This is uh this kind of misconduct and the dismissal of all these charges is about as incendiary a set of allegations saying this guy cannot be US attorney whatever else uh that we have really heard and so this is now um he's now the guy confirmed by the Senate who knows what the next uh trick will be but this is this he's obviously you know, someone who knows nothing about or cares nothing of anything having to do with due process, grand jury process, rights of defendants, uh, and the like. And he's he was supported by both Wyoming senators. Wyoming, remember, they state that, um, ousted Liz Cheney because she worked uh on the January 6 committee. So, it's ruby red, but it's so red as to completely uh ignore the actual, you know, little nicities like prosecutotorial standards, ethics, what a US attorney is supposed to do. So really, it's a pretty stunning set of um dismissals involving really way beyond the pale prosecutorial misconduct with this god smacking kota that yeah, he's okay. Good enough for Trump, good enough for us, uh by the now confirmed United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming.
