India Tests 300-Km Range Suryastra Rocket System | Massive 'Make In India' Milestone | N18V

[00:00:00]India's indigenous capabilities are relying on private sector as well and we have seen in fact just two days back how Suryasa system in fact this particular system was tested by Nebe and today we have the officials from the same company who will tell us as to what are the kind of capabilities uh this universal rocket launcher system has got and in fact on 26th of January we had seen the same system being paraded on Kartavat we have Balak Krishna G if you can talk to us sir about kind sort of capabilities the system has got and also the sort of future prospect you are seeing.

[00:00:34]>> Yeah, sure. As you rightly said, we were very proud to demonstrate this uh technology on 26th January. So, this is Suryasra. It's a 300 km universal rocket launcher system. From this rocket launcher system, we can fire 150 km and 300 km rockets. It has a universal pods and it's a systems which has been indigenously developed in India. uh you know as far as Indian army is concerned so we have been given to understand that they have placed an order as well. Uh yes we had seen those videos where you have tested the particular system. Uh you know as far as tech transfer is concerned so we have been given to understand that technology transfer has happened from Israel. If you can talk to us about the sort of journey you had in the past few years as to how it got initiated and now what is the state what you know what is the status currently.

[00:01:20]>> So so this journey started almost a year back. uh we collaborated with our technology partner Elbit systems from Israel and with Elbit system we first entered into a technology collaboration agreement and in phases we were able to indigenize it. So we had the manufacturing drawings from them the process and all the quality assurance plans were developed in India. Yes from Indian army now under emergency procurement we have got an order we are going to deliver two launchers one battery command post and one loader vehicle to the Indian army. Other than suryastra you know nebe your company is involved in other projects as well you know after suryastra we saw vayastra as well if you can talk to us about that system as well.

[00:01:56]>> Yes before that I would also like to mention that just last week we had a very successful demonstration >> uh at ITR Chandipur and we were able to fire 300 km rocket launcher >> and rockets with a CP of less than 3 m.

[00:02:08]>> In fact those videos were available all over.

[00:02:10]>> Thank you. Yeah sure.

[00:02:11]>> So vastra now.

[00:02:13]>> Yes. So talking about vayastra, woastra is the loitering ammunition. It has an range up to 100 kilometers. So any target, it's a very smart uh loitering ammunition. The target can reach up to 100 km and it can loiter at that space.

[00:02:26]>> So even loitering ammunition, we have successfully demonstrated this. We had the trials for Indian army in Pokran and also in Jooshimat. In Pokran we basically had anti-personnel and anti- uh tank demonstration which we successfully demonstrated. And in Jooshimat we had moreover on the loitering and you know demonstrating at the higher altitude.

[00:02:46]>> And today you have this artillery project also coming up where Rakshamantri is coming. If you can talk to us about this project.

[00:02:52]>> So today we are at Shiridi and at Shiridi today we are inaugurating our capacity our capability of five lakh shells per year. In Shiri we are going to manufacture 155 mm. So the annual capacity year is 5 lakh. So honorable Rakshamri G would be inaugurating this facility today.

So there has been a lot of impetus on the private manufacturing and the industries and we have been seeing in the past that how there are a number of companies that are in fact involved in the sort of manufacturing or the sort of orders that we have from Indian army be the loitering munition be the artillery be the other systems in air defense private industry is coming a lot and nebu is one company that is involved with this suryastra that is a rocket launcher and also the Yuastra system that will somewhere enhance the sort of capabilities Indian armed forces have got
