To top all of this off, it's going to get much, much worse before it gets better thanks to new analysis from the International Energy Agency.
AAA says that the national average for gas is now $4.56.
That's up 3 cents over last week and worse, it's a $1.38 more than it was this time last year. Looking at some of the data in this chart, AAA also notes that current prices are close to where they were in Memorial Day 4 years ago when the national average was $4.61.
