And what followed was a textbook bank run. Between 5.4 and 6.6 billion dollars in ETH was pulled from Aave in a matter of hours, pushing pool utilization to 100% and temporarily freezing legitimate withdrawals for users who had nothing whatsoever to do with Aave.
