Don't Lose Hope - For Patients Without a Biomarker Match

[00:00:00]I don't want you to feel like there's no hope if patients don't have an actual genomic alteration. I feel very strongly about that. Immunotherapy can work really well still for patients that don't have an actual genomic alteration.

[00:00:11]Second, our definition of biomarkers that are targetable, that's evolving.

[00:00:16][music] Just over the last year and a half, we now are using newer biomarkers that [music] now we can match with the drug therapy and their antibody drug conjugates. And you won't know unless you've been tested for it. I can't tell [music] you the number of cases I've had over the last year and a half where I'm like, "Let's go back and let's look and see if maybe they've got this protein biomarker that's being overexpressed on the tumor." [music] And we find it and we match them with a relatively targeted type of drug, which we call antibody drug conjugates. So, don't lose [music] hope. There are options. There are still clinical trials and current standard of care therapies like immunotherapy can work very well for these patients.
