History Already Told Us How This Ends

[00:00:03]On the left you have Donald Trump at campaign rallies. On the right you have Adolf Hitler. Same gestures, same energy, same posture directed at a crowd hungry for someone to blame. And before you scroll away, I need you to stay with me because this video's not about comparing two men.

[00:00:21]This is about what history teaches us about movements and what happens to the people who just go along with them.

[00:00:28]In the 1930s Germany, Hitler did not rise to power alone, y'all. He had politicians who knew better but stayed quiet because they wanted to keep their seats. He had businessmen who funded the movement because it was profitable. He had media personalities who amplified the lies because it grew their audience.

[00:00:46]He had everyday citizens who showed up to the rallies, who wore the symbols, who reported their neighbors, and cheered for it. Some of them were really true believers. Many of them were just going along to get along.

[00:01:00]History does not make that distinction kindly.

[00:01:04]When the Nazi regime fell, the world did not just punish Hitler and then move on.

[00:01:09]The Nuremberg trials prosecuted military leaders, politicians, judges, doctors, and even businessmen.

[00:01:16]Denazification programs were implemented across Germany removing anyone who had actively supported the regime from positions of power in government, education, law, and media.

[00:01:29]Companies that used forced labor or funded the Nazi party were dismantled or forced to pay reparations. The defense of I was just following orders became one of the most infamous and rejected arguments in the history of human justice. Careers ended, reputations were destroyed not just for one generation but for many generations after.

[00:01:51]Now look at what's happening today.

[00:01:53]We have elected officials who have watched rights being stripped away, institutions dismantled, and democratic norms shattered. And they have stayed silent or actively cheered for it.

[00:02:04]We have media figures who know the truth and choose ratings instead.

[00:02:09]We have everyday supporters who show up to the rallies and wear the symbols and repeat the same talking points. And we have a generation of young people in American classrooms who are being taught a version of history with the most important lessons completely removed.

[00:02:27]And here's what I need you to understand.

[00:02:29]History does not remember the complicit kindly. And history is already being written about this moment.

[00:02:36]The question is not whether there will be a reckoning. That's happening.

[00:02:40]The question is which side of it you want to be on.
