The United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima (August 6, 1945) and Nagasaki (August 9, 1945) because Japan refused to surrender despite heavy losses in World War II, and the US believed a direct ground invasion would result in massive casualties; these bombings led to Japan's surrender on August 15, 1945, ending the war.

Why Did America Drop the Atomic Bomb? 💣本站添加:
Why did America drop the atomic bomb on Japan? Even after suffering heavy losses in World War II, Japan refused to surrender. On December 7th, 1941, Japan attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor, killing more than 2,400 American soldiers, which forced the United States to join the war. The US believed that a direct ground invasion of Japan would have resulted in massive casualties.
Therefore, on August 6th, 1945, the United States dropped the first atomic bomb, known as Little Boy, on Hiroshima. Just 3 days later, on August 9th, 1945, a second bomb, known as Fat Man, was dropped on Nagasaki, completely destroying the city. Following these events, Japan surrendered on August 15th, 1945. Did they fix this? Don't forget to share your opinion in the comments.
