[00:00:23]And today we've got a really cool series of um really cool new releases.

[00:00:29]Um These will be out for a while. They're not like limited necessarily, but they won't be out forever.

[00:00:35]They're launching what they call the Century line. And what that means is um 100 years since kind of the first guitars as we know it like this, flat tops, right?

[00:00:48]>> Mhm. Uh before that everything was like an arch top or a mandolin. They made all that kind of stuff.

[00:00:53]>> Right. 20 1926, I guess it would have been when they first started making the first like flat top kind of as we know them today. Yep. Yep.

[00:01:02]>> Okay. So, but I've got to point out, okay, these aren't like accurate of They're not >> They're not replicas >> not replicas of any eras. It's just a This is just kind of a fun celebration of 100 years >> 100 years of these, yeah. So, there's three models, okay?

[00:01:19]The J-185, which is kind of your slimmed down J-200. It's like a It's got that kind of curvy shape like a J-200.

[00:01:26]It's a little bit smaller. Famous from the '50s. It was a you know, hugely popular um Highly versatile. Very versatile. Yep, this one's mahogany back and sides, spruce top. Mhm. You know, the traditional um uh J-185s are maple. Mhm.

[00:01:41]Okay, uh 12-fretter. These are all 12-fret models, so they join the body here instead of here.

[00:01:47]Okay? Everything gets pushed down. You get a little more the bridge kind of covers more of the the lower bout area.

[00:01:55]>> area. The big surface area. Uh we also have a J-45, 12-fretter.

[00:01:59]These are all satin finish, nitrocellulose. So, they're kind of What's cool though, the prices. Yeah. They're wonderful.

[00:02:07]They're great prices. And then you have the L-00.

[00:02:11]And you can get each of these models in this color, the natural, the black, or the sunburst, okay? But wait, there's more.

[00:02:20]>> [laughter] >> Check this out. I think this is probably the coolest.

[00:02:24]These are kind of you know, Not a soft case. Not a soft case.

[00:02:28]>> a bomber case. This is a bomber case.

[00:02:29]Look at it. It's got the old stenciled logo there. Very cool. It's just a really cool case and kind of a bonus of It just you know, kind of has a It just has a nice vintage vibe to it.

[00:02:43]Yeah, I think well, we said this before.

[00:02:46]Uh you kind of alluded to the price for these guitars. Check out the the link to the actual instruments on Music Villa website. Take a look at the price. I think you'll be surprised um how accessible these are for a American-made Yep. all wood >> Yep. Gibson guitar, great features >> Dovetail neck joints.

[00:03:05]>> Yep. These are not you know, they're still built by hand here in Bozeman. The nitrocellulose um satin finish. I'm going to go on the record that I like satin finishes just cuz subconsciously my my >> It's a sound. Yeah. I I feel like it allows for a little bit more They're lighter too. For sure.

[00:03:26]>> not a lot of finish on a guitar. Okay, you just played the J-185. Just tune these up. Hopefully they're still holding up.

[00:03:36]>> [music] [music] >> That's the J-45. Back to the J-185.

[00:03:46]>> All ready.

[00:03:48]>> [music] [music] >> It's got a nice big sound too.

[00:04:00]>> And then there's your L-00.

[00:04:03]>> in tune.

[00:04:08]>> [music] [music] >> That's cool too. It's got a nice little It's got punch.

[00:04:26]>> I'd love um again, you know, uh hometown loyalty >> Yep.

[00:04:32]Gibson all American-made uh all wood. Really again, check out the prices. I think you'll be surprised. The quality of these instruments um with you know, what you end up paying for it with a bomber case, it's kind of all together a cool package.
