A sterile exercise in professional redundancy that meticulously quantifies the obvious while masquerading as essential expertise. It perfectly illustrates the modern habit of over-analyzing mundane reality to justify a sense of intellectual authority.

27 May 2026 | Vox Weather ForecastAñadido:
Typical for this time of the year and especially in autumn, it's been foggy over the West Coast and in parts of the Western Cape, which has been beautifully captured by photographer John Kerin in the video behind me. More fog expected on Wednesday morning. See as the details.
It's going to be another foggy morning for the West Coast, a Cape Town part of the Overstrand, as well as the Eastern Cape and a few foggy patches in the valleys over in northeastern South Africa. This is ahead of the next week old fronts expected to reach the Western Cape on Thursday, but ahead of it bringing an onshore flow of cloud, fog and some drizzle for the extreme southwestern coast and also very early some light drizzle likely to fall over the extreme eastern regions of the Eastern Cape. Otherwise, a dry Wednesday for South Africa.
We're expecting a northeasterly winds to calm down along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal with this northwesterly wind blowing moderate ahead of the front in Cape Town and the wind picking up on Wednesday afternoon over the eastern regions of the Northern Cape and parts of the Karoo. Another foggy morning for the West Coast, the Cape Town, as well as parts of the Overberg and Overstrand, so please drive carefully and cautiously in foggy conditions. Keep a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. We're also expecting some fog this morning over the southern parts of South Africa. Later, maximum temperatures about a 20°.
In the Eastern Cape, also foggy patches this morning in Adelaide and Bhisho, later 22°.
A partly cloudy day for East London with an onshore flow bringing in some cloud and a very early some drizzle likely in the vicinity of Mthatha as well as Port St. Johns.
It's a mainly dry day for KwaZulu-Natal with mainly sunny skies the afternoon and maximum temperatures about the mid-20s.
Moving to Mpumalanga where it's also going to be foggy at first in the valleys near Standerton and Machadodorp as well as along the escarpment. Later, a comfortable 26 in Barberton. And also in the morning, some fog and cloud hanging over Limpopo. Otherwise, it's going to be a mainly sunny day with maximum temperatures in the mid-20s.
Moving to Northwest and it's going to be a mainly sunny Wednesday after low of seven in Vryburg and Potchefstroom.
Expecting a high of 24°.
And then in the Northern Cape, ahead of that weakish front, we're expecting the north-northwesterly winds to pick up mainly blowing moderate in Upington, Postmasburg, Prieska and De Aar as well as Colesberg. And becoming a little bit windy this afternoon in the western parts of the Free State. The morning, we're expecting fog in the valleys near Bethlehem and Ficksburg. Late temperatures around 20. Then for Gauteng, it is going to be a coolish morning but a comfortable afternoon, mainly sunny skies and temperatures above 20. Overnight into Thursday, that weakish front sliding over the coast bringing drizzle for the coastal regions and a mainly sunny and comfortable autumn state for the rest of South Africa. Even warmer along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Then by Friday, behind that front, we've got an onshore flow bringing in a few light showers for parts of the Wild Coast and thunderstorms much later for the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. Well, that's all from me and remember, no matter the weather, we're in this together.
