$400 1966 BRONCO FIRST DRIVE! BUDGET CHASSIS SWAP WITH CHEVY S10 FRAME & FORD BODY!Added:
I'm so happy she runs and drives. Oh my god. I got no brakes. That's problem.
That's problem. That's problem. Oh my god. What is that? Oh, baby. It is finally time to take the Bronco S10. S10 Bronco Bronco chassis swap on S10. That that one's too long.
Whatever the hell we're calling this thing, it is finally time to take it for a drive. I am very excited. This build has went together very quickly. I've been playing with other stuff here and there, but I think I mean total work.
Probably not even a full month on this baby and she's already kind of together.
In the last video, I had it running. Now granted, it ran for about a half a second with some starting fluid, but I wanted to make sure all my wiring was okay, and it was. The reason it wouldn't run any longer than that is because we have some fuel line situations going on.
I custom made an adapter so that I can run the stock fuel pump in an aftermarket tank. Got the lines hooked up, thought we were golden, then sure enough, started realizing there is several other lines that are not hooked up. They are almost all tied to the stupid evap system. Not a big fan of it.
I'm pretty sure you can delete it. I don't really want to delete it just because everything is there. The electronics are all still there.
Everything plugs in. But I don't remember the orientation all that goes to. If you haven't watched all the videos, we took 30 in out of this frame.
And whenever you take 30 in out of a chassis, some stuff gets unplugged. A smart person would know right where it goes back in. I'm not a smart person. I just kind of undid it all and then, you know, sort it out later. It's one of those cases where past Casey screws over future Casey. I do it often and I say I'm not going to, but I'll probably do it in this video to be completely honest with you. We also have some brake line stuff going on. Uh the brake line shouldn't be too bad. We might have to make a couple lines, but I didn't cut any of the lines. Everything should be technically 30 in longer than it was, so a lot of it should still work. So, we got to figure all that out, figure out what's going on. Then after we get all that done, if we get it all that done, we have to come up here and make a bunch of mounts for stuff because we have a lot of important crap just kind of hanging out. This isn't actually attached. That's not attached. The big problem is my battery is currently sitting on the tire. Can't take a drive like that. That's the ECU. This poor girl has just been hanging out over here, which is really dumb. So, we have to make mounts for all that. I don't have any inner fenders right now, so I can make all that from scratch, which is kind of nice, actually. We don't have to modify any old inner fenders. We'll just make our own to kind of hold everything, make a battery tray. But before we do any of that, we need to figure out what the hell is going on with these fuel lines. I do not have any power to my fuel pump either. A couple people said S10 tanks are normally grounded and then your fuel pump ground runs through there. I don't have a ground for it, so we're going to have to figure something out with that as well. But first off, I want to find out where all these damn lines go. Let's go.
Funny story. I put this rag here, I think, right after I welded the frame together because one of these was leaking. I don't know how long that's been there, but it's been there for a while. Also, I took this one off. I didn't take the other ones off. I think my extra lines that I'm freaking out about, I think those are just like extensions because, you know, this all used to be 30 in longer. So, I might be uh freaking out over nothing. Usually, when you do a chassis swap, the goal is just put everything back that you take off. But, in my case, we shrunk the frame so much that I think I have extra parts. But, I could still be wrong cuz I'm not 100% sure.
There we go.
Let's double check these while we're here. That looks good. That looks good.
Brake line is just to the rear end.
And it used to have a whole other section to it. I'm pretty sure I can just bend this down and go straight to the rear end. Now we should be okay. My drive shaft apparently only has two bolts in it. It should have four. So I probably lost those. That's not great. We're looking good down here. Let's go up top side and see what the hell's going on. Also, I airbag everything. I got to be honest with you, this is pretty nice. I always put a jack under stuff just in case, but it's essentially jacked up about 3 in.
It's not super jacked up. This is kind of nice. I can use this [ __ ] I say that and we're going to bag the next car for sure, but still.
Well, we're back under here. I got the lines figured out. Took forever took forever. Why does that taste like [ __ ] God, I was talking. It was in my mouth and it instantly tasted bad. Oh, I think there's grease on it. Good, GOOD, GOOD.
THAT'LL DO IT.
Forgot what I was saying. Probably wasn't important. Oh, got the lines all figured out. Took forever. I am putting the fuel pump lock ring on.
Oh god, that's where the grease came from. Son of a [ __ ] And no matter how I clock it, I just do not have enough wire to plug it in and click the lines in. So, we're back under the car and I have taken loose all of the wire connectors to the frame just for about another inch or two of wiring, which is fun. But luckily, there wasn't a ton of stuff plugged in yet. That needs to go over that, under that, over that.
under that. And then that goes up there.
Perfect. We will have to zip tie all this. Oh, the camera started beeping at me. It was mad. Remember what I was saying? Oh, we are going to have to zip tie all this now because I took all these whatever they're called. Frame connectors. I don't know what they are.
We'll have to zip tie all those back up.
Kind of reroute them a little bit. But we should have plenty of room now. A couple more lines to hook up and then I think we're good to go. Oh, we still have to make a ground for the new tank.
And I got an idea for that, but we'll do that whenever I get all this [ __ ] done.
Fuel lines done and everything plugged in. But we should be really close right now. Let's go.
Well, we have a little bit of an issue.
The adapter I made is about a/4 inch or 3/8 of an inch too short or too low, I guess you would say. No matter what I do, I cannot get this fuel pump to sit in there. I could take the adapter all apart, add a little shim.
That would be easier, but it's kind of a [ __ ] to bolt in. So, I have taken the fuel pump apart. Here is the little shafts that it rides on. I am going to cut and shorten those about a half inch also.
Oh, that's still connected.
That is the fuel filter that you see.
That is the fuel filter inside the canister that you don't see. And it looks like absolute [ __ ] So, we're going to clean that guy out really, really good while we're doing this. Need to make sure everything plugs back in the way it was and hopefully nothing breaks. These are really thin, like brake line tubing. So, I'm going to cut them. And it looks like all they have to stop them is a flare. So, I'm going to cut them and flare them just like you would a brake line. And then we should be good to go. It's plenty long. These have a ton of See how much play they have in them? But whenever I compress it all the way, it's just like this close.
I was going to take the stoppers out of the bottom cuz it has rubber hole or rubber stops at the bottom. But it needs those because it needs to ride just a little just a little bit above the very bottom.
That way it can suck gas from there.
Let's uh try and be super gentle and cut some [ __ ] without getting a migraine because it absolutely reeks like gas in here now. Yay.
This uh took like 10 minutes.
It would have saved me so much time if I would have just done that from the start.
But hey, you live and you learn.
Click, click, click. And then All right. Holy [ __ ] it stinks like gas. Let's get this [ __ ] installed.
Okay, lines are all done. Fuel lines, brake lines, wiring is all plugged in. I do have one ground that I need to do.
Also, we need to do a ground on the gas tank. And I left a vent port on my aftermarket tank even though the S10 shit's already vented, but I still wanted that there just in case.
And what I'm going to do is I'm going to drill and tap this so that we can have a bolt coming out of the top of it. And then we'll just have a ground from here over to there.
Should work maybe. Hopefully. Oh, also fun fact, we spent all that time fighting the fuel pump. I shortened it because I was sure that it was just, you know, bottoming out. It was too tall.
Turns out it was never the problem. This O-ring is either to the wrong gas tank or it has swelled to where it's way too big and it won't let the sending unit full pump fuel pump sit down where the lock ring goes. I can't tell you how long I wasted before I figured that out.
I took the stupid thing out. It popped right down. So, I don't even know if it needed modified. It's fine. It shouldn't hurt anything. But, uh, that's annoying.
Luckily, I had a smaller kind of O-ring.
It's probably not the right one, but it's in there. This ground is the one that goes to the rear tail lights and everything. And I had a bunch of people telling me the fuel pump goes through this one. Whenever I was trying to get it to work the other day, I was putting this on the frame and it wasn't working.
So, I'm hoping it's just the ground from the gas tank. Also, I read online sometimes if you're evap canister [ __ ] Some of them have sensors in them. If it's flipped upside down and it kind of works like a fuel cut off cuz it's mounted in the frame obviously, so it's upside down. A problem has happened. Not sure if that's true or not, but I did have it technically the wrong way. So, I flipped it over the right way.
bolt right there. Beautiful. We got to get this guy on there and then we will go modify our vent port and then we should be able to see what happens. If it's not working after all this, I don't even know where to look to be completely honest with you. But something should happen. At the very least, the fuel pump should kick on. Oh my god, that's a pain in the ass. We might have to do that from the bottom. Let's just do that. And I'll do that off camera. Okay, let's mess with the uh vent port.
All right, we got him drilled out.
And I used a little button head bolt so it wouldn't interfere with how the uh A fitting seals.
And then this guy goes on here maybe.
And then that guy goes on there.
Let's see.
Oh [ __ ] I just realized I messed up.
I can't get that in there after I do that. Hold on. Hold up.
Dries again.
Oh [ __ ] There went my washer.
We're back in business.
That goes on there.
That goes on there. And then we'll put another washer on it just for shits and giggles. And then that Oh [ __ ] Yes.
Then this will still go on and tighten.
And since that bolt is way up in there, it should still work. I also I don't think this anodized coating will affect the ground, but just in case, I ground it all down. Let's go see what happens. It should work. It's pretty damn cool either way. Oh, put a magnet on a bolt. It's a game changer for when the bolts in a stupid frigin spot. That goes there. That goes right there. Bam. Bam. And then this guy, we'll move that around a little bit.
Goes.
Yes. All right, I'm going to tighten this [ __ ] down and uh we're going to go hit a key and see what the heck happens.
Oh, I'm excited. Okay, battery is hooked up. I double checked everything underneath. What the hell is that? Don't know. Not important. Let us see what happens.
Why is Why the hell is the radio on? I don't feel like the radio should be on if the key is not on. Nothing else is on, right? No. Okay.
I hear the fuel pump.
I hear the fuel pump, but the fuel gauge says empty. That's not great.
Huh.
It acts like it's trying to move. Maybe it's because I got the truck jacked up.
It's definitely priming though. The reason I haven't tried to start it yet is because we had the main line off at the filter and those filters are like this big. So, they take a little bit to prime. Anyway, gas gauge should be working. Unless it's just that low. I mean, it's working.
It's moving, but it seems way lower than it should be. Let's see if it starts. I had a hose that was right across my fan earlier and thought I was going to break it, but I got it zip tied right now. All right, let's see what happens.
Yes, we got oil pressure. We got batteries charging. It says the brights are on.
Brights are off now. Brake light, low fuel. That's all I have. brake lights probably because it's out of uh it's out of brake fluid in the rear right now.
Oh, that makes me so happy. Oh, yes.
YES. OH MY GOD, THAT'S A JUNE BUG.
>> Holy [ __ ] It's not even June, dumbass.
Sweet.
Oh god. We probably should put the exhaust back on cuz that is blowing right there into the gas tank. It's not that big of a deal right now, but I I don't think I cut it. I think it all bolts right back up. Oh my god, that's amazing. What the [ __ ] are we going to do next? I don't know.
No check engine light, no nothing. I kind of wanna I kind of want to take it off the jack stands and see if the fuel gauge goes up, but I still need to put the drive shaft in. And we are going to have to bleed the rear brakes now because all that was off. Actually, you know what I'm going to do real quick? I am going to fill up the uh Whoop! I'm going to drop the tripod. I am going to fill up the master cylinder and see if that wasn't my brake light issue cuz I have a feeling that's what it was. That could also be lights, but let's see real quick. All right, it was bone dry.
So, I'm hoping that's my issue, but let's see. Brake light is off.
Service engine is on, but I think that's cuz it's not running. Let's see.
Nothing.
No lights at all, baby.
That is amazing. No check engine light, no [ __ ] It just thinks it's an S10 again. No big deal. Let's go driving.
The only problem that I have, which is not really a problem, we need to mount all this [ __ ] All this needs to go on the frame rail. I'm probably not going to try and get all that done for a drive cuz today's Thursday morning. So, yeah.
But I do have to get the stuff mounted under the hood. The problem that I have is a cosmetic one. I would love to have all of this working with just the uh center speedometer on the Bronco style dash. I don't know if that's even possible. And if it is possible, I highly doubt it's going to be just a plugandplay situation. So, I need to do some research on that. If I have to, I can cut this up. Obviously, it's all angled and [ __ ] I don't want that.
We'll cut the bottom. So everything is flat. And then just kind of mold this into that flat part. I also need to get the dash in here and see exactly where it lands cuz I'm not sure. I think it's way back here, which is kind of annoying, but we'll figure that out whenever time comes. Right now, I just want to get it running. Also, I've had a million people say, "Change the steering wheel." I have a Bronco style steering wheel, not a Bronco steering wheel, and an adapter. So, we'll change all this out. I don't know what we're going to do about this big bulky [ __ ] here. We're probably just going to have to hide it somehow. I don't know what we could do with the Bronco style dash is bring it out. Like not all the way out to here, but like if it's supposed to be way back here, we could move it up a little bit and then just have I don't know, little 2-in box around it. It wouldn't be perfect by any means, but it would kind of help with this bulkiness. That's the only thing that sucks about uh newer cars. They have all this bulky [ __ ] You could technically cut this up and run just like a aftermarket universal column, but it's a mess. I've had to do it on hot rods before. It's not the most fun and I certainly don't care enough on this build to do it. So, yeah, but I we will be changing out the steering wheel at the very least. Oh, wow. I can't believe she runs. That is amazing. No leaks, no nothing. I double checked everything. So, tomorrow we come in. I need transmission fluid. For a guy that spills transmission fluid basically every day. Uh even this poor girl. I had it at a weird angle and the tail shaft is open on the transmission. So, we even spilled some here. I don't have any. So, I need to get some tomorrow. And then bleed the brakes, put the drive shaft in, top the transmission off, and then we need a battery tray at the very least. This stuff we can kind of hang.
Most of this bolts like in a hanging position anyway. Some of that's we can kind of skirt away with. This needs to be solid. This definitely needs to be solid. And then the rest of it's just kind of wire management [ __ ] So I usually have a metal battery tray like a universal one cuz I do this on basically every car. But I think I might have used them all. I used one on the Escalade, I used one on the Blazer, and I used one on maybe my vet. But yeah, so if I don't have one, we'll make one. But boy, they're really nice. They're like 20 bucks and it's just a metal tray. Easy peasy.
I'm going to bed. Holy [ __ ] this is awesome. We still have a lot of cosmetic stuff to do. But I will be so excited.
We get to take it for a drive tomorrow.
Sweet. We'll be back >> the next day.
>> All right, baby. We got all new fluids, filters, all the stuff we need to change. I started kind of playing with the wiring harness a little bit. just undoing this tangled up fishing line of a wiring harness that I have. And then I realized I should probably not worry about that right now. I need to have it routed a certain way so I can mount my ECU and all that stuff. But we should probably do the mechanical stuff before we even bother with that because technically for a drive, I could wadd all that up in a ball, stick it on the engine, buzz it around the block. No big deal. But if for some reason there's an issue with the drive shaft or any other crap we have to do minus bleed the brakes. I'm going to do that last because that's a pain in the ass and I don't want to do it. I have a vacuum bleeder so it's easier but I still don't want to do it. So let's get the drive shaft in. I don't know if I'm going to mess with the exhaust. It technically should bolt right back in. I also have a bunch of exhaust pipe so I could add to it or change it if I want to. I don't know what's changed though since we shortened the frame so much. I know it'll bolt obviously to the exhaust flange, but I have no idea how clearance is going to look under there. Let's crawl around on the ground, get all dirty, and see what the hell's going on under there. Yay. Well, came down here to put the drive shaft in and realize my transmission is offset. I don't know, 3 or 4 in. So, I am almost certain the rubber has came apart. Let's see. Yep. Son of a [ __ ] That's not great.
Oh, get back out of there. Yep. She is 100% disconnected.
I might actually have a trans mount around here cuz I think I could be wrong. I think Chevys have kind of the same style that I use on all these hot rods and stuff. It's almost like a universal setup. I'm not sure. I could be making all that up, but I'm going to check the shop real quick and we'll see. Uh the next video I'm either going to be putting the new one in or I'm dropping that right back where it was. And we're going to have to order some parts. We can still drive it like that. We just need to not get too cute with it cuz that [ __ ] can kind of move around. Uh, I did drive the living hell out of it when it was a truck though.
Did a bunch of burnouts. Got it sideways. That's probably why the son of a [ __ ] is off center now that I think about it. Let's see if I don't have any parts for this. Oh my god. I think that might be the exact one. I have two of these. I'm not 100% sure though. I can't exactly tell. But let's uh get under there, take some measurements, unbolt some [ __ ] and see if we can't just pop that right in there. That would be amazing if that worked. Not sure yet, though. Let's find out.
It was the exact same one. That was so lucky. Look how bad this thing was.
It was doing nothing. I don't know if you could see in there with the camera, but it was like this.
It was that far offset.
So, that's a good thing we switched that out. All right, let's keep going back to where we were about a half hour ago. Put the drive shaft in.
Drive shaft is in.
Uh, transmission mount is in. Did I tighten these? I think I did.
Yes, I did. What about the top? Yes, I did. Okay. Now, I took the exhaust and just sat it up here.
And right off the bat, we can tell it's way too long. It's going to hit the rear end. It's going to do all kinds of [ __ ] We are gonna have to get cute with that and go over the rear end or do some sort of shooter out the sidy type [ __ ] Since I'm going to be fabricating stuff for all the mounts under the hood, I'm just going to get a rough measurement. So, if I do want to add this muffler, we can cut it and put it up here and not hit the rear end.
Uh, call it 3. Wait, call it 35 maybe. N call it 34. 34. Okay, so if we decide to mess with the exhaust, we know what size we need to make it. Okay, cool. Oh, that looks so much better. I am so happy about that. ALL RIGHT, LET'S go play under the hood. Yay. I was incredibly lucky having a random transmission mount sitting around the shop. That's why you have too many projects, kids. You got extra parts.
I got everything on the driver's side done except one more bracket. Look at this little cutie patootie like tomahawk.
It's the cutest thing I've ever seen.
It's weird as [ __ ] but that is because it bolts into the relay box and then a giant cable goes right through here. And I didn't want this little bracket.
There's like a little rubber mount that it sits on. I didn't want this bracket anywhere near it's basically the main power cable. So, I just notched it. And then sure enough, it's cute as hell. All right, let's weld it on.
Ow.
How the [ __ ] did I burn my hand up there? OW. THE GLOVE GOT HOT, so it's like a delayed reaction.
Now, we don't need to get too cute with welding this radiator's right there.
It's 2 in away, so it should be okay.
There's also wiring here. Just needs to hold this up. Really doesn't need much.
I probably already welded it too much, honestly. But let's hit it a little more.
Sweet.
Oh, yeah.
Oh yeah, check this out. So, check it out. Got this mounted. Got this mounted.
Got our relay and stuff mounted. And then whenever we figure out what we're going to do with our intake, the reason I wanted this this way is so we can tie it in here. It's okay right now just hanging, but I'm sure I'm going to change it at some point. And if I need to tie in have like a cone filter, we can have bracing here. Sometimes it's a [ __ ] to tie it all the way back to the radiator. So, very happy. also put a a gusset on it. Why? I mean, this weighs nothing, but hey, whatever. Sometimes you got to overbuild [ __ ] Now, what we have to do first on this side is get our battery mounted first and then figure out where everything else can go. I have uh I don't even know what this is. I think this is a headlight relay. No clue. Uh but it's a relay, so it needs to be mounted. I'm going to try and hide as much of that in the fender as I can, but depending on how I make the battery box, I can tie a lot of this stuff into the battery box. This is the only thing I'm not quite sure where to go. My batter is right there. I can't really go right there. So, I don't know how we're going to do this one just yet. It's kind of important. So, we don't want it We want it mounted plenty strong. We also want to make sure it's nowhere near the wheel. Luckily, since this isn't bagged, I have a lot of room up here. But still, we do mount it up here somewhere. We're gonna 100% have to put inner fenders on, which I will at some point anyway, but not right now. We're trying to drive this [ __ ] So, let's get a battery mount.
I I think I spent more time notching this than if I would have just cut it off and welded it back. Got to weld it anyway, but maybe it'll look cleaner. I don't know.
Probably should have just cut it off.
Let's find out together.
I might need to make that a 90.
Actually, that was a waste of time.
Oh, I'm so strong. Look at that quarter inch plate. Wasn't even cut. That's just how freaking strong I am. Yeah, I think a 90 would probably be better. Okay, let's keep going. Battery tray is being a pain in the ass, but of course it is.
Check this out. Just in case you didn't know how much a weld can pull metal around, that is a quarter inch plate.
It's actually tacked pretty good already, but it'll still go all over the place on you while you're welding it.
Check it out. I put this in a very stupid spot, I'm realizing.
See, you're bouncing all over the place.
And what's funny, whenever it cools, it'll move again. I don't usually have that patience. So, I just wanted to show you. Thought it was funny. Last couple welds and the battery box is done, baby.
Okay, sweet. I'm going to grind this down. My tray is plastic, so I'm not putting it anywhere near any of this right now. Once I get the tray in there, I can kind of figure out where everything else is going to live. I made all this beefy so that I can tie stuff into it, like my grounds and whatnot.
Don't do that. That'll melt. So, yeah, let's keep going. Holy [ __ ] This took some figuring. But I made an inner fender slash holder for all my [ __ ] The ECU, the relays, and then I think there was another thing for the headlight. All those will bolt to this. Uh the two bottom ones will bolt here on the back side away from the tire. This will sit here on top.
Uh it's kind of pain in the ass. If you look at I was looking for a trailer fender. I always have trailer fenders I use for stuff like this, but I either don't have any right now or they're in my other shop. And I was looking at stock Bronco inner fenders and it's literally just flat. It looks like sheet metal just bent in uh whatever in the [ __ ] this shape is. Half of a stop sign.
Half of a STOP SIGN. THE [ __ ] So I was like, [ __ ] that's kind of what I'm going for just to hold this [ __ ] So this is going to work out great. I'd probably do the same on the other side, even though you don't see anything on the other side. You can't even tell where an inner fender is. But I want to have obviously some sort of sheet metal to block water, all the other [ __ ] that happens while you're driving. So, I am going to weld this frame up. Then, I'm going to put sheet metal over it, and I'm calling it a night. And tomorrow, everything will just bolt on cuz I shouldn't need to make any mounts or anything. Everything should just go back where it needs to go. Add transmission fluid. See if we can't drive the old girl.
Okay, let's cut some sheet metal, grind some [ __ ] and uh throw it on there. Call it ready for tomorrow. Last piece of the very annoying puzzle.
Oh, I am tired. And I burnt the living [ __ ] out of my arm. Oh my god, that's a bad one. Woo. I was welding and I went right there right after I put a big old cherry weld on there. Damn, that's a doozy.
You know it's a gummy when it still burns like an hour later.
All right, let's see here. [ __ ] Oh, you [ __ ] There we go.
Okay, I'm going to tackle this a little bit more, grind it, and then I am done for the night. We'll be back tomorrow to button some [ __ ] up and take her for a spin. I'm excited, but also tired. This came out so good. Everything needs to cool down. I got wires and [ __ ] zip tied away from where I was welding, but we should be good to go. Everything that needs plugged in. Already has mounts.
Already has holes for the grounds.
All right, we back, baby.
>> The next day, >> rear brakes are bred. Oh my god, that's not off to a good start. Rear brakes are bled. Now I got to clean up all this [ __ ] 100% not messing with the exhaust system right now. We need to get all this tied up, mounted, all the other [ __ ] that needs done. Make sure we get our grounds reconnected cuz I think there's four or five of them not connected. So, let's do all that. See if we can't take the old girl for a drive.
Uh, I made that sound like that was 10 minutes worth of work. It's probably an hour or two. But, let's get to getting the battery hooked up that I just threw this in here. That actually fits semi. Okay. I was never planning on using these because both of my seats were shitty. I already trashed the passenger one, but that's actually not bad. And the front's running right into a floor brace. Oo, we might have to actually find some S10 seats. How does it sit? Question. Uh, a little too low. So, never mind. Put a riser on them. All right, let's see what happens. Holy [ __ ] Everything looks good so far.
Yes.
Oh my god.
Well, I am an idiot. I did not bleed the rear brakes while I was running.
I knew I should have did that.
I should still have fronts though. We're going to go for a drive, but we're not going to get too cute with it. Son of a [ __ ] You don't have the power booster on. It's not getting the full stroke.
I don't know. Whatever. Heck. All right, let's see. We're going to make sure nothing's in front of us. That's for damn sure. We have brakes, but not a lot of brakes. Not good brakes. Something is hanging from the frame. Not dealing with any of that because [ __ ] Uh because we're running late. So, let's take it really easy. See what happens.
Brakes are kind of non-existent. So, we're not going to get too cute.
I'm going to make sure it'll stop us before we get too dumb.
This seat not being mounted is kind of a [ __ ] Oh, she looks good.
What was that?
What was rubbing right then?
What was rubbing right then?
Huh.
I didn't have the wheels turned very far. That wasn't good. Let's see what happens. Oh my god, the brakes are very bad.
We're going to have to trim a little bit of things for our front wheels, I think.
Oh, she runs good, though.
Need a windshield as well. Let's hear it. Let's listen.
All right.
Not great, but it's not as bad as I thought it was.
That's not good.
She runs, baby. She runs, but she drags.
Oh, that was that sounded important. Are we really going to jump this freaking curb? No, we're not.
Yeah, we are. Oh, baby.
Oh [ __ ] I don't like that at all.
There we go. That terrifies me. I'm hoping we didn't break anything. I can see my tire right there. And they look okay. Oh, I think it hits the very, very front. Check it out. It's right right there on both sides.
You don't even see that. That's the one that's way up in there. Yep. See, I parked it right there perfectly. I am a little worried about this.
Whenever I made that battery box, I was cycling the suspension, but that's still closer than I like. I don't care about the plastic box, obviously, but the metal. That would be a problem. We still need to trim some [ __ ] back there anyway, but I might round that corner a little bit more.
Sweet. Everything else looks okay. This is the easiest fix ever. I thought it was up here at first.
Sweet.
There's a lug nut in the street.
>> That's not a good sign. Oh [ __ ] Look at that freaking Bronco, man. Oh [ __ ] It runs and drives. This build is moving so fast. I could probably finish this thing in a week. Should we finish this thing in a week? Just knock it out.
Kind of tempted to.
I can find some seats on Facebook Marketplace. Get them thrown in. Eh, kind of want to paint it. Oh, I still need a damn hood. I keep forgetting I need a metal hood. I hate that stupid fiberglass hood. We could use it for now, obviously, but find one later, but I'd rather find one now.
Oh man, it runs really good. Uh, we still got some wires kind of hanging around in a couple spots. Need to weld some stuff a little bit more. But overall, man, I think I have everything for it, too. I got a windshield coming.
I got a windshield seal. I got all the tail lights or all the lights and trim.
We might just knock this [ __ ] out of the park real quick. Oh, I love it.
Okay, got to get this video done. Video is running late as always, but check that freaking thing out. It runs, it drives. I'm so excited. Need to fix several things. This was a temporary little How you doing? We have front brakes, which is fine. Back brakes aren't the most important by any means, but it's scary when the pedal still goes all the way to the floor because there's air in the lines obviously. So, we need to fix that. A couple other things. I think I could knock this thing out in about a week. Do we stay on it? This has not been the most popular build on the channel by any means, but I didn't get my Porsche windshield. I was supposed to get it today. I think I'm getting it Monday now, which is a little annoying. I don't know. I don't know. We could also play with something else. I got plenty of other projects.
Let me know what you guys think. Dude, that's a cool looking Bronco. I'm going to drive the living [ __ ] out of this thing this summer, I think. Okay, got to go.
