[00:00:00]Hey there, I'm Jason and welcome to the learn physics from scratch course. If you found yourself here, you probably want to learn physics in the fastest and simplest way possible. So, I built this course to do just that. Everything that I know, all the hard questions I've been asked over the many years I've been doing this and so much more have been carefully crafted into this single resource so you can just sit back and learn physics fast. And so, as a quick overview, we're going to aim to simplify concepts. We're going to teach you reasoning skills all while using basic algebra. But I think the better way to describe what I've crafted here is if all you had were this course, you still ace physics faster than learning it in class. And so my goal and my role and your biggest takeaway is for me to kickstart the cycle that you see in front of you. And it all starts with better understanding. Better understanding is going to lead to better grades. Better grades is going to make you more confident. And the more confident you feel, the more effort that you're going to be willing to put in to then increase your understanding even more. And so, as a general rule of thumb, this cycle really should apply to any great resource that you use. Okay.

[00:01:03]Now that I've given you a overview of what to expect, I want to dive a little bit deeper. So, over the next few minutes, I want to share three things. I want to share who I am, who this course is for, and most importantly, what's inside this course. So, let's start with me and why I actually made this. I'm Jason. I'm the creative nerdnotes.com.

[00:01:19]And over the last eight years, I've wrote, recorded, and taught thousands of hours of physics content. And moreover, built dozens of learning tools to accelerate learning. I've crafted paid programs specifically to help over a thousand students score a five on the AP physics exam. And the list goes on. But I think what I'm trying to say, if I'm trying to say anything at all, is that I've clocked in well over 10,000 hours mastering physics. Also, that way I can teach it to you in just a 100. It's the same key problems, the same concepts, and the same misconceptions that are common to every student. And I believe this makes a huge difference in learning.

So, this course is primarily designed for AP Physics 1 students, but this will also work really well if you're in honors or even regular high school physics as most curriculums tend to overlap. Now, if you are taking physics in your first year of college, this can work really well for you. Just make sure that your class actually covers the topics within this course. And if you're just starting physics, this course will give you a rock-solid foundation and help you get super far ahead as it's designed to be done in under 12 weeks. But let's say that you're already started and nothing is making any sense. Maybe your teacher isn't teaching. I get this one a lot.

[00:02:51]And so if you are at this point, then you should definitely use this course as a standalone learning tool or you can use it in parallel to your classroom instruction. Lastly, if you're almost done with physics, you'll still find this course useful. In fact, you can use it to review for a midterm, to go back over topics, or maybe even cover entire units that were not taught clearly in the first place. So, no matter where you are, you can definitely leverage this course to learn more, to learn it faster, and to get better overall. Let's talk a little bit more about what's inside this course. So, this course is built on three main resources. The first one being video lessons. Now, these are fast-paced, these are clear, and these are straight to the point. It focuses on concepts but more importantly problem solving as that's like 90% of physics.

These are quick to skim over and they're super easy to revisit when you're reviewing for a test.
